Crazy part is if Lamar didn’t win MVP last year, this would be a much closer debate. Lamar is having the best passing season of his career. But zero chance he is getting his 3rd. it’s Allen and I don’t think it will be close. That said, who cares? Let’s win a SB.

Why can’t we have an appreciate post without crapping on a former Bill? Love Mack Hollins. I also enjoyed Davis scoring 4tds in a playoff game as well.
-
Insane post to hate on a OC who just helped his team score 42 points. the bears need to do whatever they can to hire him.
-
Insane that Josh has ever made it a conversation. In terms of position value, it might have to be Josh. But what Bruce did as a 3-4 DE with what I remember as not a great DC in a league that had way less pass attempts is absolutely insane. Crazy part is if you could magically have prime Allen and Smith together, we would have won multiple SBs.

Bobby Babich to call Bills' Defense

Rosseau and Oliver. Douglas and Benford could push too. That’s 2 1st round picks and a guy we gave up decent draft capital for. also, Poyer wasn’t regarded high when we brought him in. -
the Daboll/Schoen regime - on the brink, it seems
C.Biscuit97 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like Daboll as a WNY guy even if he went to SF. But imagine you are Lovie Smith who got fired after going 10-6 after taking Rex Grossman to a SB and Daboll keeps his job 😆. also, besides with Allen which he deserves a ton of credit for helping develop, his resume sucks pretty bad. Is he really some sort of offensive genius? I’ll hang up and listen. -

I still think Frazier got scapegoated. And that’s the thing with the playoffs. You play better teams with better qbs. The Bills (and it’s a good thing) have feasted on terrible qbs. Also, Milano is hurt most years, Tre white, and a lot of aging talent too. imo, defensive talent is the easiest to replace because it’s all about going young, hungry, aggressive players. -

I’m happy with everything and like BB as a good young coach but I did think it’s hilarious how things are viewed sometimes. Frazier and his top 3 defensive teams - soft, bum, 🤮 Babich and his 15th ranked defense - tough, future head coach, 😍 -

That was 100 years ago and he just won a national championship -

Even before that, he made the university of San Diego a powerhouse. He’s kinda annoying but he loves and is great at coaching football. -

Do you realize how hard it is to be an nfl cb???? He can’t stay healthy. It’s a shame. -

Haha, it’s almost like Lamar is actually a good qb. And this is against the defense that gives up the fewest points in the nfl. needs to prove it in the playoffs, but as much as some like to discredit him, he’s awesome. -

Oh I agree it’s a huge topic people love to debate. but it’s an individual award and they rarely win the SB the year they win the award. I’d rather Allen win the SB MVP award.
-
I’ll be honest: i think it’s weird that people care so much about another man winning an award. im also am very salty because I couldn’t bet on Allen to win the MVP in my state. 😞

Giants are releasing QB Daniel Jones (future backup to Josh Allen)

Tim Boyle went 4-15 and had 12 tds and 26 ints in college!!!! He must have seen Roger Goddell do something really bad. It’s absolutely insane is making money playing qb. I’m so jealous. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Boyle_(American_football) -

I was really young for that time so I’ll defer to you. But I would say based on numbers, he was asked to do more than Jones. Jones was a glorified game manger whose best ability might be running. But is he ever really elevating a team? Such a bad contract. -
Eh, not scared of them either way. It’s their year from hell and they aren’t good. Much less in a cold game in Buffalo. That’s why schedule rankings before the season are so dumb. Our schedule looked so tough but it’s pretty meh. for the 49ers, they are in a tough spot. I certainly think Purdy is solid. But without a ton of talent around him, and theirs is getting old, is he really elevating your franchise? I don’t think so.

Stat wise, George had the far better career. He was having better passing seasons in the 90s than Jones is having today where it’s never been easier to put up bigger passing numbers. https://stathead.com/football/versus-finder.cgi?player_id2=JoneDa05&player_id1=GeorJe00&request=1&utm_source=pfr&utm_medium=sr_xsite&utm_id=GeorJe00&utm_campaign=2023_01_wdgt_player_comparison Jones is a really bad passing qb. EJ got like 10 games and had a better start to his career than Jones while having Nate Hackett as 1st time nfl OC and his qb coach!!! He got benched in his 2nd year at 2-2 with 5 tds and 3 ints. more qbs are ruined than developed in the nfl. So I get not moving on too quick. But imagine if you’re Saquon struggling to get $10 million while taking handoffs from Jones making $40. -

I guess the best way to put it is not using rookie contracts, who’s the least accomplished qb to receive a receive a sizable 2nd contract (using the money of their era)? I think Jones is in the discussion. In an era where every qb is like 80s Dan Marino, Jones was putting up 70s passing stats. -

Well, I think yours is also a very bad take (it doesn’t mean you don’t like the bills if you don’t think everything they do isn’t perfect). Blocking TEs (more athletic Lee Smiths are all over the place in the NFL) who can catch 18 passes/ year are a dime/ dozen. Great guy, bad contract. Agree to disagree. -

He was a legit top 5 qb in the nfl before massage envy and Cleveland. jones has maybe been a 15-20 ish qb once in his career.
