Andy Dalton has multiple 4,000 yard seasons. Dalton >>> Jackson obviously!

I mean it seems like there is some double standards here. If he was laughing and smiling, he doesn’t care. If he cries, he is soft. I don’t think you should cry unless it’s a major game. But would I make fun of Allen for crying? Of course not. I like players who care. Because real men show no emotion when their friend suffers a major injury!!! You know Allen and Burrow told the coaches after the Hamlin thing they didn’t want to play right? Stroud has regressed this year but that’s a dumb reason to criticize him. I agree. And he wasn’t the same guy but Diggs injury was big. The. Collins got hurt. Now Dell. big regression and disappointing year. I can see him rebounding next year though. But Houston is as disappointing of a playoff team as there is.

Fun fact, Manning had 3 playoff stats with 1 tds, and 2 ints. In his last start before turning 27, he threw for 137 yards with 0 tds and 2 ints. Lamar is 27. Peyton was thought of chocked until he won that SB. He never beat Florida or won anything of note in college either. point is, narratives change quickly. It’s not crazy to think Lamar wins the SB and it’s like of course the greatest dual threat wins a SB. Same thing with Allen. It’s silly to sum up their careers at this point. I love Allen and Lamar because they do it their own way and had a lot of hate when they first came in. Difference between Newton and Jackson is Jackson keeps getting better as passer. and I’m not going to win this against a guy with your user name but Kelly sucked in the playoffs. 21 tds to 28 ints. Why didn’t they run Thurman a million times against 2 man d line in SB 25? https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/K/KellJi00.htm kelly was very good but he was boosted by an all time great team. Put Marino or Elway on the Bills, they have multiple SBs. I’m going to bills hell but it’s the truth.

I mean this is the reason he gets traded so much. He is the guy capable of 200 yard games and doing nothing the next game. he still is a major threat that defenses have to key on and if opens things up for other guys. Diggs did that as well but he wasn’t happy doing that. Cooper barely speaks so it seems like it is fine and that is a big key to the offenses success

What Happened to Terrel Bernard?
C.Biscuit97 replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Great point. Also, I think fans think players are robots. It’s like when Tre White came back from major legs injuries, why can’t he cover WRs running a 4.3 the same way??? The same with Milano. Imagine you get a major injury and trying to come back from it to do the elliptical or treadmill. Now try playing in the nfl. also, my only fear with Bernard and Milano (absolute ballers) is OCs are doing what I would do against them. Attack them and force them into taking on blocks and contact. Obviously I know Lamar’s playoff resume, but Henry is scary to think about. -
Well using your trend logic, Houston’s offense has been trending the wrong way. And the Ravens defense gave uo the most points the Raiders have all season and the second most the Browns scored all year? what would the MVP conversation be if Ravens didn’t have the two most unbelievable losses in the whole season? spoiler alert, it would be the same because LAmar is not going to win it again until he wins a SB. Lamar is 27. Manning didn’t win his first SB until 30. Kelly had more ints than tds in the postseason and went to 4 SBs. if Lamar wins a SB, he goes into the conversation for all time qbs. Same with Allen. Both are very young and a ton can change even in a few months. If you don’t think Lamar is a top 5 qb, you’re just being a hater at this point.
-
See I think it should have been Lamar’s CMC, or a defensive players. The Ravens were a historically good regular season, who blew out good teams, and didn’t stat pad in second halves. it’s why I though Allen would win it with “worse” stats. The no Diggs narrative was going to be huge. Mahomes and Jackson were going to be a long shots because they have multiple ones. Only major candidate would have been Burrow, who is playing Qb as well as anyone but I guess it’s his fault his defense sucks I guess. MVPs debates are so dumb but they are engaging. 😂 bills fans care more about this than Allen does.
-
If you take out our defense’s worst 3 games, we give up 17.5 points/ game. Kinda silly to do that though.
-
Fun fact, James Cook had more total yards than Henry last year. I’m not going to say Cook is better than Henry but Henry was looked at as a declining rb who was turning 30. Lamar helped him as much as he helped Lamar. It is a perfect marriage. Just like Cook is a very good rb for us (and they still don’t give him enough touches!).
-
Thank you for a rational take. However win Lamar won his 2 MVP last year (which was warranted because his team murdered the regular season and he didn’t stat pad), he isn’t going to win this year. Even with better numbers and if somehow they got the number 2 seed. it makes for good debate but MVP is about story line. Lamar isn’t getting 3 without winning a SB. And also the regular season MVP rarely wins the SB, so I don’t know why we care so much anyways.
-
Yet, they happen with Mahomes. Weird how guys like Mahomes and Brady always get lucky. put it this way, if Allen and the Bills are coming off their 3rd straight SB and looking to win 3 straight and are 14-1, I won’t have a care in the world. Straight cruise control.

Huntley was 3-6 as a Ravens starter. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HuntTy01.htm Matt Barkley had by far the best game of his career in a spot start for Allen. Does that mean he would be ok starting for a bunch of games? It’s insane. Also, and again Allenis the MVP, why are we pretending like an offense with a top 5 o line, Cook (top 5 rb), Cooper, Shakir, Kincaid (hurt a lot this year) is garbage? this is exactly why the MVP conversation is dumb. You have to put down other great players and their value and/ or your candidate’s teammates. Allen should be the MVP, especially because of the narrative (which is a huge part). But actually like Jackson isn’t a top 5 qb who takes the Ravens to a different level or the Bills are like the Pats talent wise is silly.
-
BS. How many qbs have a 14-1 record missing their top 2 WRs, top rb, and their OT situation? Their defense is vastly improved but very few qbs are functioning in that offense. It’s been a garbage group most of the year. Like last year. And yet, Mahomes just keeps winning. Mahomes is in the Brady winning every year stage. Join with garbage around you and coast through the regular season. Stats don’t matter anymore. Just winning.

Those titans teams had AJ Brown and good defense. This ravens D has been bad most of the year. Henry was also though to be on the downside of his career before he went to Baltimore where Gus Edwards had 800 rushing yards and 13 tds the year before. you really think there won’t be a major drop off from Jackson to Josh Johnson? Jackson has a lot to prove in the playoffs but this board hates to give him credit for how much of a game changer he is. He’s a top 5 qb and if any team loses a top 5 qb, it would be a major lose. And considering the Ravens win more than 70% of his starts and have a losing record when he doesn’t, it has been proven out.
-
Allen’s going to win the MVP but don’t make up BS hypotheticals. Jackson’s record is 68-24 and the Ravens record is 6-10 in non Lamar starts. I know this is impossible here but you don’t have to put down Lamar (who has gotten better every year) to prop up Josh (who has also gotten better every year). They are both awesome in their own rights.

Diontae Johnson to the Ravens (now claimed by Houston)

Dude is an all time idiot and I wouldn’t want him anywhere near my team. He’s acting like he’s Chase or something. -
First it was the Atlanta Falcons, now the Phoenix Suns

I love the Ralph. But walking through slushy corridors when it’s 20 degrees and having to pay $15 for a beer or $10 for a slice of pizza is robbery. It’s gross and awful what they do to people. -
Saturday Football Thread: PIT@BAL & HOU@KC (no Bills stuff please)

Watching football with the boys and going to try to sell them on putting it on one of the screens. Wish me luck -
Who has been the 2nd best Bill this season?
C.Biscuit97 replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
People who hate on Cook are mouth breathers. Dude has been a producer since day one. If anything, the Bills stop him because they don’t give him enough touches (I get it though). He’s been awesome. I gave consideration to Dawkins because he’s been amazing as well at a more important position. He always looks like he’s in a terrible shape but he’s been great. Shakir is also a baller. -
Penix officially replaces Kirk Cousins in ATL
C.Biscuit97 replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
I get your point but considering what we went through before Allen, I don’t fault any team for trying every option they can to find a qb. Cousins, at worst, is a good guy for a young guy to learn from. Penix isn’t making anything for qbs yet. It’s weird how qb is the most important Position in sports but some folks act like the Falcons did witchcraft. There will always be WRs and other players to put around the qb. penix is a very pure passer. His injuries terrify me but odds are he’s better than this version of Cousins. So they shouldn’t have tried anything? -
It’s all about roles though. If Hollins is a supposed to be a top 3 wr, that’s not ideal. But when we got Cooper, it drops everyone down and Hollins as a 4th wr/ red zone/ STer is one of the best in the league at that role.

This is the stuff I don’t get. Why is it a thing between Josh and Lamar? They both are great in their own right. Josh was doubted a ton (hand up). Well, Lamar was told to switch positions after winning a Heisman trophy. They both are awesome. Allen should win but Lamar is having an awesome year in his own right.
-
Cowherd said the same thing about Mahomes like 2 months ago. I agree with him on Allen but he is a joke. It’s wild that he makes so much money off being terrible. I’m jealous.
-
But this is why the mvp is kinda a bs award in the first place. I argued Lamar deserved it last year because they killed teams so he didn’t have to stat pad. They also gave Gus Edwards like 15 one yard td runs. It’s why I said Allen would win MVP this year even if he had worse numbers because he would get more credit because they didn’t have Diggs anymore. the Ravens defense is kinda bad this year. The Bengals have a terrible defense. It’s not Burrow’s fault they are losing and he’s playing qb as well as anyone. I know it makes for good discussion and Bills fans really want Allen to get it (and he will). But it’s a pretty subjective award.
