  1. If the big 6 are gone (as expected), and cutler is sitting there, I expect us to move the pick. If cutler is also gone, It will be harder to move the pick, and I think we stand pat and take either Ngata, Bunkley, Huff or Davis. The key to trading down is Cutler (or yonug) staying off the board until we pick. Tennessee taking Young will really wrinkle this draft.
  2. 31...i think) Why does Mike Tyson cry during sex? A: Mace will do that to you.
  3. Just voted (for huff). 29.9 VD 21.3 Huff Only 10.2% Bunkley
  4. Dont you all understand. THIS IS WHY WE TRADED UP FOR LOSMAN. TD knew he had to spend a 1st round pick on a QB in 2004 or 2005. In 2004 he looked, saw losman and in 2005 he saw aaron rogers and alex smith (and possibly andrew walter who was highly rated for a while). He obviously thought (and from what I have seen thus far, he was correct) that losman was the best of the bunch and thus needed to trade up and take him in 2004. For all TDs faults, this IS NOT ONE OF THEM. Edit: He also liked roth, tried to trade up and couldnt.
  5. Norfolk Va? There will be a big open lot where the Ford plant currently is....
  6. The vikes have pick 17. Thats kinda low. It might be good enough to pick up the vikes 1st rounder next year, which could be a steal. At any rate...this would move us down to #17. This is where things start getting tough for us. Gone: Bush, Leinert, Cutler, Young, DBrick, Huff, Hawk, Mario. Probably also gone: Greenway, Ngata, Bunkley, Justice And thats only 12, so its reasonable to assume Chad Jackson, Jimmie Williams, maybe Ernie Simms, Wimbley all gone. Maybe one of them falls to us..but if not...ouch. Maybe take a corner? Whitner? I dont know...its a bit farther than I want to fall I think.
  7. Riiiiiiight. Favre, Cullpepper and Harrington...HA!
  8. Holy cow..good call on Kowalczyk. Tell the this inst chris! http://www.magieheim.at/keltica/me/cyberli...lczyk(LiVE).jpg
  9. Bah...I'd post it but you might get dumb. There isnt anything on that article that you dont already know. Unless you have been tucked away in a cave somewhere. Lets see... -3QBs fighting it out -EM is gone -PP is back -Bowen good at ST -Draft is coming up -NC is a holdout Yeah..thats about it
  10. I just re-watched the first quarter of Buffalo/NE from this past December(?). A couple comments. 1) As of this game, the bills were +40 in the first quarter, which led the league. 2) JP Losman had a nice bomb to Lee Evans. (Note: this is the game moulds was suspended). Evans was double teamed and ran past them. 3) JP seemed to make good decisions with the football (Most of the time). He knew where he was on the field all the time and was constantly throwing from the run. 4) JP had NOOO time (but we all knew this). 5) JP was jittery. Constantly running aronud, couldnt stand still etc. It was interesting watching a game I already knew the outcome, but watching it specifically for individual performances. I really think JP will be okay. He needs to take a deep breath, calm down just a tad and just relax. He has shown good skills, and (reasonably) good decision making, but he needs to stop rushing all the time. That said an upgraded OL (Are you listening Marv?) goes a long way, but I didnt need to see the game to tell me that. I also think point #1 above is very very telling. How can we lead the league in first quarter point differential and wind up 5-11? I submit 2 options. 1) We were under conditioned and got very tired late in the game. and 2) We stuck our tails between our legs, went very conservative and beat ourselves alot. Its probably a combination of both. Hopefully our new Strength and conditioning coach knows what he is doing (i assume we have a new one anyway...), and letting Mularkey go does alot of for the play calling. So, in retrospect, I think we will be okay. I have been thinking we are going for the #1 pick this year, and maybe if I take off my hot sauce stained glasses I would see it, but give JP some time and confidence and even without EM, I think he can succeed...BUT HE NEEDS AN OL. Oh, and Willis man...what an ugly quarter. Guy couldnt see a hole if it was right in front of him. Granted the OL sucked (per usual), but he needs to cut outside if its not there. So many times in the quarter (too many because losman was pretty good), he tried to run into a non-existant hole when cutting outside would have gained 5-7 yards. I dont know how to correct this problem, other than a new OL to give him holes, but he needs to see this stuff or he is in trouble. And one more thing...King was all over the field. Good quarter by him
  11. IMO there are 8 players I wouldnt mind selecting with the #8 pick. Convienent! Bush, Leinert, Young, Huff, Davis, Mario, D-Brick, Hawk. Now, I wouldnt be thrilled with Young or Leinert (or really Davis)...but I would take it in stride. Im not thrilled with Ngata or Bunkley, especially this high. See if you cant trade down with someone looking to leapfrog Detroit and Arizona for Young or cutler. I think the demand will be high. If we move into the 10-15 range, we can likely get Ngata or Bunkley there. If not, Chad Jackson, Winston Justice or Chad Greenway are good Options. If we need to move down below 15, we likely pick up another 1st rounder next season, plus can grab a good CB or possibly someone who falls. None of these options sound terrible to me. I dont like what the options look like late in the first. But if it means getting another first next year, it might be worth it.
  12. Who has performed thus far? Ace, Kellie, Chris and Bucky?
  13. ...someone has too much free time.. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5491712 Ace Young: Constant dopey glares to the camera Knock is that he's "all flash, no substance" Has what seems to be an incredibly fake name NFL equivalent: J.P. Losman, Buffalo Bills But my favorite: # Kevin Corvais: Student of the game # Not exactly the most charismatic guy # Frail # Looks like the kid who plays "Magic: the Gathering" at the high school lunch table NFL equivalent: Chad Pennington, New York Jets
  14. http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/spor...4609588,00.html This fool is advocating the Broncos trade both their 1st round picks, plus Plummer to Green Bay for Favre and the #5. 1st off, im not sure it will take MORE than 2 first round picks. 2ndly, what indication do we have favre even wants to play this season, let alone for denver. 3rd, Why is Plummer so disliked.
  15. PP has a clause in his contract which pays bonuses if he becomes the #1 WR. How does this get determined? # of catches? Which DB he lines up against? This confuses me. Because as much as LE is our best WR, it wouldnt suprise me if PP (or someone else) gets more receptions. Its an odd clause. Oh, and Clumpy if you see this, would a clause like this one be considered LTBE? Very bizzare.
  16. By last count I am still about 5,000 useless posts behind you. It goes to the respect factor. It goes to professionalism. It shows a desire to listen and improve. I cant say JP isnt showing respect or being professional, but with Favre, this surely wouldnt even be a question.
  17. IF...I'll say it again...IF...Brett Farve decides to play one more season for another team, I would have to think Buffalo would be a good location. Maybe not so much for him, but for us. He might be the ONE guy losman can listen from and call Mr. Farve instead of Dude. One year behind Favre might do wonders for him. Farve might consider it. Similar weather. Similar Towns. Fan base would love him. But he wont play for a team other than Green Bay. He just wont.
  18. i KNEW i heard that before... Family guy tends to do this often. I wonder if they compensate these guys at all

  20. I call shenanigns. If such an event were to occur, it is physically impossible for Ricky Williams to not be there.
  21. Ugh...here we go again...Sometimes the threat of using nuclear weapons is more powerful than actually using them. You cant take this option off the table (at least publicly). I am sick of people bashing bush for EVERYTHING he does. And I am sick of people supporting bush for everything he does. All I ask is that you use common sense...I know its tough..but you CAN do it.
  22. This is so worthless. I am POSITIVE the same analysis on ryan leaf would project similarly to leinert. Likewise I am POSITIVE the same analysis on tom brady would project to be the next brock huard. You cant believe this nonsense.
  23. He held a press conference to say he is still undecided! I cant belive this...
