It certainly sounds like he was disliked in O-Town. This does not bode well. However... Good O-Lines are often made, not by the talent of the players, but by the synergy created when they are all working together. Perhaps a move to buffalo, and leaving the other 4 guys is what he needs. Coaching is extremely important. McNally (supposedly) is one of the best. I think we have a chance to see him succeed here, and I hope he does...but what the raiders fans are saying scares me.

They did? Spikes, Vincent, Milloy, Crowell & McCargo all missed time the last 2 years. And thats just the defense. Fletcher is one of the few guys who has stayed healthy. I'm not one who is big on resigning fletcher. Its better to let a guy go a year too early than a year too late, but come on guys, you cant doubt that fletcher has been a stud and has a few more good years left in him. If he doesnt break the bank, you have to get it done.

You guys are funny. Marv & Co. have a "to do" list. There are a whole lot of items on that list. Some of them have deadlines. The deadline for slapping a tender on someone turns out to be thursday. You have to think thats pretty close to top priority right now, along with making competitive offers to our own guys before FA starts. Anderson, meh. I dont particularly like him either, but there is NO REASON not to put a tender on the guy. Nothing to see here. No harm in doing it. I'd be more upset if we DIDNT tender him. The thought is this: Willis performs best when he is motivated. No better motivation than a contract year. Let him have a great season, tag him, then trade him when he has some value (or at least more than he has now). Potential upside: First Round pick. Potential Downside: Willis has a bad year and we do not get a 4th round pick.

Yeah, he has had some problems with injuries in the past, drops a few too many passes, but he is still a VERY good reciever. Trading for him, we are off the hook for his signing bonus, and all we owe him is the 12M over 3 years. Not a bad option at all....

I agree 100%. And considering Edgarrin James and Shawn Alexander couldnt bring in a 2nd round pick last season, I doubt we could get one for Willis. Keep him, let him prove he deserves $$$$$. Tag him. Trade him for a 2nd rounder next year (if you can).
