  1. I recall watching an athletic skills competition on NFLN last summer. Moorman competed against other NFL guys (like Chad Johnson, Dwight Freeney, I cant remember the guys, but they were all freaks of nature). Anyway, in the obstacle course, Moorman knew he wasnt strong enough to push the sled, so he just sprinted by it and took the mandated penalty, and won the competition. However, they decided to change the rules on the spot and he was disqualified for not completing all events. But it goes to show the kind of athlete he is. It was amazing.
  2. Perhaps the correct answer here is that ALL DBs, regardless of how good you are, get beat, and somewhat regularly.
  3. Yeah, i kept replaying that tryin to figure out what else parcells said in that moment. Coulndt make out all of it, but there was also something about "you do that again and.....?" and "you hear me?" Course, i couldnt make out the best part...
  4. Yeah, with a stretch, he might not have scored, but picking up the first down was a reasonable goal (and would have had about the same result as a TD). Romo blew this game good. I bet Drew is smiling right now
  5. a) Edgarrin James and Shawn Alexander couldnt fetch a 2nd round pick. Neither will Willis. b) Willis is crazy to hold out. He had a miserable season, and would not be negotiating from a position of strength. c) With Fred Taylor, Ahman Green and Warrick Dunn all potentially available this offseason, any indication willis intends to play hardball should be followed shortly thereafter with a public phone call to all 3 of their agents.
  6. Josh Reed came out of LSU But as someone else said, he is looking like a first rounder right now. Its too early to project quite yet ...but I dont see him falling to us in the 2nd round at this point.
  7. Will probably be gone well before we pick, but the more of these guys that come out, the better the selection will be at #12
  8. I remember reading a study somewhere (probably goverment funded,....) regarding the toilet seat issue. The conclusion was that, to minimize the amount of times both sexes need to "touch" the toilet seat the best policy was to leave the toilet seat in the position it was in when you used it. If you put it up, leave it up. If you put it down, leave it down. Seemed to make sense...
  9. Not a math major (though I am an engineer), but it seems to me that any team who beats out 18 other teams to make the playoffs has SOME chance to win it all....now the bills on the other hand...THEY have a zero chance at making the bowl.
  10. eh, its business. And I have a feeling he wasnt fired by his uncle. Chances are he was fired by the owner. Or it was a "fire him or you're fired" situation. Look at it this way. a) you fire him and keep your job b) you dont fire him, and you both get fired by the owner. I think all will understand
  11. My favorite part is when the guy is hanging off the basketball rim with a box on
  12. Also not a big fan, usually. but my big fat obnoxious fiance was HILLARIOUS
  13. I think Bates is a very interesting name for that job....and he scares me
  14. Get used to it. This is a case of people making mock drafts without watching the team play. Outside buffalo, and the buffalo fan base is still the perception that Losman is a bum, and is not a NFL quarterback. We know thats not true (or if it is, that it is too early to know). But its one good way to tell whether a mock draft is a good one.
  15. Marv will probably be ready to step aside then too... 2 for the price of 1. GIT R DONE Ralph! BTW, I like Juron and hope the team does well under him....i'm just sayin'
  16. Not ready to extend Losman yet. Perhaps after next season. But Evans is ready for an extension.
  17. Yeah, I think he is a very good coach. Miami's loss is our gain. If they promote mularkey, even better. Cant see that happening though!
  18. On the flip side, If the next year or two doesnt go as well as planned...Buffalo may be a landing spot for cower in 2008.
  19. And my point is that it is rare that random acts of violence, such as this one, occur in a good section of town. You put yourself in a bad situation often enough, bad things will happen. BTW, for those interested, his myspace page is here http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...45-8f9a91f6be96
  20. its late, and i concede that it is not a great example. But the truth is that there needs to be a playoff system. All these other games are meaningless to me.
  21. If the NFL had the same rules as college football: The season would end as it did yesterday. San Diego would play Chicago in the Superbowl in March. Baltimore would play New Orleans Philly would play New England Indianapolis would play Seattle Dallas would play the Jets Kansas City would play the Giants There would be a whole mess of 9-7 teams and 8-8 teams playing each other on some neutral site. And the season would end..... Thrilling.
  22. Yeah, he's right...after George mason knocked off Michigan State I would have been happy if their season just ended there. I'm sure those kids are very upset they ended their season with a loss and will never be proud of the season.
