  1. Forgot about shelton. But I cant imagine he will get a deal worthy of being a player qualified for comp picks...
  2. When you are the quarterback for the new york giants!
  3. Well, i think what you are seeing, at least thus far in the election season (if you can call it that), is that people are looking for a leader. We are sick of having presidents who are not leaders. On the republican side, both Rudi and McCain fit that bill nicely. I dont agree with Rudi on alot of issues, but I respect him and trust him, I have seen him in times of crisis, I have seen what he did with new york, and he passed these tests with flying colors. Sure I would rather have someone with the political positions of Ron Paul, but when it boils down to it, I think Rudi is the better man to lead this country NOW. We are in a world of hurt, and issues that once seemed significant (gun control, abortion, etc) are insignificant in the overall scheme of things.
  4. Nobody mentions Paris Hilton?
  5. I particularly like how the OP suggested we would trade up to number two, then trade down. This would imply that we could get better value for that pick than detroit would off the bat. Very odd rumor here...
  6. 1. Rudi 2. Rudi 3. Gingrich 4. Ron Paul 5. McCain 6. Romney 7. Thompson (could move up) 8. Kusinich (for entertainment value) 9. Hitler 10. Hillary
  7. Lost: Fletcher and Clements Gained: Dockery and Langston I dont think Gandy or Whittle will qualify. could be wrong. You cant tell me that we wont sign another FA. It wont be another blockbuster deal, but signing an average role guy will push us over the top.
  8. While the formula for determining how comp picks are awarded is secret, there has NEVER been a case of a comp pick being awarded to a team who gained more qualified players (in number) in free agency than they lost. To state otherwise is just plain ignorance on the issue of compensatory picks.
  9. Nope. None next year either. Not with the signing of dockery and walker.
  10. Only one problem...he isnt a quality coach.
  11. And here I was thinking it was Texas A&M Community College...
  12. Actually, probably not a bad spot. The guy can draw up crazy plays with the best of them. He just cant call a good game. This way, he is still on the roster contributing, but he has no power. Good move for miami IMO.
  13. I have been interested in this info for a while. What I would really like to see is a listing of all players interviewed at the combine, and by what teams.
  14. My old standby... Never argue with an idiot. Because, to the outsider, its hard to tell which one is which.
  15. no way...players are risking their career every single play. There are one concussion or achillies away from bagging groceries to feed their families (and im not kidding). They need to have the financial security of a long-term contract. In fact, I take the opposite approach, make all contracts guaranteed.
  16. The opponents are actually out....just need to wait for the dates to be announced.
  17. As long as year 8 is worth 70M, im okay with that!
  18. Eh....I dont know what they want for him, but im guessing its too much. They are probably looking for WM/TJ type of a trade. I'd give up a 4th rounder for him, and possibly next years 3rd rounder, but thats about it. Unless we get turner for our #2, I'd rather just adress this issue in the draft
  19. Best available DT, LB or CB....with consideration for Lynch/Peterson.
  20. 6 years 47.5M is what i'm hearing
  21. Yep. Until I hear it from a cabbie....I aint believin it.
  22. Yeah, its sad...but this place has history. Inside jokes, former posters, notorious members, and like childhood, learning about crayons is a right of passage. In the coming days and weeks ahead you will learn that belinda, rozen and stevestojan are not just names, but other grammatical terms I do not know. Welcome to the wall.
