  2. Only one problem. You will have been with a guy...and although it may sound like what you'd want...the next day you would be a guy again, and know you slept with a dude the other day.
  3. No way we take him in the 5th round. He isnt worth trading up for
  4. He also said "also high on the list....micheal jackson...." Umm...Micheal Jackson WASNT ON THE LIST
  5. Only one un-truth New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet.
  6. well...nobody saw him at the airport...he must not be ehre
  7. Gee...GMs losing money? How is that possible?
  8. One problem..it seems like if GB was hell bent on getting Lynch they will trade up BEFORE our pick....not wait for us to pick
  9. Looks good....but i'd feel alot more confident if half those clips werent him playing against the bills!
  10. Awesome!
  11. I think we are fairly thin at safety, especially if Wire is playing LB. Simpson and Whitner look to be really good, but we still need depth
  12. Olindo Mare > Kelly Holcomb
  13. And restructuring will only bring future payments into the present. Not going to happen.
  14. Bingo. Me too. Either way though, Peters and Dockery on the left side will help JP immensely.
  15. 1) Hargrove was tendered as an RFA. 2) Right now, we are preparing for the draft, and looking at the FA pool. Little effort (i would think) is going into extending or reworking the deals of guys currently under contract. 3) Salary cap is not a concern for the bills (at least so they say). They are well under the cap and do not need additional cap space. What they need is more dollars. Reworking does little good in the cash-to-cap philosophy unless you have extra dollars to allocate in the current year and want to spend them so that next year you dont have to spend so many. I dont see this as the case this year.
  16. I love the umpire who signals for his ejection after almost being hit by the pitch
  17. Not sure than we can get more numbers than we got against cullpepper....
  18. Oh, i love ignorance. The FIRST CRITERIA on getting ANY comp picks is this: Did you lose more players than you gained? The SECOND CRITERIA is What is the value difference between what you lost and what you gained. Without #1 there ARE NO COMP PICKS (except for a possible 7th if the value difference is very large) So the KEY to us getting comp picks next year is to lose more players than we signed. I dont think Wittle will qualify as a player gained. IF gandy qualifies as a player lost, we now have lost 3 players and gained 2...thus allowing us to recieve a pick higer than the possible 7th rounder. The actual salaries do matter...but ONLY if you lose more than you gain (in raw numbers). Them's the facts. Of course if we sign another qualified FA, it doesnt matter. But there arent too many left out there.
  19. this thread isnt official looking enough
  20. Its like the franchise tag. If you sign a franchise tag guy and the team chooses not to match, you give up 2 first ronud picks. This doesnt happen and the player just gets traded for whatever. Same here. We can sign turner, SD can not match, and we owe them a first and a 3rd. However, if they will trade him to us for a 2nd round pick...thats perfectly legal. So the MOST we can give up is a first and a 3rd.
  21. No. Neither are Cuts. Only players lost and gained in Free Agency. (Not sure how RFAs are handled)
  22. The question is going to be whether or not Whittle qualifies as a player gained and whether Gandy qualifies as a player lost. If Gandys contract is in the 3 years 15M range (which i think is nutz), and whittle does not qualify, its possible we get a 4th or 5th rounder. Of course, if we sign Chris Brown or another meaningful FA, its all for naught.
  23. You clearly do not understand how comp picks work....
  24. Interested to see the numbers. Could give us a comp pick next year...
  25. Analogy is a bit flawed. If he paid $100,000 for a car that was worth $25,000 at the time, but in 5 years that car was a relic, worth $500,000, he got a great deal. Perhaps he could have saved 75k, but its still a good deal. Thats why you have to take into account how well he performs before deciding HOW bad a deal this is.
