  1. Hmm...maybe not...but purdue and ODU in is starting to make me scared WRT syracuse.
  2. Would I want him? Sure, I dont see why not...he runs hard, and when he is committed to the game, he is one of the best. Would Marv want him? not a chance. So the point is moot
  3. ODU is also going to get snubbed. Just hope Syracuse makes it....
  4. Ugh, cant they replay the 31-0 game once in a while?
  5. Yeah, I think moorman is faster than roscoe and lee! I wouldnt mind him coming here..but I dont see the big need, AND 1) he doesnt seem anxious to make any more trips. 2) He wants to go to a playoff contender...and as much as we like to think we are, thats gotta be a tough sell, and 3) he wants a warm weather team. So...this isnt sounding like a good fit.
  6. Willis Is A Major Pu_ _y The 'U' Called, they want their Idiots back (With faces of McGahee and RayRay...Reed too if you want, but I kinda like him...) Willis, if you can read this, I hate you. What you mumblin' willis? ...I got nothin...
  7. 20 TBD bucks says the bengals sign him when he is cut.
  8. I think I might have been...prove me wrong
  9. UGH. THIS IS NOT WHAT MARV IS TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Marv is looking for "football character". He wants guys who are leaders, who are reliable, who show up and work hard and want to win and be in Buffalo. I know many people who have kids out of wedlock who are VERY good people. Marv doesnt care about that. You think Tom Brady is a "bad character guy"?? Come on. If he were an (affordable) Free Agent, you bet your a$$ marv would invite him in for an interview. He also doesnt want guys into illegal activity (i.e. guns, drugs, etc.), but a child out of wedlock, unproveable claims of spousal abuse, even a DWI are not issues with Marv.
  10. Hmm...who said this first??? http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=61038
  11. Correct me if I am wrong. Free Agents lost last year: 1) Trey Teague (NYJ) 2) Ron Edwards (KC) 3) Justin Bannan (BAL) FA Gained last year 1) Robert Royal 2) Larry Tripplett 3) Andre Davis 4) Matt Bowen 5) Craig Nall 6) Melvin Fowler 7) Peerless Price 8) Kiewalkee Thomas If that is true...dont expect ANY comp picks for the 2007 draft... As far as the 2008 draft goes.... Players Lost (Thus Far) 1) Fletcher 2) Clements Players Signed 1) Dockery 2) Walker 3) Wittle Don't expect any comp picks for next season either. What is whittle's salary? If he is close to vet. minimum, AND Gandy signs a respectible contract (i.e. somewhere around 1M/season), we might be able to get a 7th round comp pick next year. The overriding factor for determining comp picks is the NUMBER of FAs signed and lost, not the QUALITY of those FAs.
  12. 1) Give the 3rd rounder to Tennessee for Starks (Pending a reasonable contract) 2) Re-Sign Anthony Thomas 3) Send our 2nd round pick to San Diego for Turner (Pending a reasonable contract) 4) Draft Willis #12 5) Resign Kiwalkee Thoma 6) Sign Nick Harper, CB JimBob...done.
  13. Marv has been GM here for 10 years? Wow, time flies...
  14. In all honesty, drafting Calvin Johnson would basically be commiting to the fact that we cant/wont resign lee evans in a couple years if CJ pans out. While it would be awsome to have them both for a couple years, im not so sure this is a good long term plan. If he falls to 12, sure (HA!)....but dont trade up for him, thats nonsense.
  15. First you ask why they would pass on him, then you give reasons they would. Hmm.... I dont get your ways... But the browns are picking 3rd for a reason. They have holes. ALOT of holes. Well, really, not enough holes. They need someone on the OL, Joe Thomas could be that guy. They need a QB, brady quinn could be that guy. They could use a WR, and who better than Calvin Johnson. They already have Jamal lewis. Those are 4 good reasons WHY they might not take peterson. I've been down this road before. Houston, Detroit and Cleveland are the ONLY 3 teams above us that need a RB. So for peterson to go he needs to slip by those 3. First 2 are fairly easy to see how it could happen. Houston is the problem. But like you said, they just signed Green...so who knows. Sure, someone could trade up, but by the same logic, who? Green Bay could trade up to get AP, but why would they do that if they are virtualy guarenteed to get Lynch if Peterson falls to Buffalo (Rams, Panthers and steelers wont take him). Giants were (and are still) a possibility, but it will take alot to move up that far into the top 10, and with Jacobs/Droghns, it might not be worth it. Tennessee is the only other option...and truthfully, probably the most likely, though it will likely cost them a first round pick next season to move up into the top 10. Might be too steep a price for them to pay. I'm not saying AP will fall to 12. But I am saying its possible. Somewhere in the 30-40% chance range IMO.
  16. This is how I see it 1. Chris Brown 2. Either Bush or Hunt 3. Shaud Williams 4. FA Fullback 5. Rookie FB/RB (to be on practice squad) What I would Prefer 1. Marshawn Lynch 2. Anthony Thomas 3. Shaud Williams 4. FA Fullback 5. Rookie FB/RB (to be on practice squad)
  17. Browns just signed Jamal Lewis. Not the long-term solution, but it gives them options to take a Brady Quinn, Joe Thomas, even consider Calvin Johnson...I really dont think they go AP here. Though its possible. More likely home IMO is Houston. But those are really the ONLY two possibilites for him before Buffalo...
  18. I dont think GB moves up for Peterson, because they are sitting at #16. If they see peterson falling, they are in line for Lynch falling to them at #16. Jumping up to grab peterson is possible if they are not sold on lynch, but if they are somewhat close on their board, its probably not worth the jump. The Giants are a better possibility. But moving from #20 into the top 10 will likely take next years #1. Steep price to pay, but its the Giants, so who knows....
  19. Oh, give it up....you know how many running backs had more than 700 yards last season? We'll find someone, relax. Almost anybody who starts 16 games will run for 1,000 yards. Do the math, thats 63 yards per game. Relax. If we dont have a back come the draft, we will be in a position to take lynch (or maybe peterson) in the first, or Bush in the 2nd. We will not be going into next season with Fred Jackson and Shaud Williams...
  20. I know, I know...no chance you say...but hear me out here. 1 - Oakland - All reports say Jamarcus Russell. Quinn, and CJ are possibilities. 2 - Cleveland. Possible. But they just signed Jamal Lewis. Quinn is a possibility, as is Joe Thomas. 3 - Detroit - With Jones and Bell, doubtful they will take Peterson 4 - Tampa - Wont spend another top pick on a RB when they have Caddilac 5 - Arizona - Edge. 6 - Washington - Portis 7 - Minnesota - Too many needs, and upgrading the RB position isnt one of them. 8 - Houston - Very possible, but they just signed Green, also have Davis/Williams and Gado... 9 - Miami - Brown/Wililams 10-Atlanta - Dunn/Norwood 11 - San Fran - Gore 12- Buffalo So, really the only teams above us that look like they need a RB are Cleveland, Detroit and Houston. Its very probably that Cleveland and Detroit will take Quinn and Joe Thomas (if not Calvin Johnson), leaving Houston as the only other possibility. I find it hard to believe he will get by houston, but I could see houston taking Ginn Jr, Branch, or Quinn (if he falls...doubtful). Perhaps someone trades up for him, but I am always suprised by how few trades there are at the top of the draft board. Thoughts?
