  1. I stand corrected. He did NOT have us taking youboty.. He had youboty going 31 overall to Seattle here is the draft. Not sure how I made that mistake. http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/ins...&id=2405172
  2. I got tickets in section 130, off stubhub for 85 bucks. Course, I bought them the day the schedule came out. Now you cant touch them for less than about 115
  3. I guess a comp pick is out of the question?
  4. Where is the "none of the above" option?
  5. Yeah, i hit enter and couldnt figure out how to delete it until I was done!
  6. I did this quick, but here is the results I was able to get out of the 2006 draft. (Based on an early April 06 Kiper Mock) First Round Correct Picks (Team and Number) - 4 (D'Brick, Hawk, Davis, Mercedes Lewis) Of the 32 picks, Kiper correctly identified 26 of them (missed Carpenter, Hali, Joseph, Mangold, Addai and Kiwi) as being first round picks Second Round Correct Picks (Team and Number) - 0 Correct Team, but wrong Pick number - 2 (McIntosh, Justice) Of the 32 picks, Kiper correctly identified 15 of them as being 2nd round picks Third Round Correct Picks (Team and Number) - 0 Correct Team, but wrong Pick number - 3 (Winston, Youboty, Pope) Of the 33 picks, Kiper correctly identified 12 of them as being 3rd round picks Summary In the ENTIRE first 3 rounds, Kiper only identified FOUR correct picks (Team and Number). In the ENTIRE first 3 rounds, Kiper only correctly identified 9 of 97 picks to the correct team. Of the 97 players taken in the first 3 rounds, only 76 of them were in his 3 round mock draft. So, someone tell me why we should listen to this Goober?
  7. Even better...i wish this could be executed. But I always perfer silence. If they announced his name and the stadium was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. THAT would mess with a guy. I've seen it done in college hockey before..but its hard to execute.
  8. No one player makes a team. Willis fills a big need. Is he everything we need? of course not! But its one hole we will plug. Keep in mind that there are NO STARTERS (that I know of) who are UFAs after this season. In a 2 year plan, we need to find a RB, CB, LB, FB and make sure our OL and DL are up to snuff. Take the best guys you can NOW. Willis, if he is on the board, is that guy.
  9. This could mean Cullpepper goes to Oakland to reunite with Moss. CJ goes #1 overall, and mock drafters everywhere explode.
  10. IF someone could assure me that a top 5 pick in 2008 would get us to the 2009 superbowl, Great, let us finish 4-12. But the reality is that half of the top 5 picks will be busts. We run the risk of tieing up a ton of money on a Mike Williams, Robert Gallery, Charles Rodgers, etc. and we gave up a good year of development. I agree with your premise that we are really building for 2008 here, not 2007. But the way to do this is by winning NOW. This is a young group of guys who do not have the "buffalo losing attitiude". We need to win to build their confidence. Teach them to be winners. We can do this. There are no guarentees that come with a top 5 pick.
  11. Please stop with the backup crap. Walter Payton would be a backup if he was currently playing on the San Diego Roster. I am against giving up a first for Turner....UNLESS...we are hell bent on using that pick on Lynch. If we decide Lynch is the correct guy at 12, I would rather give the pick to SD for Turner.
  12. I might have some of my facts mixed up here, but I was listening to the Dan Patrick show yesterday and he brought up Keith Olbermann joining a pre-game show (i think on CBS). Keith didnt reject the claim, but kept saying "thanks for that dan, my agent isnt going to be happy" and the OJ "If i did it" line. It was quite apparent that it was going to happen and Dan let the cat out of the bag on national radio before the t's were crossed and the i's were dotted. Im sure nobody cares...But its better than looking at one more post about JP being a good DT.
  13. yeah, talk about it for months. I dont hear anyone in the media talking about how much a stretch whittner is now...
  14. While what you are saying is true...value based drafting is how you maximize your draft. Evidently people thought Tom Brady was a 6th round pick. Now, if you went into the draft knowing he was going to win 3 superbowls, obviously he is worth more than that. But if the Bears spent their first round pick on Tom Brady, Brian Urlacher wouldnt be in chi-town. The key is to take the guys you want, before everyone else. If everyone else thinks Tom Brady is worth a 7th round pick and you think he is worth a first round pick, you wait until the 6th round to take him. That way you get other players in lower rounds that other teams have ranked higher than Tom Brady, and still get your guy later on. BTW, i found this poll, which I find amusing http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/POLL/results/126711.html
  15. A football team starts 22 players, a punter and a kicker. If you average 3 starters every draft, and they stick around for 5 years (probably about average before the big payday), and can grab a late round punter and kicker, thats 17 of your 22 position players. Fill the other 5 slots in FA, and you are in good shape. But if you average only 2 starters, thats 12 of 22 position players, leaving you to have to spend BIG BUCKS to fill those 10 remaining holes The bills dont have BIG BUCKS. Even if they did, the salary cap would hurt. The key is really to draft at LEAST 3 quality starters ever year. So, while I am all for quality over quantity, we need to get our 3 quality starters out of this draft. And moving up to get AP or CJ is just not in the long-term interest of the team.
  16. 1. Adrian Peterson - Minnesota 2. Patrick Willis - Buffalo 3. Brady Quinn - Cleveland 4. Amobi Okoye - Washington 5.Ted Ginn, Jr - New England
  17. Nah, Buffalo - Waiting to see what happens with Peterson, or they can draft lynch, or RBBC with 2nd round back. Green Bay - Settling in on Lynch, who will likely be there when they pick. If not, Chris Brown, Cory Dillon or a 2nd round back would work. Tennessee - Has Chris Brown as a Backup Plan None of these 3 teams have the urgency right now. If you see Chris Brown or Cory Dillon sign with some other team, the urgency may increase...but for now, a wait and see approach is prudent. Also SD is in no hurry to move him either. I still say throw our 2nd rounder at them...and let it sit. No more, no less.
  18. You have a cat named doggie? Who is more confused, the cat or the kids? Sorry though. As much as I personally dislike cats, I know how much they, and other pets, mean to families. Best of luck.

  20. Um... trade a 3rd round pick for two 5ths? no thanks.
