  1. Don't worry, they have signs up in their stores that say things like: "I caught my wife in bed with 5 Guys" "I love the taste of 5 Guys in my mouth" Its part of the intrigue! And a WONDERFUL place. One bit of advice though...split the fries with a friend. DONT TRY to eat one serving of fries yourself!
  2. IMO spinoffs are unsuccessful because they are unbelievable. You cant just insert the same character into a completely different environment with none of his compadres and have it be believable. See Joey. Had the Joey spinoff had him stay in New York, brought along the "Friends" crew, and then slowly, one by one, had them move away and a new group of "Friends" come in...it would have worked.
  3. Yep. Good for him. While he is likely making a couple hundred grand a year right now, he has to realize he is not an elite player, and could be out of the NFL at any time. He isnt making enough to retire and sit on the beach. He needs to plan for all courses of his life. Congrats to him!
  4. No. The Vikings signed him. Sorry for the confusion
  5. Vikings- LB J Leman, Illionis (Will update post as i find them)
  6. How are the Hornets #3? Arent they struggling to get fans in the gate? Isnt there talk of them moving to OK City?
  7. Sounds good. I would sure like to have Kyle Brady on the Bills.
  8. Ugh, I hate this mentality with a passion. With the way NFL contracts work, YOU ARE NOT GUARENTEED your contract you sign. If you sign an 7 year 80M contract with a 10M signing bonus and 10M/year salary...after year 1 you can be cut and walk away with only 20M of your 80M contract. You say "STFU and Play". Why do we demand a player STFU and play, but not demand owners "STFU and PAY"? Did they also not sign the 7 year 80M contract? Since contracts are NOT guaranteed and the owners have the right to cancel the contract at ANY time...players feel (and I would opine rightfully so) that they have the right to better themselves and their family by raising hell (i.e. sit out) when they feel they can get more guaranteed money in their contracts. I'd do it if I was a player, and I wont criticize a REAL player for doing it. That said....changing topics.... I think Cincinnati is playing hard ball here. When on his game (and not pouting), CJ is one of the top 5 WRs in the game. Attitude aside, his talent is worth 2 first round picks. I think Cincinnati feels that by proving to him they WILL NOT trade him, they can convince him to show up and work hard and be "greatful" for what he has and where he is. Basically they are saying "A CJ on the field, and not causing problems, is worth more than the WAS offer". and this was their way of telling him to "STFU and Play"
  9. Wow. Talk about throwing draft boards out the window. If you are a team (i.e. Jets) who are looking at taking a RB in the first round or two, you need to seriously evaluate the benefit SA would provide you. VERY interesting
  10. Here is my take: The three most important games for us to win this year are the 3 close games where it comes down to the last 5 minutes of play. THOSE will be the biggest wins, regardless of the opponent.
  11. Please tell me...what team in the league is a non-contender?
  12. First Girl you made out with???? Why does this add to the story? Was there a boy you made out with first? I am confused
  13. Missing some key information here. 1) How long until you plan on retiring 2) How long do you plan on living in this home 3) Is your student loan interest tax-deductible (depends on income) Generally speaking, the larger your mortgage the better. Mortgage interest is tax deductible, thus your 5.8% interest is effectively much lower (~4%). If your student loan interest is deductible as well, your effective rates are also in the 4% range. In this case...stash the money elsewhere. You can get more than 4%.
  14. Because its hockey. Players are drafted early (18-19 years old ish...) they then get the option to go pro, or stay in the collegiate ranks. Many college teams are littered with NHL draftees. These players are property of the NHL clubs, and often leave school early to go pro with the club that owns their rights. However...since he was not drafted...he is essentially a free agent and can sign a pro contract with any team at any time.
  15. More likely we move down to #22 or #28 and pick up their 1st rounder NEXT year.
  16. I would too...if elam was 30. While Elam may be better than lindell THIS season, its impossible to know how long he will continue to perform. And due to the long period of time it took for me to become comfortable with a kicker after christie left, I am not willing to give up a short term gain for long term pain.
  17. ...and its served by topless waitresess... ...and its free.
  18. Yeah. You draft one late (round 6/7) who can contribute on special teams. Oh, and dont forget about wire. Although I think he will be a LB this year, he can (poorly) play safety in a pinch.
  19. Barbaro got alot of money in stud fees, did he not?
  20. Titans | V. Young lands Madden '08 cover Mon, 16 Apr 2007 20:28:59 -0700 Terry McCormick, of the Nashville City Paper, reports Tennessee Titans QB Vince Young will appear on the cover of EA Sports Madden 2008 video game. A source with knowledge of the situation confirmed Young would be on the cover. An official announcement is expected Tuesday, April 17. I for one, am shocked. I thought Manning had it locked up this year
