RB's and TE's worked out...
JimBob2232 replied to Wilson from Gamehendge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Possible, but i doubt it. More likely scenerio IMO is that Jackson is getting worn out and they want to split the workload a little. -
Does the viewing audience need to see all this

For the price of a ticket, it better be Jerry Jones himself.... -
Watching NFLN, he is at the cowboys game. He is TERRIBLE. he makes Marshall Faulk look like Howard Cosell. "We cannot talk about the stadium without talking not talking about the enourmous scoreboord which hangs 90 feet from the roof" "It will take 2,000 52 flatscreens to fit on the scoreboard" "That sineage is now gone, so its a full 90 feet, so that will aleviate any issues with the punting thing" This guy is terrible. I think he is eating the same marbles shannon sharpe is eating.

Who is #15 and #18 and the guy in the blue? Hawthore? Who else? -
Gotta disagree. I cant see New England missing the playoffs. With that in mind, the Jets are legit contenders for the playoffs. At this point in the season, I root for any NFC team, those AFC teams who I "KNOW" are going to the playoffs (i.e. New England, Pittsburgh, Indy), and those AFC teams I "KNOW" are going to miss the playoffs (i.e. Kansas City, Oakland, Cleveland). I root specifically in that order. Not that my rooting has any effect on the outcome, but seeing those middle of the road teams lose is good news this time of the year. it clutters the middle of the pack, and gives the bills a better chance at making the playoffs at 9-7 or 10-6 (maybe even 8-8).

TOTAL LAMP. Made it to Tucson... what a drive

Nice Job! And at $4/pack, you've saved yourself about $3,000! -
I dont think so...the backing of this wooden plate has a metal plate on it. There is no easy apparent way to remove it (i assume its glued on). Plus I do not have a router. But I do have a sawzall...im sure that will do the trick... (joking). I do have a hand jig-saw. Might be able to use that if I can get the metal plate off.

This video proves the exact opposite of what I thought during the game. This was a first down. It was 2nd and 10 (after an incompletion on first down). They needed 10 yards. The ball was snapped just short of the 36 yard line (between the 36 and 37 yard line). Welker goes down just shy of the 26 yard line (between the 26 and the 27). It was AWFULLY close (and probably should have been measured), but it looks like a first down to me.

Okay, so this morning I decided to tackle what I thought was a pretty easy dimmer switch replacement. I have a wall plate with 3 switches in it...the one on the left is a 3-way switch for the hallway, the one on the right goes to a living room outlet, and the center one is the dining room chandelier, which is on a dimmer. The Dimmer switch is the old school round knob type, and its going bad. The chandelier will start to flicker and you hear some "grinding" type noise in the wall-plate. These things happen...Time for replacement. So I turn off power (mind you, the 3-way switch on the left is on a different breaker than the other 2 switches in the junction box...but thats another story). Replace the dimmer. Turn power on..all works well...except for one problem...the cover plate wont fit! The new dimmer is the same size as a GFCI, and thus sticks out from the wall a little. The old dimmer just slid through a regular switch hole. So now I am in for some additional work, but I am not sure the easiest way to go, which is why I am turning to you all. My options as I see them: 1) Find a new cover plate with a Large GFCI opening in the middle. The problem with the approach is two fold... The old cover plate was a decorative wood one, so I would like to keep it, but not a big deal if i have to replace it...and I cant find one with the large hole in the middle on a 3 switch wall-plate! 2) Buy a new Dimmer switch and relocate this somewhere in the house with a single (or double) switch-box. But other than the dial-type dimmers, I dont think there are any other dimmers which will work with my current cover-plate. 3) Replace all 3 switches with Large Opening switches, and buy a 3 large opening wall plate. Expensive approach, but I can at least make this one work..Though honestly with 2 sources of power in this junction box, I dont want to mess with re-wiring TOO much. Any other thoughts out there? Thanks in advance for your help.

Looking for an Active Penn State Football Forum
JimBob2232 replied to JimBob2232's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Has potential...but there is alot of phillies/misc. sports talk...and one of the forums is by subscription only. Still the best I have found yet. Thanks. Anyone else? -
I posted this in the college football section, but im not sure how many people check over there. I am trying to locate a *Free* and active Penn State Football forum. Anyone know where I might be able to find one similar to TBD?

Well...honestly things got a little hectic towards the end and I couldnt figure out who I wanted. This is a keeper league and I think Britt has the potential to be a #1. As far as a 5th RB goes, best out there are the likes of Rickey Williams, Glenn Coffee, Caddilac williams and James Davis. Maybe I should take a flier on Davis. As for TE. I would love to pick up Jermicheal Finley...but again, I dont have a roster spot for him.

I dont think Goodell wants to be fair. i think he WANTS to be random. You do something bad, you might get a warning, you might get 2 games, you might get a season. You just dont know...dont be bad!

Completed my "main" draft tonight. Had 3 keepers. Boldin, OchoCinco, Chris Johnson. 10 team, PPR, 2RB-3WR-1 WR/RB. 6pt TDs. QB: Romo, Schaub RB: Chris Johnson, Jones-Drew, Kevin Smith, Marion Barber WR: Boldin, Ocho Cinco, E. Royal, S. Holmes, L. Evans, Josh Morgan, Kenny Britt TE: Winslow DEF: San Diego PK: Rakers Not at all how I thought this was going to go, but Jones-Drew slipping to me at #4 threw me off my game. I planed on taking Andre Johnson/Reggie Wayne as well as my keepers and finding a RB later on...but I couldnt pass up Jones-Drew and then Wayne didnt fall (2 picks earlier) Thoughts?

I have the 1st overall pick in a ten team league
JimBob2232 replied to zow2's topic in Fantasy Football
In my draft, Brees went at 2.7, Brady 2.8, Manning 2.9...I was planing on taking one of them at 2.10, but alas, didnt work out. I woulnd up with Portis/Steve Smith (Reggie Wayne available as well). Not a bad haul. So...I would not take brees #1 overall. -
I actually took Witten/Edwards at the 4/5 turn. Ocho Cinco was available, but with the boom/bust of Steve Smith and Portis I wanted to go a safer route with Edwards. LJ lasted to the 6/7 turn along with Reggie Bush. Gonzalez and Jackson were both available at the 8/9 turn. I took sanchez figuring I would know early on in the season whether he is worth holding onto or not. And he could turn out better than Palmer/Garrard. Not much available on the RB front right now. Earnest Graham, Sproles, Fred Jackson... ...thanks for the input.

QB: Palmer, Garard, Sanchez (The weak part of the team) RB: AP, Portis, Larry Johnson, Reggie Bush WR: Steve Smith (car), A. Gonzalez, B. Edwards, Deshawn Jackson, Josh Morgan TE: Witten PK: Keading DT: Minnesota Non-PPR Redraft. standard scoring. 10 team league. Start 2RB, 3WR. No flex. Thanks!

He's got the smarts....he just needs to put it all together. Remember, Drew Brees wasnt exactly tearing it up for a while..

QFT. pricescope.com forums are GREAT for learning about diamonds. Those people over there are FANTASTIC. If you have any hesitation buying diamonds online they will aleviate your fears of that as well. After a couple weeks on the PS forum, you can walk into a jewler and ask them questions they wont know the answer to...and you will wonder why would would EVER buy from someone so unknowledeble in their craft.
