  1. At least its only 5k. This poor guy hardly makes anything and is just having fun. Hope Ralph opens up his checkbook a bit this offseason for StevieJ. Not saying he needs to be a high paid guy, but need to reward him for this season he is having.
  2. see: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/news?slug=dw-boise110709 First Paragraph: Boise State athletic director Gene Bleymaier is all but begging for a major opponent – any major opponent – to play his Broncos, particularly in 2011. He can hardly get his calls returned. Not by the SEC. Not by the Big Ten. Not by anyone."
  3. Fair enough. Sounds like the perfect scenario then would be to give them all a chance at competing for a championship...gee..how could we do that...oh maybe a playoff?!
  4. I would argue that Over and Over again, Boise State proves it CAN compete with the big dogs. In recent years they are UNDEFEATED including wins over Oklahoma, TCU (x2), Virginia Tech and Oregon (x2). To say they are not as good as Oregon is silly when they have beaten them in both 2008 and 2009! I 100% concur with you that their schedule is not as good, but you cannot sit here with a straight face and tell me that they are DEFINITELY NOT the best team in college football. They may not be able to beat Oregon or Auburn this year, but to say they should not have a change is just crazy. This is my favorite argument from BCS supporters. The real issue is that teams (i.e. Boise State & TCU), can go undefeated and not get a shot at the championship. If you are LSU, and you get shut out of the playoffs, tough. You had your game and you blew it. If you were undefeated you would make the playoffs. LSU had their chance. If they are lucky enough to get a 2nd chance, so be it, but not at the expense of a team (i.e. TCU) who did everything right and WON all their games. I hate the BCS. Lets go to a playoff system. Hopefully Alabama beats Auburn and we have utter BCS chaos.
  5. Correction...ALL 32 teams passed on him multiple times. Just glad the bills grabbed him in the 7th!
  6. While its ludicrous to even speculate on playoffs this year...i do wonder...are we "mathematically" eliminated at this point?
  7. Sorry, duplicate post...Mods - Please Delete
  8. And...I just thought of this...reunited with Lynch!
  9. SalSports on Twitter: The Seattle Seahawks have signed former #Bills QB JP Losman, according to head coach Pete Carroll.
  10. I think they are just "red-shirting" him this year. Running backs have limited life in this league. Why let him get beat up when you arent going to win anyway.
  11. He just doesnt have schobel to compete with him anymore in that category
  12. A friend of mine is having his first baby (girl). I am looking for something funny. The "IPood" is a little overdone, but its the kind of thing I am looking for. I have also seen "Daddys little Tax Deduction" and one with a paperclip that says "it looks like you are attempting to raise this child, do you need help?" You get the idea. Can anyone help me find some good (and funny) Clothes for a newborn? Thanks!
  13. Funny how a salary cap (per player) is causing so much trouble. There is no bidding war for Lebron. he can only make the maximum salary. hence, he can go to the best place for him regardless of salary. Crazy. Just reinforces to me how sound the NFL is financially with the way they work the cap.
  14. I'm guessing he would have torn his ACL and MCL. Just a hunch.
  15. I have FIOS as well. I plan on picking up the redzone channel for 49.99 this year... In my mind its a good compromize between the Sunday Ticket and Network only games
  16. I didnt know celine was married to Don Cherry...
  17. NFL.com should provide the proof you need http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true
  18. I heard "it became apparent that he was not ready to be a member of the seattle seahawks"
  19. Okay, ill bite.... Drew threw for 3,284 yards his first year as starter...doing the math...16 games...205 yards per game Trent threw for 2,699 yards his first year as starter...doing the math...14 games...193 yards per game I dont think the 12 yards per game will dictate this comparison being invalid Look, Edwards may not be drew brees, but he needs another shot at becoming our QB for the long term. thankfully, thanks to the current front office, he will get another chance
  20. Players want it too. Players are tired of seeing these rookies come in, unproven, making more money than the established vets. The money paid to rookies should be going to the vets instead. This is one of those rare issues where the owners and players are in agreement.
  21. Im not so sure there wont be a rookie cap next year...i think this is the main reason why we did not take a QB high
  22. Well...of COURSE they are going to say that! Drive up the value. The world knows he is ripe for the taking...offers will come to them. They dont need to spend time today TRYING to unload him
  23. http://nflspinzone.com/2010/04/22/ben-roet...rs-a-done-deal/ Interesting to say the least...
  24. Though I would make a post and perhaps put some egg on my face tomorrow. I dont think the bills will get a QB tonight. First round QBs are extremely expensive. If you guess wrong, you hurt yourself for a while. Next year, presumably there will be a rookie cap. it will be much cheaper and less risky to draft a QB with a rookie salary cap. I suspect the bills will beef up the lines, and wait until next year before risking alot on a QB in the first round...
