  1. I am completely clueless when it comes to home audio stuff, but hopefully someone here can help me. Goal: Be able to extend TV sound from living room to kitchen (and other rooms of house) & be able to play music from iphone on remote speakers in house Current Equipment: Tivo Bolt, Fios, HDTV, iPhone Will an amazon Echo/Dot work? Do I need a receiver? What speakers do you recommend? Like I am said, i am clueless here...I dont care about great sound quality, just something for a multi-room experience. I have an existing NuTone intercom system (that doesnt work). I am not planning on using this for a home system, but wanted to throw it out there in case someone sees a good way to re-use the existing wiring/speakers. Thanks in advance!
  2. This is pathetic. Only thing worse than watching this from the bills perspective would be watching it from the Panthers perspective. They are just letting us hang in there. One lucky break and we can take this pathetic thing...
  3. I guess based on this...Jacksonville should have been pretty good last year...let me check and see how they did... Yep. This is called confirmation bias.
  4. Another good one. Would have been better if Marcia tried to actually tackle him! https://goo.gl/images/orkZdv
  5. Yup. Sounds about right. Not a single player from north of the mason Dixon line. Let's stop drafting SEC players, and focus on Big 10 and other northern schools. Players who might have experience playing in the cold!
  6. Didnt just go there...also a big booster. He funded the Pegula Ice Arena ( ), which is the best NCAA Hockey arena ive ever been in (and ive been in over a dozen).
  7. All you need to see is how good Hackenberg and McGloin looked when he was HC, and how poor they have done before/since. I've been very critical of OBrien on these boards for the way he left penn state. I thought he was dishonest and disengenuous. I still think he could have handled his exit much much better, but as time has gone on, I appreciate more and more what he did there to keep penn state relavent, and I'd welcome him in Buffalo...but expect some Marrone type behavior if he does. He is definitely not above playing game with Athletic Directors, GMs and Owners that will rub a lot of people the wrong way.
  8. Not just friends....best man at each other's wedding. Pegula and obrien have a relationship too....could be interesting, and I wouldn't bet against obrien pulling a power play against Whaley if he has the leverage.
  9. This. He hated the college game. He hated dealing with boosters, recruiting, and all the rah-rah stuff a college coach needs to do. He just wanted to coach football. I'd be very surprised to see him go the college route again.
  10. NEVER underestimate mcgloin. Guy has more heart than anyone in the NFL. He isn't the most talented, but he can play well beyond his raw ability. I'm rooting for him.
  11. Yikes. Things looked to go our way, then all the games broke against us at the end. We are still mathematically in it...but we need ALOT of help, and no room for error. Its almost impossible. But here is what needs to happen. Buffalo win out (I'll say this is likely to make me feel better) NE beat Den and Mia (Likely) Pit beat Baltimore (more likely than not) DEN lose out (playing NE, OAK, KC...possible, but I find it somewhat unlikely they lose 3 in a row) AFC South: HOU and TEN play each other, so one of them is going to have 9+ wins and win the division. The team that doesnt win the division needs to go 0-2. So we need CIN to beat HOU next week and/or JAX to beat TEN to pass them in the standings. CIN beat Baltimore (probably 50/50 at best) IND needs a loss to either OAK or JAX Ouch. Good win today, but we need WAY too much help.
  12. We are still mathematically in it...but its a long shot now...even if we win out.
  13. Why do we assume 10-6 wont be enough? IF we go 10-6 (and I highly doubt we will), then it will be with wins over Pittsburgh and Miami. Here are the teams currently ahead of us: Chiefs/Raiders (okay, lets assume that we wont pass them,,,so its down to 1 WC slot we are cometing for) Miami - Best they can finish is 10-6, but with games left against cardinals and Patriots 9-7 is probably best case. Steelers - Best they can finish is 10-6, but have a h2h loss against us. Would need to beat Bengals and Ravens. Ravens - Still have Pats, Eagles, Steelers and Benga's. Unlikely they finish better than 10-6. Could win division. Broncos - Seemingly Sitting pretty at 8-4, but have the Patriots, Chiefs, Raiders and Titans left. ouch. Doubt they exceed 9-7. Titans/Colts/Texans - all 6-6 now. one will win the division, but these teams still have many games against each other left, and alot of nonconference games against the raiders and chiefs. Unlikely anyone here gets to 10-6. It is impossible for 2 teams to win out, so the 2nd place team wont be better than 9-7. So really, its likely it is us vs. Ravens for that last spot (again, assuming we win out). But if the Ravens win the division...im not sure who else is really a danger.
  14. Thread is useless without Solomon Wilcots being at the bottom of the list.
  15. Will miss her in DC. She was always front and center, and a good top cop.
  16. If true (and I still am suspect), I think once you look past one case, then it becomes harder and harder to blow the whistle, since it will become abundantly clear that you did not do the right thing the first time around. The longer this goes on...the worse off you will look if you decide to do the right thing. But the Pennsylvania Solicitor General came out today and said these new claims were not verifiable and "of no value". The coaches in question deny ever seeing anything. Its speculation as to what really happened, but the new evidence here is pretty damn weak, and certainly not enough to merit headlines on CNN and ESPN.
  17. This doesnt make alot of sense to me. If true, it would mean that not only did Paterno know Sandusky abused children in 1971 (when he was in his 2nd year as a defensive line coach), but he then allowed Sandusky remain on the staff, and to start up his charity (The Second Mile) to help at-risk children in 1977, with alot of support by Paterno. Sandusky became a big name in College Football in the early 1980s, but he was certainly a nobody from 1971-1977. Comments made by this victim such as stating Paterno said "How can you say this about someone who did all these good things" are very strange, since at that point Sandusky hadnt even become a DL coach or started his charity.
  18. Free? Do you not eat/drink while watching the game?
  19. Its on the tv before he hears it on the phone and reacts.... seems staged to me.
  20. Not bills...but "He Hate Me" is the best of all time. Bills...how about "The Juice"???
