  1. Come on. be fair (to what he actually said). He planned on retiring. Took a banned substance to help his body heal. Then decided to come back. Got tested & failed. He isnt making excuses, he owned up to what he did. You can choose not to believe him if you want, but lets at least tell his story like he told it.
  2. RBs are a dime a dozen. Not worth a top pick unless they are a game changer (Barkley, Peterson, etc). Guys are always popping up out of nowhere. Spend the picks on OL and then hit RB hard late in the draft and UFA.
  3. Don’t worry. In typical bills fashion peterman will look just okay enough that when we go back to Allen and he throws his first pick we will be screaming for peterman again.
  4. Not that it means a lot, but Trent Edwards looked like the real deal too. Let’s hope Allen continues this trend and doesn’t have the same fate Trent did.
  5. I know its not quite the same level as what you are talking about...but Sean Lee, Paul Poslusney, Aaron Maybin, Navarro Bowman and Tamba Hali, Dan Connor, and LaVar Arrington arent exactly "back in the day" (Okay..one of those things isnt qute like the other, but I couldnt resist) Also, pay attention to #11 Micah Parsons - He will be the next one on that list...
  6. I obviously cant prove it either way, but I think there is something to it. Confidence is a strange thing. "Whether you believe you can, or believe you cant...you're right. " - Henry Ford When you get crushed game in and game out...you start to believe you cant. But I'll also say, now that you made this decision...you have to stick with it. You cant switch horses again.
  7. I hear what you are saying...but i respectfully disagree. In my opinion many quarterbacks were ruined after taking a beating with a poor offensive line. Christian Hackenberg (at PSU) and David Carr come immediately to mind. It just alters your head and your reads, and they start rushing things and never can get "right" again.
  8. I am in the camp of dont kill Allen this year. Stick with Peterman. Get the #1 pick. Trade down several times. Get some WRs, OL, TE and DBs in FA/Draft, and set ourselves up for 2019. Exposing allen to a beating is just going to mess with his head and make it that much harder for him to be the QB of the future.
  9. The only way is if the pegulas decide that they don’t have the right people and want to bring in someone else. #obviois Next year is the year we have been waiting for. #1 q.b. Still have shady. Lots of cap room. The opportunity really starts next year. We all knew that. Or at least we should have known that. We were supposed to be bad last year. It was a fluke we made the playoffs. He gets at least one more year (probably 2). Again, unless there is total buyers remorse on the pegulas side and he wants to clear the deck for some other talent evaluators and coaches to come in. But then it seems like a waste to draft Allen.
  10. I dont know that Britt is the answer...but we cant really be going into the year with our current WRs, can we?
  11. I am in on peterman as well. Looked good in preseason thus far. Dont want Allen to get killed behind our o-line. Lets get through this season, get some WRs and OL next off season and put Allen in there.
  12. Always thought we should have taken a flyer on this kid. Buffalo might be too much pressure for him though. Either way, I’d be happy to see him succeed.
  13. Wow. I have used that site as my homepage for bills news (even to link here!) for years. I am honestly not sure what i will do! What other sites do you guys use?
  14. I thought Marv levy’s stint as GM would restore the winning culture.
  15. Sad story. Think the kid got ruined when Bill O'Brien left Penn State. He had it all. Good O-Line, Good WRs, Good Coach. Then in 2013 O'Brien left and his WRs (Allen Robinson) and several OL went to the NFL. Sanctions decimated them at OL. Kid got crushed. In 2013 and 2014 he had as many sacks per game as Drew Bledsoe did in 2005 (3.4/game). He physically seemed to be able to take the abuse, but it was clear he was thrown off his game. It threw him off and he never recovered. He is one of the main guys who kept penn state together through the sanctions, and i will never forget him for that...but sadly, i think he is done here. Hope to see him get another chance, but i think time has run out.
  16. I love mcsorley, but he is not an nfl qb. i'd love to see him prove me wrong...but i just cant see it.
  17. Yep. Hopefully he is our Carson Wentz. Although that would mean he looks AWESOME, gets hurt and McCarron/Peterman wins the superbowl. How awsome would that be? (oh, and then how not awesome would the ensuing QB debate be...)
  18. Less of a function of chan, and more a function of the others on this list... if McDermott goes 0-16 the next 3 seasons he still comes out #1 on this list.
  19. I think if we see the OL and WRs playing well (unlikely), but AJ is stinking up the joint, put him in. But otherwise, wait until next year, get a top WR and a couple OL in the draft/FA. Give the kid a fighting chance at succeeding. This year is a building year IMO. Don’t want him to lose confidence.
  20. I love Barkley, and i think he is one of the best (if not the best) back to come out of college in the last 10 years. But we just cant do that. It would be suicide. A RB does not make a team, no matter how good. That said...i'd probably be estatic if they did this because i love him....but deep down i know its the wrong move.
