  1. im going to guess a DB...
  2. Below are our 4th round picks in the last 15 years. Which ones would you not trade to get the player you absolutely wanted in the draft? Gabriel Davis for sure. Only Bradham and Johnson were even decent players on this list. Its fine. Don't lose sleep over it. You can quibble over the player if you want. Maybe they should have done it earlier to get a WR. But don't quibble over the strategy and the loss of a 4th. Gabriel Davis Taron Johnson Cardale Jones Ross Cockerel Duke Williams Nigel Bradham Ron Brooks Da'Norris Searcy Chris Harriston Marcus Easley Shawn Nelson Reggie Corner Derrick Nelson Dwayne Wright Derek Fine
  3. I'm going to guess OL. But if Joey Porter Jr or Drew Sanders is still on the board (doubtful)- I'd go that way.
  4. Hilarious they couldn't find the Bills hat!
  5. That didnt age well...
  6. I am all for trading up - I just don't know which WR I want to trade up for....so maybe holding a few more picks makes sense.
  7. Man, I feel like there are some AWESOME players who will be available. Happy with JSN, Q. Johnson, Flowers, Porter Jr., Mayer or Kinkaid. Really solid options left.
  8. That kid was awesome!
  9. Porter Jr would be cool here.
  10. This reporter on NFLN asks the same question to every player "What kind of player is ______ getting"
  11. I hate how obvious it is that the announcers know the pick.
  12. Is Bill O'Brien back in Houston?
  13. It does seem like this comes to a head tonight - one way or the other - which is good.
  14. I've done a few of these. My dream: 1. Darnell Wright, OT 2. Jack Campbell, LB 3. Luke Wypler, OC 4. Jonathan Mingo, WR 5. Jack Kuntz, TE 6. Mohammend Ibrahim, RB OR, This one is a bit unique. 1. Bryan Breese, DL 2. Cody Mauch, OT 3. Luke Wypler, OC 4. Sean Tucker, RB 5. Rakim Jarrett, WR 6. Nic Jones, CB (or some other DB)
  15. Do we have last years list? How much of a correlation was there between this list and who they actually took?
  16. Not as bad as you think. Cap it supposed to go up another 30M next year. With that kind of cap growth - this becomes much less of an issue. Those players will continue to restructure (unless age gets in the way - Von) - and lower the current cap hit - and push it forward into 2025+ where the cap is even BIGGER. Pushing forward cap hits is a terrible idea when the cap is static. But when it's going up 10-15%/year - this is the game you play.
  17. I really wanted him. should be real good in ne.
  18. When future years cap keeps going up the way it is - yup.
  19. it almost literally means that. nobody else would pay more - or they would be there. But Contract details matter. 3/23 seems like a lot. But if it’s really 2/10 - it feels better
  20. Wait. I thought we wanted them fired. I'm so confused on this board. Lol.
  21. Solid move. Won't be too old at the end. Cap space now. Nothing not to like here.
  22. I had no idea his dad was "Touchdown Eddie Brown"! That guy was a legend!
  23. Crazy. I’m not a “fire Frazier” guy. But taking a year off makes no sense unless it’s illness related (and I REALLY hope it’s not). maybe McDermott will take the duties for a year. That’s probably best case unless you can go grab some hotshot college DC who is willing to gamble on themselves and take over a top defense for a year. Would be a bold move - but I can see someone (a Joe Brady type on defense - whoever that is) taking a gamble.
  24. https://www.hodgsonruss.com/media/publication/434_How States Handle Signing Bonuses for Athletes.pdf This is a very interesting article. BLUF - it appears that signing bonuses are taxed based on your residency at the time they are paid. So an athlete with residence in florida will not pay tax on a signing bonus. Interesting....they even use a NY example in this article with court cases to support it. Intresting. Im sure NFL players, teams and their agents and CPAs are all over the legalities of htis.
  25. I wonder how roster bonuses and signing bonuses get taxed by state. If they have residence in Florida - I wonder if thats zero tax.
