  1. Man - spent all game rooting for cin. now I want kc to win on this drive because it will force significant conversation on needed OT rule changes.
  2. dont matter...next play woulda been the same.
  3. I like the idea of drafting Jahan Datson as a replacement for Beasley/McKenzie.
  4. With the way Josh plays - having someone who can step in as a backup is critical. Mitch hasnt been great in his career - but he has the right pedigree for a top of the line backup QB. I'd change my mind if you could get a second rounder for him...but thats a pipe dream given that 6 months ago nobody wanted him at all. 2 preseason games wont change that. If preaseason was all that mattered - Gibron Hamdan would have been our QB for the last 10 years.
  5. i'm just glad he is our backup. Move like this the last 20 years have been made for a starter...
  6. I like etn. Would be happy with him. Trading up for a RB though...not too happy. but beans has earned my trust. Whatever he decides I’ll go in with an open mind.
  7. I addressed this once, but reposting again sure. It’s the potential word. He is a physical freak of nature. That’s what attracted penn state to him. In his 3 years at penn state he has not been a difference maker. In fact last season he declined in his performance and had ZERO sacks. sure he is an athletic freak. Sure he has a high ceiling. But he is also a 90% bust potential to me. He hasn’t shown any ability to develop that raw talent into on field production. If he couldn’t do it at penn state in a college environment that has recently done extraordinarily well in developing talent - I highly doubt he is going to do that in on an NFL team who wants instant gratification and validation of their selection. i hope im wrong (especially if we do pick him). And I wish him the best. I just would be terrified of the “potential” word with him. im all in on parsons and friermuth. But not this kid. Sorry. New add: I saw a post on the PSU forum which i thought was pretty appropriate - as you can imagine this topic on Oweh comes up a lot. Really 3 points of view. the PSU homers who are overly optimistic all want him to go in the first round - the higher the better for the program. Secondly, most think he will go late 1st/early 2nd, But 3rd, if they put their Fantasy GM hat on, most wouldnt touch him until late 2nd/early 3rd due to his "potential". Thats where you can start taking the boom/bust picks IMO.
  8. Hard to tell - but I know Josh also took a ton of chances when there was a defensive penalty like off sides. Not sure if those "free plays" are part of this or not. I really liked his awareness on the field to take a shot on those plays. Not something ive seen from bills QBs over the last 20 years.
  9. If i am being honest...Stefon Diggs. https://www.si.com/college/2014/11/01/maryland-penn-state-coin-toss-penalty-rivalry
  10. I'd be Giddy. Had to give up my 2nd round pick in 22 to Detroit to move up to 41 - but i'd take that. I cant imagine our offense if we add Harris AND Freiermuth. Cornell Powell could be a late steal as well (not that we need another WR)
  11. Agreed. I was super high on Gesicki coming out (full disclosure I was also fairly high on Hackenberg too but understood the risks there). I like friermuth - but not as much as I liked Gesicki. The “baby gronk” nickname isn’t really fair to him. I can’t see him being THAT good. But still think he would be a welcome addition here - even at 30. my hope is people read WAY too much into parsons character issues and he slips enough for us to go up and get him. But...I wouldn’t give up a ton to move up either.

  13. TLDR. Wow. That’s sad. I’d really like to have him back.
  14. This thread is overblown. Parsons has an ego. Its not unlike any other big time LB. He is not a character concern from what i have seen watching him the last 3-4 years. I wouldn't hesitate to draft him at 30. And if Oweh goes above him - that is a crime. IMO Oweh will be a bust. Parsons has a floor around Trumane Edmonds and a high somewhere around Navarro Bowman. You do that at 30. There is no substantiation of any claim by Isiah Humphries. His claims have been rejected twice by the courts. I'd want a lot more before we drag him through the mud. He didnt play this season. Many players didnt. I feel jipped as he would have been fun to watch. Some of his social media posts critical of the teams play were hard to swallow. But the team and coaches still love him. I wouldnt trade up to get him. But if im in the 12-15 range - you take him. and at 30...its a no-brainer.
  15. The NFL has to find a way to get more exposure out of their games. I can watch virtually any College game I want to each weekend - especially if they are a major ACC, SEC or BIG10 team. I havent missed a Penn State game in 10 years. The NFL needs that capability to reach a broader audience. Every game should be on TV or readily available. ESPN, CBS, Google, Amazon, NFL Network, ABC, FOX - put everygame on TV. I dont see why in 2021 that the business deal the NFL has with DIRECTV is in their best interests.
