  1. I know many people who have it and love it. However...Disadvantages include: Loss of phone with loss of cable/cable internet (and power) Only one phone jack per house (this can be alleviated by use of an expandable phone system) A router must be purchased if you dont have one. This router must have a phone jack on it. Advantages: Free long distance, and cheaper price.
  2. Awsome T-shirt http://www.biker-bash.com/2003/t_shirt_order.htm
  3. Deb: What are you drawing? Napoleon Dynamite: A liger. Deb: What's a liger? Napoleon Dynamite: It's pretty much my favorite animal. It's like a lion and a tiger mixed... bred for its skills in magic.
  4. This movie is great. The added bonus is that, unlike office space, this is a family movie. It is rated PG, and "crap" might be the worst word uttered, which makes it even more amazing it is so funny. Reccomended to anyone with an appreciation of stupid humor.
  5. Are you guys kidding me? The Delorean from back to the future!
  6. Big cuse fan, but im not getting excited yet by any means... Only ranked team we beat is miss st, and take a look at the score tonight. (losing 74-32 at the moment!). The cuse barely got by hofstra, providence and now georgetown, and had trouble with others. Not saying this isnt a good team, they are...but final four is a stretch at this point. If they can show me they can beat UConn, BC and Pitt, maybe...but until then, I have to be cautiously optimistic about this season. I cant wait until the big east next year. Louisville, Marquette, Pittsburgh, UConn, Syracuse, Cinncinatti, Georgetown, St. Johns, Notre Dame...LOOK OUT ACC! We need to get rid of rutgers and villanova however
  7. Bad defense is not why they only put up 3 points against the Patriots
  8. Uh-oh....1st off dont want him to leave. 2nd, dont want him on the phins. Thirdly, he knows the kind of hand we are trying to play with travis, and going to miami will screw it up.... Please say it aint so,.
  9. THe safety dance...SSSS-AAAA-FFFF-TTTT-YYYY SAFETY
  10. I understand the ruling...but why the rule? It doesnt make sense to have that rule at all. There must be a reason
  11. Rudi Johnson and Lamont Jordan. Some people around here are trying to tell us that Marcel Shipp and Dominic Rhodes are quality backs that will get more interest than henry. I think they are crazy.
  12. Not to mention henrys age....that helps out alot too
  13. Travis Henry gave everything he could give to this team for 3 years. He even played with a broken leg. The guy was our best offensive player the previous 2 seasons. You cant deny that. Yes, he had a problem holding onto the football, and occasionally had trouble picking up the blitz, but what he lost there he made up in heart ten times over. Travis will never break the long run (40 yards is his career long), but even with his 5-9 frame, he will move the pile and get 4 yards every time, which is just as good. The guy gave us everything he could give us, and regardless what you guys here think, it WAS a slap in the face when mcgahee was picked. Henry was effectively told, thanks for being here...dont let the door hit you on your way out. Imagine if we had a first round pick this year (along with losman), and we used that pick to take a Quarterback in the first round. Would that be a slap in the face to Losman? Clearly it would be. Thats EXACTLY what we did to travis. He has every right to be angry with the organization. Also keep in mind that about a month before drafting mcgahee the team approached him with a contract extension. I have no problem with the way travis handled himself. He said some things immediatly after willis was drafted. He probably wishes he didnt say them, but he did, and they were understandable. He said he wants to start or be gone. Probably shouldnt have said that, but everyone knows he was thinking it. Then he shut his yapper for the entire season, and after it was done, he said he wants out, And I dont blame him. Travis will succeed elsewhere, because he is the kind of back that will. He wont be flashy, he never was. But he will get the job done, as he always has. It would be nice to see him succeed here in buffalo, but as it turns out there was a reason he was slapped in the face.
  14. I just want the patriots to lose....I think that the steelers have a better chance taking the patriots in pittsburgh than the jets do in new england.... So my mind says Go Steelers...but I find myself rooting for the Pets.
  15. If Rudi Johnson and Alexander leave their teams, then Cincinatti and Seattle will need backs. Its a net wash. Lamont Jordan will be a good back in this league. The rest of those players mentioned are nothing more than backups. Teams that need a RB Miami Cincinnatti (might be sold on chris perry...but im not) Indianapolis Tennessee (Chris Brown is good, but cant stay healthy) Denver (Droghns is a fluke...but denver doesnt know it yet) Oakland Philadelphia (Westbrook is a FA) Minnesota Arizona (Emmitt cant run forever) San Francisco (Barlow causing problems in SF) Seattle (Alexander FA) Available Rudi Johnson Lamont Jordan Edgirrin James Cedric Benson Carnell Williams Ronnie Brown Westbrook Travis Henry So, by my calculation 11 teams need a RB. I will leave out Denver and even Tennessee, since they probably wont be in the market for one. That leaves 9 teams. There are 8 available backs that I can think of. Demand exceeds supply. Always good news for a seller. And with the exception of Edgirrin James, TH is probably the best back of the bunch. Now, tell me the names of 10 other RBs i forgot...cuz im sure they are out there.
  16. I still think miami trades down out of #2, picks up a late first or a 2nd and ships it to us for henry. We might have to wait until draft day for this to finalize.... Side note: Wake is kicking the crap out of UNC.
  17. Problem is getting him there. Miami has no #2 and their #1 is the 2nd overall. Best they can do is a third this year. It is VERY likely someone else will offer us a third rounder and keep henry out of the division. Henry is a brusing back, and one which i dont want our defence playing twice a year unless necessary. I say try to get a 2nd rounder out of some team this year, or try for miamis #1 next season. Or...Miami trades down for 2 #1s and gives us one of them for henry. Or...We trade our #2 this season and next season plus henry for #2 overall. Not sure if i would do that...just a thought.
  18. Funniest part is that its not named after a bobcat...but rather the owner of the team Bob Johnson!
  19. I think some of you (or most of you) do not understand the amount of maintenance it takes to maintain these carriers. This is what I do for a living. A carrier spends a LARGE amount of time in port. I would venture to say a carrier spends MORE than half of its lifetime sitting at a naval base or a shipyard. These carriers are usually ready to be dispensed anywhere in the world at short notice. The USS Roosevelt just completed a 12 month overhaul period. In general a carrier spends 6-12 months in a shipyard every 3 years. This is not uncommon. Also, at least once during its lifetime, it spends 3 years in port for a refueling (nuclear only). As stated in this thread, the Kennedy completed a 9 month overhaul a few years ago. It is due for another one here shortly, as is the Truman, and the George Washington, both of which have spent at least 6 months in a shipyard in the last 3 years. These shipyard periods require alot of people, and hence alot of money. From my perspective, the elimination of conventional carriers might be a good move. First off, they are older than the newer carriers, so they will require more maintenance and therefore cost of upkeep. Secondly, the majority of our carriers are nuclear (with the exception of the Kitty Hawk and Kennedy...i think thats all that are left). This causes the navy to employ 2 seperate groups of workers. Did you ever notice how southwest airlines, the most sucessful airline in the sky today, only one kind of aircraft? They have to train one kind of worker, have parts for one kind of plane, and need to employ only one kind of pilot. Its a cost saving measure. The navy should do the same. This said, do we need the Kennedy? It is a tactical situation. And a call you and I are not qualified to make. I understand the ship is in bad shape, and scrapping it may provide a signifigant cost-benefit. But its effect on national security is what is at stake. And I do not know the answer to that question. And the enterprise....dont even go there. Thing shoulda been canned 10 years ago.
  20. This is the first season of 24 i have seen and i love it. At some point I wll go and rent the first 3(?). All I ask is that, if at all possible, could you try to not give away things from previous seasons (dont know if you have or not...just saying)? I know, i know, if i dont want to know, dont read the thread...but I want to discuss the current season... sorry for ranting...but the intensity of this show is just too great!
  21. I dont know....I can honestly say I have never been scared by a dolphin or cardinal either. Dolphins have been on record for saving human lives. Dolphins have a history of saving other teams playoff hopes. Coincidence?
  22. In fairness, he is the DC at Texas... But yes, syracuse's reporters are worthless. Looks like JarHeadJim should apply for sports columnist
  23. I have never seen 24 before. This is my first season, and I love it. Perhaps its just one of those things that wears on you after a while, but for now, im hooked.
  24. What former bills are on the colts? (Probably obvious, but im drawing a blank). Also the falcons have a pretty strong bills connection
  25. In case you havent noticed, the throat slash jesture is no longer allowed
