  1. I personally liked the one at the detroit game today. It said "dont hate the players, hate the GaMe (with a and e written very small and GM written very large)
  2. Before this week, the bills had a very bad SOS. Worse than almost any team in the league. I do not know how this weekends outcomes affected that.
  3. I have to admit, it IS the first time i have heard it used with buffalo in it...
  4. Probably bad timing for this, cuz antonio brown had one heck of a game last night for green bay...
  5. The thing with losman I like, is that i rarely see him make a mental error. He doesnt take a sack when he could throw it away. He knows when to scramble and he finds open receivers. Sometimes he makes bad throws, but all in all he shows some good progress to me.
  6. This doesnt include today...but Losmans stats vs. Eli's last year 103/201 (51.2) 1159yds 7TD/5int Rating 70.1 04-05 Eli Manning 95/197 (48.2%) 6TD/9int Rating 55.4 So before you go completly jumping off the JP bridge, give the kid a chance. And if you have been watching him AT ALL, the kid has shown signs of brillance. His performance today was not THAT bad. It was poor, but he had MANY MANY dropped passes today.
  7. Only problem...4 years ago we were sayign "I hope we end up with a great lineman, such as Bryant McKinney or Mike Williams"
  8. Well, I dont know. Houston will not win out. I conceed this point. Even if they do somehow manage this, SF will not beat BOTH stl and Jax. #1 is out of reach, really. SF is playing Hou, so they only need one more win. Playing 2 road games against Jax (a suddenly very different team) and St. Louis (who is one of 2 teams they already beat this season). Unlikely, probably, but this is the NFL.. #2 is not all that far fetched.
  9. Jahnyc, I think you are missing the point. A high pick gives you TONS of flexibility (usually). If we are sitting there, and Reggie Bush is on the board, we are in the money. Even if we decide we dont want Bush, we can get a kings ransom for the pick. Heck, ricky williams was worth a whole draft board! People will go crazy for him and leinert. I hope one of them is on the board when we pick so we CAN trade down and get our lineman.
  10. I just posted some details on this in another post. but long story short, we can get #1 overall with a miracle (Hou winning out amongst other things). If we lose out, we cant pick lower than sixth (provided the current strength of schedule does not change). Our SOS is the WORST among teams who will have the same or worse record than us, giving us the best pick among all 4-12 teams We move up a spot if NYJ beats MIA or NE, if NO wins one more game, GB wins 2 more games, or if SF wins 2 of their next 3 (sounds implausible, but they do play HOU once.) #1 is just about impossible, because not only does HOU need to win all 3 games, but SF would need to win their other 2 games (STL and JAX).
  11. Oops...Typo...That was my point though. Peanut butter jelly with a baseball bat
  12. I decided it was time to take a look at the draft order for next year. Here is what I found out. Executive Summary: If Buffalo loses out, the worst they can pick is 6th (Based on current strength of schedule). They move up the draft order by either 1)winning a coin flip with NYJ or NYJ winning one of their remaining non-buffalo games (NE/MIA), 2)Green Bay winning 2 of their final 4 games, 3)San Fransisco winning 2 of their final 3 games 4) New Orleans winning one of their remaining games (ATL/CAR/DET/TB), or 5) Houston winning out. If all 5 happen, buffalo CAN pick first. Details: I took the worst teams in the league, presently. (in no specific order) Buffalo (4-9) Jets (3-10) Balt (4-9) Cleveland (4-9) Ten (4-9) Houston (1-12) Oakland (4-9) Detroit (4-8) GB (2-10) NO (3-9) ARZ (4-9) SF (2-10) (Note: I left all 5 win teams out of this calculation, as buffalo is assumed to lose out for this calculation and thus all 5 win teams will be below us in the draft order) I then assumed each of the above teams would lose all their games against teams not on the list (to be conservative as to buffalos draft position). Buffalo has the worst strength of schedule of any team on the above list (NYJ is tied). So, taking SOS into account, the draft order, would be as follows. 1) Houston 2) SF (GB has very good SOS) 3) GB 4) NO 5-6) BUF/NYJ (Coin Flip) 7-10) Balt/Ten/Arz and one of Oak/Cle (NOTE: Oak and CLE play each other, one will have 5 wins and slide down to the 5 win group) Buffalo cannot pick lower than 6th. I then looked at scenerios that would have to play out for Buffalo to move up the draft order. Houston would need to sweep Jax/Arz/SF to fall below Buffalo If GB can win over Detroit tonight, and knock off Either Baltimore, Chicago or a resting seattle week 17, they would also join the 4 win club and slide below buffalo due to SOS. SF would need to win 2 of 3 against Jax/StL/Hou to fall below buffalo. In addition, Buffalo would move up to sole position in the top 5 if the jets can knock off Miami or New England. If NO wins one more game (ATL/CAR/DET/TB) they also fall below buffalo So, if your keeping track at home, Root for GB to win tonight, and another game this season. So, in summary, if buffalo loses out, the worst they will pick (assuming SOS does not change..) is 6th, the best they can pick is #1. The strength of schedule (or lack thereof) is really in buffalos favor this time.
  13. Look at our roster! Todays starters from northern schools: Sam Adams - Texas A&M Aiken - UNC Losman-Tulane Crowell -UVA Kelsay - Nebraska Losman - Tulane McGahee-Miami Neufeld-UCLA Posey - Southern Miss Reed-LSU Schoble-TCU Teague-Tennessee M. Williams-Texas Shelton -Sacrament State Peters-Arkansas Everett, Parrish and Spikes(Auburn) Also from northern Schools. And I have no idea where John Carrol univeristy is (Fletcher) Its really amazing. With the exception of Lee Evans and most of our secondary, our starters are all from warm climates. Somehow I think TD leaves this little tidbit out of his draft preps.
  14. Im amazed you actually got past the first quarter watching the tivo'd game.
  15. Ya know, I wish we could clear this up once and for all (because I am sick of posting it). MIKE WILLIAMS CANNOT TAKE A PAY CUT WITHOUT GETTING A CONTRACT EXTENSION. His cap number is so ridiculously high next season. We can cut him and save alot on the cap, or we can extend his deal out and stretch out the cap hit for a number of years. Those are the options. If we feel he may yet come around, and/or he is a good reserve lineman, it may be worth spreading out the cap hit and giving him an extension. However, if we feel he is not capable of playing ANY better than he has been this season, we need to cut ties and move on. again, ASKING HIM TO TAKE A SALARY CUT IS NOT GOING TO WORK WITHOUT EXTENDING HIS CONTRACT. And therin lies the dillemma.
  16. Does anyone know what he did? The fact moulds is not out there saying he was wronged, and the fact that there has been no appeal (to my knowledge) by the NFLPA, I have to think there is something credible behind this suspension... Dont get me wrong, i love the guy and everything he has done for the bills, but there has to be something here
  17. a) who is mr. larry b) i think this works well. Let TD handle the marketing/money side of things, and let Modrak take the lead in player development/roster management. Give MM some players then re-evaluate him again at a later date. Sunday MM disapointed me BIG TIME, but perhaps we need to give him another shot
  18. I agree. I put up with berm, and even somewhat like him, because he is a die hard bills fan...but since thats the only reason i like him...odds are fans of the other 31 teams cant stand him.
  19. Hmm..so you too would have selected Mike Williams...
  20. I agree with most of what you said...only problem I have is with Mike Williams. We are really at a crossroads with this guy. If we see something in him, that he can become an avereage player, we can extend his contract (thus lowering his cap #s). The other option is to cut him altogether. There really isnt an inbetween. (i.e. we cant really say, take a pay cut or go home). Salary cap doesnt work that way. I would like to see EM back, but it appears less and less likely. I agree though we need a big physical WR on this team, so one would need to be picked up. Clements will be an interesting situation. I see no reason we cant tag and trade him ala Peerless Price. Doubt he fetches a #1 with how he has been playing of late, but a #2 is a real possibility. But...do we want to risk him signing the tag? Could get touchy. If we trade clements for a #2, we then have an early first, two 2nds (one early) and 2 early thirds. This gives us a good chance to seriously build an OL, DL, and sure up some aging positions (Safety, CB, LB).
  21. But Edwards is a very good defensive tackle...Criqui Said so!
