Well, here is the problem. Congress is out of control with spending. One would think fiscal conservatives would want to correct this. But apparently the promise of that is solely enough, and important enough, that they dont actually want to do it, or they lose a campaign issue. Democrats are being too short-sighted (shocking i know). And they only care about what will win votes in november, not what is best for the conutry. With the issue the way it was, they HAD to vote to increase the debt limit. Anything else is unsatisfactory. It had to be done. Lets assume you were using your credit card to pay your mortgage. You manage to pay your credit card bill every month and, other than excessive debt, you have a stellar credit report score. This works great for a while. But eventually you are up against your limit. You have no further cash. Correcting your spending habbits are paramount. But what you really need, short term (very short term) is a credit line increase so you dont hurt your credit (and lose your house) and can stay on your feet long enough to correct the problem. Same thing is happening here. We needed to increase the debt limit. It had to happen. HOWEVER, we need to take IMMEDIATE action to ensure the problem is corrected. I dont have faith in congress to do this, but damaging the "full faith and credit of the united states" to make a point is not worth it. I would love to stand up and make a statement in the november elections, but I live in VA and my senators are not the problem...nor is my representative (anymore...used to be the AWFUL Bobby Scott).

Yeah, really. Just learn the basics of how the cap works people. Its clearly a rough estimate I gave, but its probably as good as anyone can guestimate right now.

He is one of the best young recievers in the game, and he made 500k last year. He held out of camp because he did not want to risk injury and his career for a "measly" 500k salary. At the last minute, he decided to play instead of sit out the season. What happened? Torn ACL. He then fires his agent (Rosenhaus) because he got him into the situation he was in. Taking all that into account, its hard to fault the guy for beeing a little ticked with the way things are going for him. I cant put the "troubled player" label on a guy when I can see so clearly where he is coming from.

If its true...do it now. Pending a physical. They will be lucky to get that because a) he is coming off an injury b) he wants a new contract 2 big problems. But for a 5th rounder, its worth the risk. I would even accept giving up a 3rd for him, but no higher.

Salary Cap: $102 million per team TV Revenue: $100 million per team So every team gets a check for 100 million dollars. Essentially the team roster is paid for. Everythign else they make on ticket sales, merchandise, sponsorships, thats all gravy. I dont buy for a second that the NFL owners are getting a raw deal here.

We are in the middle of FA, have a ton of cap room, and need to devote resources to finding and obtaining good talent in the draft. When we get time and/or need money, then its time to talk with NC. Keep in mind, NC's agent is probably in the same boat. 3) Since he didnt get traded last year. I would have to say the likelyhood of him being traded this year are signifigantly better
