  1. "and now it's time to say goodnight to Sue and all our friends. I've laughed so hard tonight I've gone and crapped in my depends Your all invited back again to this menagerie When Sue has got a question on how to find out 2 times 3" Y'all come back now, hear?
  2. I see a great deal of history appreciation here. A friend of mine is getting ready to publish a Civil War book on the history of the West Point class of 1862. Tremendously well researched and there are some really fascinating stories there. He graduated West Point himself (Retired Colonel) and is often asked to conduct seminars and such. The story is told primarily through the eyes of a central 19 year old cadet (who's room mate was GA Custer) and it deals very nicely with the politics of the time, what life was actually like at the academy in those days, and very detailed and scholarly descriptions of the battles they participated in. Goes into their later life experiences, for those who survived. He's located many rare period pictures to accompany the story. When it comes out, if anyone is interested, I will get some autographed copies.
  3. Grease floats, right?
  4. No small wonder you were sick as a dog. Yuck.
  5. Our next project should be to "convert" Sue. She seems to have missed recent middle eastern events in her history classes. I caught that when she was doing her John Edwards rally cry for Kerry the other day. That might be a bit of a tougher nut to crack, though. She sounds pretty dangerous with a beer mug in one hand and a killer marquise on the other. I wouldn't blink. But, another time. I don't think this needs to get moved to PPP.
  6. In the span of about 18 months we've converted a pansie as$ed tree hugging terrible person liberal into a heartless neocon who would like nothing better than to have his finger on the big button. I consider that great teamwork and tremendous progress. But, I digress....
  7. Don't bother. It's government propoganda.
  8. Because then Ed would get hit with a telephone pole, nit wit. We like Ed now. We've brainwashed him, remember? And I can't fly with an ammonia filled squirt gun.
  9. Oh, just fuggin great. you said telephone pole. Now I'm going to have to fly to New Jersey and get bit by a dog.... .....AGAIN.....
  10. I'm no expert in this, but it's as I say. Needless destruction will be avoided, but if the situation warrants, things will be blown up. Perhaps Chicot can chime in to verify this, but Fallujah is pretty well run down and in disprepair after 18 years of war and neglect. If it can be stabilized, we'll pour a lot of money into rebuilding it better than before.
  11. As few as possible.
  12. "Come and listen to a story 'bout a gal named Sue Had herself some homework and didn't know just what to do Then one day she posted up upon the wall... Look at everybody join the fuggin free for all..." "Well the first thing you know a google search is there Board folk said "Sue, you get your answers there!" Said "do your homework it's the way it ought to be. To many of us here it's not the greatest mystery" "Didn't take long before it was a fight. 180 posts and counting and it isn't even night. I guess she got her answer but she's feeling pretty sore... It doesn't really matter, she'll be coming back for more. Take your shoes off, stay awhile...
  13. Unless I'm very wrong, in my opinion and from what I've heard, Fallujah will not exist next week. Period. Except as rubble and dust.
  14. There has been a lot more emphasis put into training for these street to street things. Most major bases have some sort of an urban training facility, basically small towns where one can practice the techniques. But training for it and doing it are two different things. The bad guys are on their turf. They know every block, every building, every brick. They have been attacking from schools, hospitals and mosques. Last time, our guys tried to wear the white hats. This time, if they are taking fire said building goes away with everyone in it. Like I said, get ready for whatever comes out in the media because it could get pretty ugly.
  15. There is no, absolutely no combat worse than urban. Because of the nature of the fighting, they are all going to be treated as bad guys. The gloves are coming off, and it's not going to be pretty. Semper Fi, fellas.
  16. This can be set to ignore multiple responses, or string responses from the same source.
  17. Long time coming. This should have been handled by July 2003. It's going to be much, much worse now. Buh bye, Fallujah. It's been real. Shame, it didn't have to be this way.
  18. No, it's set up mostly for gay animal porn. The full up version is not that expensive, but for homework if you can't get enough information to collate a response out of the freeware version, I'd be very surprised. You need to learn how to scan results, so you can figure out which ones to ignore. Scan 5 or 10 source results, get the backgroud to your question, formulate your answer and submit it. It's called using the internet for research. This is actually one of the better products I've seen out there.
  19. Here's to hoping that the innocents have left town, and that our soldiers and marines are as well trained as I think they are. A lot of people are going to die this week. This will be a bloodbath. Be prepared.
  20. Copernic Combines 18 engines that run simultaneously, can be configured and personalized, and can store search strings for later reference. and, the roll up windows version is free. Just thought I'd pass this along. If I can use it to find obscure refererence material on middle eastern politics, it might just be adequate for currency conversions.
  21. I'm 30 years past zits. Probably more due for an artery scraping.
  22. See the goat. Be the goat.
