  1. There are two distinctly different fights going on in Iraq. One is with the Baath loyalists who went to ground with a pre-planned strategy (a good move on Sadaam's part, BTW-but a predictable one) and that with the overall Jihadists who are taking advantage of the situation at hand. Two totally different sets of goals. Although in some respects they have made an unholy alliance, the cross purposes are eventually going to bump heads. It is very likely that things will look somewhat differently about March 2005. Right now, much is hinging on disrupting and nullifying the elections.
  2. Ditto. I was pulling for Mark Martin for nostalgia reasons, as he only is going to have one more season, but I've been an ABG fan since Jeffies arrival. He's a good driver, with a good team-I just don't like him. Would like to see Tony Stewart put it together next year.
  3. Will? or should. As usual, some bigger market team is going to get someone less deserving voted in on the homer theory.
  4. You mean T-Bone?
  5. Isn't there a slot for a special teamer? The Bills seem to have discovered a few good return guys. One or two more runbacks for either Magee or Clements and I'd guess they'd have a shot.
  6. Camden, NJ? And no, no one is taking away MY privately owned nuclear weapons.
  7. There's a telephone pole in here somewhere...
  8. I'm not saying it would be a good or bad thing. Just wondering how the team's brain trust views it. Could it hurt for JP to at least think he has to earn it? Losman could come in and set records-or he could come in and have rookie struggles. Who's to know? I'm giving a very compartmented scenario that probably would not pan out anyway. But we've all seen things come out of this team that has made us shake our heads with wonder. It boils down to a "known" quality vs an unknown, when you have a team that is set up to go "all the way".
  9. I'd appreciate a PM and directions.
  10. Agreed. And who buys the stevestojan? Kids from both sides who think it's "cool". As Mellissa says, get a life. When you add it all up together, it's not hard to see why fiascos like the Pacers-Pistons comes about. It's what those of us who should put our foot down instead choose to consider "permissable".
  11. I was sort of hoping that Drew would, too.
  12. I have a feeling the bad guys are going to pull something out of their azz in the fourth quarter to win, but I wouldn't pick against you.
  13. I'm not on a bandwagon either way. They can play Annette Funicello at QB for all I care, as long as it wins games. I try to look as objectively as I can, and the entire team has developed as a whole, especially with the introduction of Willis. As one part of the game has improved, the rest of the facets seem to come on line. I agree. This Seattle game could make or break Bledsoe.
  14. Hasn't Henry pretty well always been a "slow starter" who really didn't get his legs under him (cringe, pardon the unintended pun) until a few carries?
  15. The rest of this season somehow comes together and the Bills have the pieces in place to make a serious run next year. Is 1BD going to put their shot at a SB in the hands of an "unproven" rookie QB? By comes together, I echo a lot of what's been posted here. Excellent defense, superior special teams and a strong running game. One needs basically a caretaker QB who won't lose games. Look at the Ravens run. Would experience be more important than flash if it's determined that the QB doesn't have to be another Peyton? A little devils advocacy here, but once again, what if?
  16. Who do they get to play Teresa, and, are there any nude scenes?
  17. No prob. Hope you sell many.
  18. Also, in all seriousness, they race stock cars in England, and they do turn right. There are road courses on the schedule as well, where all the "moonshine swillers" actually have to road race, as in sports cars. Left and right turns, doglegs and chicanes, heel-toe brake/shifting. Quite interesting to watch in a car that heavy.
  19. I've already nominated him for cannonization in another thread. The Bills would not have half their home wins if it weren't for ST's. With the waythe offense can screw up an ice cream sundae, given time, a 40 yard field looks real, real good. Those 6 pointers help a lot too.
  20. Glad the Bills game was over in time to catch the last 100 laps. Won by 8 points. Maybe the new format is going to catch on after all.
  21. Gotta like a good old lever action. I had a Marlin .444 I was pretty partial to.
  22. Methinks one can do a good bit of damage with a Remington Pump, should one want to. Of course those doing the crying could not tell the two apart.
