It's not "here" anymore Toto, it's in.....the other place.....knew that one was coming, and I like the psychiatry. FWIW, cool move....

I'm certainly glad that I now know PPP is a place where no one understands the issues. I was working on WMD interdiction aspects to the Special Operations Commands warplan for the defeat of Al Queda today. What did you do?

Thanks Barry.

I thought the internet was for porn. Didn't someone round these parts tell us so? Why half step with bikinis? Although I do like that little bit of wonder. Hey, they killed the good thread yesterday, got to get something up to 500 posts. Bye week really ain't that bad. Had a lot of fun.

My cats breath smells like catfood. ...and, I sure hope so.

IT LIVES? Spend a lot of time on the phone today?

You'll have one guy coming up with some true stevestojan because he doesn't know, and one spouting off talking points because he can't tell what's really going on. THAT is why I'm probably not watching.

What a bunch of rabble rousers. I have an opposite problem. Much of the time when I post something in certain subjects everyone shuts up and goes away.
-
Well, that explains the lefty leanings. Seriously, you might actually be really surprised at what some folks over there actually know.
-
You could always just ignore Kerry. Whatever position he takes he's just going to change anyway. You really know and understand the issues? Why not pop over to PPP? It could get done here, but the PPP is for that purpose. Anything that turns political gets shuffled there anyway. I haven't had anyone new to explain global terrorism to in quite a while.

But, can you say nooka ler?
-
Now THERE"S a thought. We can discuss Homeland Security and National Defense, which BTW is tonight's agenda. Nothing that matters much to the next four years.
-
To coin a fellow poster, "Thank you"", and to quote another, "but there's nothing wrong with that".
-
A technologically proficient backwoods moron? Or, maybe a technologically proficient partisan hack, or... my head hurts. and I'm REALLY pi$sed off. I heard driving back tonight that VIOXX is getting pulled off the market. That's how I get through a day.

I live between two Kerry-Edwards signs. Could be a lot of fun. I'll even make kool-aid.
-
Man, you sure are deep....since everyone is going to the poles to vote, you got your butterflys set up yet? I'm thinking of going electronic.

I most definitely read past the OR, and that still doesn't change what was written before it. And I think you are missing my point. You think what you think, and you have every right to decide what you want. It's another step, IMO in the wrong direction for calling folks who don't think the way you do stupid. I'm most likely not watching the debates either, but I don't think EVERYONE who does is either a blind partisan or a moron. Could be, but I doubt it. I will also agree with you that no one should be basing their vote on one debate, after all if nothing else there are two more. I DO think that there might be more than a few as I pointed out earlier, who are using this as just a piece of the puzzle. Sadly, many people are not going to do their homework on this one, and might not vote at all. There's a difference between being purposely ignorant and stupid. I have a particular interest in Defense Policy. That will be the main focus of tonight's debate. I'd watch Kerry's POV if I didn't think it would change by Tuesday.
-
Wow. You don't find that the least bit insulting or presumptuous? I understand what you're saying but in the manner that you are saying it you are calling people who don't agree with your POV a bunch of dumbasses. What if, for whatever reason, someone reading this-or not-simply wants to tune in to see what gets said, as I said before-scripted or not. I know Kerry is your man, but up to this point no one seems to have ANY clear idea of what he plans to do with the country. If you have it down share-because you'd be about the only one in America who does. Anyway, all in all-as usual, this is pretty pointless. Folks either agree or disagree.
-
Well, if your not watching it how will you know? I don't think the idea is for people to make up their minds based on one debate-although a lot of Kerry supporters hopes that happens. The idea is to take all the little bits and pieces and fit them together prior to November. This is just another of the pieces. Even if it's scripted, the script should reflect the positions, at least somewhat. WWF at a podium might be more entertaining, but isn't going to get any real message out. This is the first opportunity for both of them-scripted or not-to share the floor. In this happy little TV sound bite society we live in, a position stated on Tuesday is forgotten by the other candidates position stated Friday. More difficult to make a comparisson.
-
I don't think anyone is really questioning your desire or right to do that, but unless I'm mistaken you are also tossing out the idea that anyone not already voting for Kerry is a simple minded idiot. There's also some flavor in there that since you don't want to watch them no one should get to, because it interferes with regular programming. Am I off base here?
-
Definitely have a point there.

I see a lot more of it than is in the news. Question for the board. WTF is going to get accomplished by the "insurgents" (this really isn't insurgents, but we won't go there)? US engineers have rebuilt the same power plants 3 and 4 times at this point. What do you think the goals are here, and how is blowing up your own people and your own infrastructure going to get you anywhere. I get sort of baffled with the tactics. Even if the Jihadists and Baathists succeed in getting the US out, and prohibit democracy from occurring in favor of the totalitarian Islamic regime-don't they think they'll need electricity and running water? Blowing up a bunch of kids just trying to get some candy isn't going to go well with the masses (who you never hear from, BTW). This all seems kind of screwed up.

Well thanks Joe, so much for Pot Roast for dinner.
