  1. Based on the way the season ended with Jax and Buf in the playoff hunt, I would be willing to bet he just used Jax as leverage. I think adding Travis Henry would have definitely helped the Jags. Fred Taylor is great when healthy, but he never seems to stay healthy. Having Henry would have been great insurance. Jax has big questions at rb. TD got the deal he wanted. Too bad for Jax. Snooze you lose. Anyone else think he never had any intentions of sending him to Jax?
  2. It's finally over. Hindsight is always 20/20 and the nay sayers will say we should have traded him earlier or not at all. Good value for a disgruntled back. Good luck travis.
  3. You guys who run this site do a fantastic job. As a matter of fact, this recently became my homepage over google. Great job!!!
  4. No kidding. For a while there I thought we were going to settle for a 5th.
  5. Tell me more, what did he say?
  6. Shhhh... Don't tell everybody. I've already arranged the bar in Orchard Park where we are all going to get together. "I bet you that Matusow has...." t-r
  7. They had a live broadcast over the internet last night. I stayed up until about 3 listening. It was pretty exciting but I know exactly where you are coming from. I promise all of the drama was not revealed. When you start watching you'll still enjoy due to the fact that you don't know the whole order. By the way, j_b it's mcbrakad from the ESPN Sabres board. I haven't posted there in a long time due to the lock out, but I'm looking forward to getting started again. How you been? t-r
  8. I thought everyone would want to know. My bad.
  9. A friendly wager says he doesn't retire. I know he's saying that he will, but he won't. There is still money to be made and he's not going to walk away. Jennings is 27 and entering the prime of his career thus the big contract. Verba is going to be 33.
  10. http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-tournament...273&screen=logs 2nd was Steve Danneman 3rd was Tex Barch Tom Sartori from Buffalo finished in 26th which is a 400,000 pay out. t-r

  12. I didn't hear, but please post any info regarding the trade. Thanks.
  13. Benny Anderson is proven. I think they have both started for a few years. I say 4 proven and one gaping whole.
  14. Man Dice was bent. I wonder if he runs a gym.
  15. I nearly split my pants when Kimmel said that. It's funny that it seems like such an exaggeration but Cruise really acts that ridiculous. http://gorillamask.net/cruiseoprah.shtml
  16. \ If charges are actually brought up I think alot more people will care. It's wait and see time..
  17. If this means they are willing to part ways with Nate Clements I am going to so fuggin mad. McGee is a decent corner and I guess we can always draft a player or sign a stop gap, but Clements is a top 5 corner in this league. If we lose this guy I am going to b!tch slap TD.
  18. I'm not disagreeing with you that his value in the franchise was not as great as he thought it was, I just think people questioning his character based on him leaving the Browns is unfair. As for the rape issue at his home, that is a different situation. If anything materializes from it then I guess we have to revisit the question, but as for now I think he's atleast worth a look. t-r
  19. How is that not getting screwed? He had no control over the management situation when the season started. He had no control over the GM or the coach being fired. I'm not saying that the new management team was obligated to make good on the former's promises, but from Verba's standpoint wouldn't you expect them too? They didn't and he moved on. He got a raw deal even if it wasn't from current management
  20. Butch did in fact try for the reach around. www.verbareacharound.com
  21. That is fuggin histerical.
  22. The Browns promised to re-visit his contract after last season. Unfortunately for Verba, that didn't happen. I don't think his character is that much in question. He was told one thing and the team did another. I'd want out too
  23. Verba finding little interest: Jul 15 - The Bills might have some interest in Verba, who is finding life in the open market to be something less than he expected, ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli. Buffalo officials touched base with Verba's representatives this week, inquiring about his status and his plans, thus keeping him on their radar screen. Verba secured his release from Cleveland after agreeing to repay a $465,000 roster bonus. He had been seeking to renegotiate his contract, which had two more seasons at $2.95 million per, and was seeking a five-year deal worth about $38.5 million. However, the Beacon-Journal notes that his public spat with the Browns might have raised questions about his character. There already were questions about his age (32 in October) and durability (he missed all of 2003 with a biceps injury. ESPN.com's John Clayton previously had suggested the Texans have the necessary cap room and could consider signing Verba. Everyone knew he wasn't going to get the fat contract he was demanding. Is there a chance he comes around? I wouldn't mind seeing him here to compete for the Left tackle position. Thoughts? t-r
  24. I'm easy come easy go.
