I've known this kid for about 12 or 13 years. He's a lying cheating self centered prick who needs to have someone kick his ass. He's stolen money from me in the past, he tried to jump me, he's antogonized me to the point where I have seriously had enough. Here's the catch, he's my brother's bestfriend. At this point I'm tired of the excuses my brother generates for why I'm not allowed to kick his ass. I'm 27 years old and maybe been in 5 fights my whole life. I don't look for them and I don't usually get involved. Yet this kid has pushed me too far. Now, all I want to do is have 15 minutes alone so that I can give him the proper beating he deserves. Yet, now he's telling me he's going to call the cops on me if I beat him. I'm not going to call the cops for the money he stole or for any other reason I just want my 15 minutes. It was 450 dollars. What should I do? T_R

Was is accurate. Until this year I would have agreed with you. However, Ryan has shown to have a better glove hand, poke check and reaction time this year. He's been a bit shaky the past few weeks but this kid is something special. Biron hasn't been bad but the obvious hasn't gone away. He's inconsistent, he always flops to his knees and his glove hand isn't as good as Miller. Marty has the best attitude on the team and is my favorite sabre of recent memory but Miller is the guy. All the talk is about drafting O-Lineman
The_Real replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Posey isn't a bust, he's just a nice player. No one other than Bills fans expected him to have 15 sacks and 120 tackles. We paid a moderate price for a serviceable OLB. He's been average to above average his whole time here, just not acceptional. I've liked alot of what he does aside from the pass coverage on backs coming out of the backfield but there aren't many lb's that can play pass much better. Linebackers covering Big n fast Tight Ends or Running backs is a miss match on any team in the NFL right now. Antonio Gates, Algi Crumpler, Tony Gonzalez are a few guys off the top of my head but production through the position is very high right now in the NFL. He's not going to the Pro bowl but he isn't chopped liver either. The_Real -

OMG! The Browns are going to be SO much better.

Bentley, shaffer and Jurevicious to help the O. Big Ted and Willie McGhinest on the D. If we could have only gotten that type of production from our front office. They are going to be the team we should be. I'm cheering for the browns secretely this year. T_R -
Yaay! I agree with someone!

My hope is that the Bills try to emulate the Sabres. Remember at the beginning of the year when we all thought they'd suck? They just stayed committed and played their game. We need that t_r

It has become clear to me that there is no way that anyone can tell what their respective team is going to look like from year to year. Entering free agency you can make an evaluation of the team the previous year, however anything after that is a guess. Free agency has redefined the NFL. Then comes the draft. By August no one knows a damn thing. So Maybe we're doomed. Maybe not. Cup half full people !!!!! * Note to reader: I will be a father with in the next week. I'm trying to look on the positive side of everything. T_R

BOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!! People are going to fight about anything and everything. Welcome to the melting pot of fans who find it necessary to share their opinions. If we all agreed we'd be the biggest group of pansies of all time. Vive la instigators!!! T_R -
Buffalo and top round picks have failed in all three scenarios relative to who you ask. qb- Jp. I haven't given up but many have already. de- Flowers... Oh canada.... lt- couldn't even play on the frickin left side and four years later he's gone. At this point I just want a good player. I want it to be that TE out of Maryland but I won't be heart broken if Ngata or D'brick or Williams falls to us. Vern Davis is a franchise player, who is addition an absolute freak. Preys "With the 8th pick in the 2006 NFL draft The Buffalo Bills take Vernon Davis, Tight End, Maryland." T_R

At #8 do we take the best player available?
The_Real replied to The_Real's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Listen I love Takeo, but the chances of him coming back 100% are slim. If he does great but I'm not counting on it. Posey has done nothing to prove he's an elite lb. Fletcher is pure gold. Him I'll give you. After that Crowell is decent but then who? Stamer? Come one man, he's average at best and then we have an even bigger fall off. We may be alright but there are alot of questions yet to be answered. T-R -
This may sound ridiculous but amidst the recent cuts and certainly more to come, do we have ANY stregths? We now have a hole at safety, we are thin at linebacker, we have no offensive/defensive line. Who knows what we have at wr/te with Everett yet to see a week of time and Moulds team status in the air. Next year we are just going to flat out suck. I don't want to sound like the DOOMED guy or anything but we are getting rid of all the glimmer of hope players we have left. This brings me to the point of this here post. With so many holes where do you start? We need help everywhere. Yikes, can you say rebuilding.... again.... The_Real

Consider your options. If the situation is dangerous to her well being and she is going to be hindered in her learning experience it's time to find a way to resolve the scenario or move to another school district. If the issue isn't being handled by the proper authorities, ala the principle, then why would she feel comfortable there? I'm not much a fan of defending children (I think to one degree on another they are all guilty. ) but very little is going to be solved by staying and having continued worries because of the principal's lack of concern. You have to determine the severity of the scenario and consider it's affect on your daughter. If you deem the scenario fixable reach out to the parents of this little girl. If not get to steppin and before the situation gets out of hand. I'm sure most of the older members here will tell you she should probabily go to school with a bat or something. Try to let her resolve her own problems so she doesn't rely on you her whole life. Yet, in my opinion protect her to the best of your ability and take no chance on the lack of parenting of others. The point I'm trying to make is you can't predict a bust. You may think a player will be better or worse than when he is drafted but a complete bust? Impossible. These I told you so threads are just silly. We made a mistake so lets move on already. It's in the water in WNY to not let things go though.... 'forward lateral, No goal, No goal again, etc.....' I agree, but he isn't the GM of the Bills anymore and the player has been released. What else do you want him to do to assume responsibility? Tom Donahoe was beat up by the media/fans for this pick. Yet, everyone still loves Modrak? Huh? If Modrak wasn't here then I'll eat crow, but I'm fairly certain I remember him being asst. gm already. That has to make him semi responsible for the scouting. The blame in this scenario should fall 98% on Mike William's shoulders. He could have been a great player for the bills, but he just forgot what his proffesional career choice was. In my opinion the NFL does this to themselves. They overpay kids fresh out of college and they lose their motivation to strive for greatness. The bills got screwed by the player, not the gm. I think TD is a boner but he tried to make this team succesful. Any one who can't see that is just mad at the team's success while he was here. He tried and came up short. That's never happened to you? T_R -
Mike Williams was a stud coming out of college. ESPN had him ranked as the top tackle. He's a 6'6" 360 lb monster that you would assume would continue his career of running people over and finishing his blocks. He led the nation in pancake blocks. How in the hell would Tom Donahoe or anyone else see that the kid would fall short? Is he a bust? HELL YEAH. Is there anyway you could have predicted it? HELL NO. Just like Eric Flowers and Ryan Leaf and Brian Bosworth and so forth. Players are taught to say the right things in college so you really aren't going to know who is real and who isn't until they get there. This whole business of hindsight and how some of you love to say I TOLD YOU SO, is rubbish. Every team has egg on their face from time to time. It was a bad pick 4 years ago and the Bills in essence admitted that by sending mike packing. Get over it already. T_R

So just exactly how much money are you willing to lock up in linebackers? Fletcher, Posey, Spikes, Crowell then Ray Lewis? For your best offensive player? I gave up the weed last summer. Just a thought. T_R
