Julius Jones - Likely to be traded
Phil Indablanc replied to JuanGuzman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Morphing well there Dean. -
I once got pwned at Hamlin beach. Just one of those casual hook ups. She was about 2 or 3 years older than me and certainly had more experience. But that was a long time ago. So long in fact that you could'nt ever use the term "pwned" on a web site. In fact, there was not even a web then. Now that I think about it there was'nt even a word "pwned" back then. My how times have changed.

Deciphering what Marv said on 2/16/07.
Phil Indablanc replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No. He meant fruitation. Definition: A man's irrepressible urge to move to San Francisco or Key West, date other men, and skip to work. Example: "Look here comes Bob and his boyfriend. Looks like the fruitation is complete." -
Two questions. Two somewhat indirect answers. Ditka. Ricky tick tick tick.

From my experience it's all about the killer B's. Brockport, Beechwood, Bills. (I'll bet nobody but Kenny knows that middle reference.)

Adversity does not build character. It reveals it. Having proven that you can overcome major obstacles in your past means that you are more likely to be able to deal with them in the future. And as for your comment that "character issues are overblown in today's NFL" just ask Pacman and the flaming thumbtacks if it is overblown.

8 Weeks of Thurs. Night Football. My Plan
Phil Indablanc posted a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The post regarding teams playing at a disadvantage when facing a team coming off of a bye inspired me to dust off my Thursday night football plan. Here it is: Eight bye weeks during the middle of the season. Bye weeks are by division. (All four teams are off) All teams are scheduled to play a division rival the week after the bye week. One of those games is played on Thursday and the other on Sunday. The benefits: Nobody is at a disadvantage or advantage in the game after their bye week. Thursday games are interesting division match ups I get to see more football. Thoughts? -
Media Bias against the Bills
Phil Indablanc replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Then explain the ball washing, media suck up, azz licking, butt lovin, superbowl destined crap that they have been paying to the piece of crap team that Miami is? Good God Almighty!!!! Saban was like the second coming if you listened to these media goobers. I agree that the media loves to bash Bufallo. Why? Because it is so easy to do so with little backlash from a small fan base. It's all about media market share and they are pandering to the masses. I'm a Bills fan and I relish the role. Every dog has his day and ours is going to be so much sweeter after having endured this. -
San Diego Union-Trib Article from TBD Frontpage
Phil Indablanc replied to bartshan-83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Realizing that TBD has a real need at the position of intelligent poster SDS has been said to be floating trade offers for San Diego's Surfratt. Initial rumors that Clumping Platelets was offered in a straight up trade have proven false. SDS has already plainly stated that CP "means way too much this site" to be considered. More likely TBD would have to package Pyrite Gal and another poster such as Frez to pull the deal off. -

San Diego Union-Trib Article from TBD Frontpage

April 8, 2007 San Diego. The San Diego Tribune reports that the bidding war for Turner is heating up. Several new teams have entered the competition for Turner's services. Sources close to GM A.J. Smith who asked to not be identified have said that one of the new suitors is the Colts. Although seemingly set at the running back position they have made an offer. They are said to be offering their first and second round picks this year, their second round pick next year, and QB Peyton Manning for Turner and San Diego's seventh round pick next year. GM Bill Polian was quoted as saying "You can't have too many second string backs in this league". -
I can answer at least one of those. It's an old New York City expression. "Never judge a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes, That way you will be a mile away and you'll have his shoes."

Willis would be the starter for 4/5 of the teams in the NFL and was Buffalo's starter. He had one year left on his contract (just like Turner) and he was worth 2 threes and change. What is the difference?

Capacitors. My company makes them and some sell for a "dime a dozen" How do we live on that? Easy. Volume. About $500,000.000 dollars worth last year.

This sounds like a little bit like the Steve Young story. Granted Young was only in TB for two years but I think that Carr will do well in Carolina (my second favorite team)

Let's break this down. We are talking about a kid who showed a lot of promise. A guy who has had the opportunity to study at the feet of an older and more experienced team mate at the same position. A man who when called to the field of play rose above and beyond expectations. A player who's team believes that he is worth every bit of a first round pick. But enough about Rob Johnson. Let's get back to the Turner discussion... -
This guy puts us all to shame
Phil Indablanc replied to sarmanuscg07's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure about 2 of them now. After I found out that Pinto Ron was in fact Kenny I contacted him to ask that same question. That was when he told me that the Pinto we rode to work in was not the "tailgate" model. I was a little disapointed but took solace in the fact that I had actually rode in "a" Pinto with Kenny". As a Bills fan there is no greater honor than having been and associated with what truly has to be one of (if not the greatest) Bills fan. One day we were on our way to work when Kenny suddenly blurted out "Oh crap!!! The Lou Piccone show is on!!!" He turned on the radio only to find that it was over. His comment to me was "doesn't that just irk you?" You gotta love the guy. He truly bleeds Bills blue.
