That movie also has some really classic expletive TV-edits. -
Did anyone else hear this on Moulds?
ROCCEO replied to Mile High's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thank you, it seems liek every day i have to come on here and make that argument. -
Anyone who thinks this is our last shot is nuts. Our team will only be getting stronger. If the argument is that it'll take JP a while before we can win with him and the person making the argument also is not a drew-believer, I feel that is an impossible line of thought. Look at what guys like Big Ben and Drew Brees have done this year, and they've been pretty good. With our defense and running game we will be asking JP to do what Kyle Boller is doing in baltimore when he first starts for us. I have a hunch though that he will be capable of that at the very least. SO that would leave us where we're at now anyhow, but with a scrambling quarterback. As long as JP doesn't bust ultra-hard and we dont lose Jennings/Williams/Clements in the next 2 years, I'd say things are looking good for a while in Buffalo.

Yesterday someone mentioned Pat Williams

Are you AFC East loyal in the Playoffs???
ROCCEO replied to col_forbin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only way Id root for the pats or jets is if they were facing the eagles in teh super bowl. Out of the AFC I like the Broncos most years(but not this one: no portis + Jake the snake + they were battling the bills = no go), but this year Im gonna root for San Diego I think, although pitt wouldnt be too bad. Out of the NFC: gotta root for the vikings(which is a tough thing to do, they always blow it), and maybe the packers because Brett favre can still be aamazing from time to time. -
lets not even get started with that right now.

If any team should be looking at Drew and Travis it's Arizona. THey need a back, Emmitt did good for them this year and TH is better than Emmitt at this point and he has a similar running style. Plus, Denny Green always used to turn old QBs into gold up in Minny so who knows what he could do with Drew in the putrid NFC west.
-
Chicago is set at RB: They really like Thomas Jones and Travis isn't the style of back that theyd use in that system anyhow. As for drew, i cannot see why they would want to pay over 5 million to a guy who would sit the bench for them.

as for denney, i think he's sub-par as well: but holy sh-- did he surprise me be jumping over that lineman to sack maddox the other day.

Three bills make it to the ESPNs All-Pro Team
ROCCEO replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I must say that in Madden 2005 krieder has no equal when it comes to run blocking fullbacks. -
does young have the arm that it would take to play QB in the pros? It doesnt seem that likely, although his "slash" potential may be unparallelled. I watched that whole game the other day and I was thoroughly impressed with that young man's athletecism and reactionary ability.

Thats a pretty good showing considering we didn't make the playoffs. This last week was a disappointment but this year was a major success if you ask me. While we still have a few question marks, we've answered a lot and there is a ton here to build upon. -
Even GW didn't come up with that one. Bledsoe calling his own plays would make me sick to my stomach before every snap. I think drew does a lot better by being handed the ball and pointed ina certain direction.
-
I concur: I think that moulds' value to us is higher than his skill perhaps even because he opens up the offense for a lot of other players. Only a handful of recievers in the league can do the things moulds does. People need to realize this.

I forgot to add that restructing is a reality of the NFL nowdays: it is assumed by the player, his agent and the team most of the time that within a few years of signing a large contract, a restructuring will likely be nessessary. If moulds doesnt want to restructure it will probobly mean 1 of 2 things: either we didnt offer him a good enough deal on teh restructuring(recall a few years ago Randall godfrey restructured with the titans then they proceeded to cut him anyhow, so players are weary of what teams are up to) or 2: he doesnt want to be here anymore: in which case I say "good riddance" even though hes among my favorite players on the team. Still: If I was a betting man, id wager that we'd do a lot better with moulds than without him and Id be willing to be that hes enough of a team player to restructure if asked.

Moulds is still very good. He works best when he sees a lot of balls thrown his way, but he can get cold and drop a few sometimes. Also, he didnt get as many TDs this year because Lee really emerged as a threat as well as the fact that we ran a lot more in teh red zone this year(thank god). I seriously doubt he is in a quick decline, look at what these other WRs have done while being accused of declining skills over the past few years. Moulds is only like 30, some of these guys are older. As for muhammed, hes a very good posession guy, but all in all moulds is significantly better. Muhammed gets to face softy corners in teh NFC and in his division in particular(best corner in the AFC south is probobly Ronde Barber). Stats for other "older" WR's this season: Rod Smith (age 34) : http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=3328 Jimmy Smith(35) : http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=2017 Marvin Harrison(32 & yeah alright hes a little better than moulds, but moulds never had a manning throwing to him): http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=3514 Joe Horn (32: Id say he is most comparable to moulds in terms of skill, but moulds is more physical): http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=3646 Isaac Bruce( 32 ): http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=2914
