Can we please agree to stop decieving ourselves
ROCCEO replied to ROCCEO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
lol, good one. -
People need to stop acting like Orlando Pace and Walter Jones are going to be free agents this offseason. They will get tagged like theyd o every year. Noone will sign them and give up 2 first rounders and 2 second rounders. Even if they were, I doubt the bills would shell out the kind of cash to get them, expect JJ to get a deal worth about what Todd Wade got from the Texans last yaer(5 years, 25 mil, incl. i think about 10-12 mil bonus) give or take. At least 50 different people on this board have suggested signing jones or pace and just letting JJ go, get over it, it's never going to happen.

Id definately take Jeff Reed in a heartbeat over SINdell.
-
listen, I wouldn't exactly call travis a "cancer". He was good back dealt a bad hand and he handled it just fine. Dozens of other players would have blown up and pouted and this and that. Travis just folded under the pressure, not his fault, but he did. THen he got hurt and here we all are talking about what a piece of sh-- he is apparantly. Well, i refuse to downgrade my opinion of henry because without mcgahee he'd still be a more than acceptable option.
-
IF(and thats a big if) we get 2nd for henry, then we should probobly just draft 2 in the 2nd round. A move to the 1st would only be justified if we selected a stud, teh type of guy who could step in and play almsot immediately. Other than that, I agree that OL and CB are good positions to go with. You can never have too many good lineman or secondary players.
-
give it up, the guy scored 4 TDs in only 11 weeks
-
what the hell south park character is that on your avatar. I've watched almsot every episode over the years and consider myself an avid fan but I do not recognize that character, please: enlighten me.

Bills Need More Help Than People Think
ROCCEO replied to Mark VI's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We definately need some of htis stuff, maybe an O-lineman(2 if JJ goes), #3, still kinda up in the air. We all know the obivous. but, here is where i disagree, we need no help at DE because our run stuffing was excellent this year(only 6 rushing Tds given up all year i believe is a record). I will now use this space to discuss how much I love our defense: THe D, gotta love it, they're the best. Now discuss. -
I concur, almost every SB team has had a solid offensive line. On defense the same is true, any team that controls the line of scrimmage wins, it's that simple.

WFAN Fat Mike and Dog are trashing Jim Kelly

Mark VI, are you actually Jeremy Shockey? -
in the restricted free agent market, the pick that a team recieves as compensation is directly proportional to the tender offer issued by the club to the restricted player. For example, a few years ago, the Redskins decided to sign laverneous coles, who was a RFA, so they had to give up their 1st round pick becuase the Jets had tendered an offer of either 1.3 or 1.75 million(cant remember how it goes exactly)

clearly i wish we could take back the attempt and just have someone else kick it ( i bet even moorman could've hit it). Anyhow, I love this article, I've been saying for the past 2 weeks here that Moulds will restructure due to the realities of hte NFL these days and the fact that he is a team player. It has nothing to do with declining skills, but rather the fact that Moulds knows what is best for him and the organization. Smart move by a smart player.
-
In a perfect world, or in madden. But thats about it. IF they let gates go I'm a monkey's uncle.
-
c'mon, I bet it can be done in less time than that!
-
Did anyone else hear this on Moulds?
ROCCEO replied to Mile High's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Evans is definately a lot more skilled than Price. Price was the quintessential pure speed guy, never making clutch grabs in traffic or winning jump balls. Evans is a much more rounded player, but unfortunately his physical shortcomings may never allow him to do everything moulds does. -
sounds like he's headed for the chopping block. It's too bad, despite his many shortcomings I was always a coy fan.
-
great minds think alike.
-
Are you aware that the Bears drafted Rex Grossman in the 1st round 2 years ago, in fact: I think it was the pick before we took willis. Anyhow, he is their guy and they would be better off with him than with Bledsoe since their OL isn't too fantastic. PLus, as far as RB goes: Chicago has Thomas Jones whom they love(theyre letting former ROY A-train go because he's not "the type of back for their system"). A train is a lot more like travis than TJ is, so it seems doubtful they'd have any interest in good ol' trav. I have to side with AD on this one.
-
That would never happen because our team is nowhere near as bad as NYG. As long as JP doesnt do Aaron Brooks-esque things liek toss balls directly backwards to defenders, or throw tons of picks, we'd probobly be ok. He's alreay shown in preseasona nd limited action hs year that he doesnt have that Drew/RJ-like penchant for just sitting there while the defense engulfs him. If we start JP next yer I'd say we would end up somewhere between 8-8 and 11-5

well, the "special" people always get to go to the front of the line and ride the coaster first, so I'd imagine the line for this monstrosity could be quite the disaster itself, let alone the actual coaster.
-
don't go around sayin sh-- like that, otherwise people will take you seriously and be like "MAYBE WE SHOULD TRADE DREW TO SD!!!" Then there'll be that to deal with.
-
I always thought moulds dropped passes on the move in traffic, not because he was AFRAID of getting hit, but rather because he was already thinking about what he was gonna do once the ball is in his hands. A lot of recievers do it, most outgrow it, Moulds has never quite done that. Watch closely, one time hell catch that ball, break a tackle, juke someone and go 20 more yards. The next time moulds will already be thinkin about it and BAM: dropped ball.
-
For a second there I thought you were talking about BILL BRASKY!!! Also, we offerred moulds a contract a few years ago, he's played well. So, he is willing to restructure which means putting the same money he was going to get this year(likely) off to future years, which means theres no guarantee he gets it. So, essentially, unless we offerred hima serious extension, he would be taking a pay cut. Either way: Moulds, lets keep him.
