  1. some guy at fuddruckers tonight was making that same argument to his buddies while i plowed my burger.
  2. They can win some, but it'll be an uphill battle for them. However if Dillon ever gets back to 100% they could still be pretty good. It should be noted however that Dillon lets injuries linger(think 2 years ago), which is when he got the nickname "fantasy-season killin' corey dillon"
  3. I believe you are definately on to something here. But if we really wanted some good karma they'd have female soccer games being played at halftime on the field. At the end of halftime of each game approximately 6 young ladies will have been taken to the ER with torn ACLs. In fact we should up the ante and make sure they're all virgins, because nothing pleases the gods like virgin sacrafice.
  4. I saw that bit on the news the other night and started cracking up, as I had just finished said activity, but that much aside. It was a ridiculous report which I feel affected nobody, and they had no message like "cops are cracking down", what it said to me was "you can smoke pot at the Bills game and not get arrested". So channel 7 just overdramatized nothing for no good reason. Similarly, I did not hear the reports of increased theft from cars at the last game, but I can offer you this: Our car got broken into last week, missing items included : cell phone, car stereo, digital camera and other miscellaneous objects. It was pretty offensive that people would just scour the lot like that after people go into the game....ridiculous.
  5. I think people are being a little too hard on Crowell. He's been semi-effective as a blitzer and made a few nice coverage plays. Where I'm most disappointed in him is at stopping the run, but thats what Spikes is likely best at so it's tough to make a comparison. I'd say that at this point Crowell is better than Posey, but I don't know how big of a reach that is to say. People just need to remember that he's not TKO, and because of that he will never be appreciated for the good things he does, but rather lamented for those which he doesn't do so well. THe kid is young and has plenty of time to improve. At the end of the season we'll have a much better idea of what this kid really has.
  6. Not a bad article. A little hard on Donahoe, but then again who isn't around here. He's a prickly GM but when he makes most of his moves I tend to agree with him and sometimes when I've second-guessed a move I've been proved wrong(more often than not). Bad things happen in the NFL. Remember right now that we are Bills fans, not Vikings fans, so it could be worse. I think his Oline changes were interesting since I proposed to very same changes saturday night while sitting around with my buddies. I don't think I'm a genius for it and Im sure the suggestion has been made by many on the board, I wouldnt know because ive barely been able to check it this semester.
  7. I'm coming out of the woodwork to say this: Here are the positives that I took from it(I refuse to discuss negatives, too many and too obvious). 1-No Turnovers(although several near-turnovers) 2-Minimal penalties.........and thats about it....also Vincent looks like the real deal at safety.
  8. I will be there in my seat for the year, 117 row 9 with 2 of my friends
  9. THis thread is a friggin joke, dont take it seriously.
  10. I dont think they'll be that bad. My friends and I were going to get seats in the same section(also on account of the poor college student factor) until one of us couldn't come up with enough cash and we decided to switch at the last minute when they told us they could move us up. If I were you I'd still be ultra-pumped because I have sat there before(pats game last year) and you get a good view of the game, the only problem is an inability to see the jumbo tron.
  11. Where do you have to go to get these tickets?
  12. My friends Tim and Thomas went to camp today and they said that Peters was pretty impressive while working at LT with the 2nd team. Said he looked like a superb athlete. Also said that Bennie Anderson is enormous(but we already knew this). One other note: They said Ritzman looked good in some drill which focused on an outside pass rush vs either a tackle or a TE.
  13. his contract year......
  14. Definately, the Rome show used to be fun and insteresting from time to time but I think the power of Rome's ego surpassed the power of the show a while ago. Also, he acts like he gets the real deal and asks hardball questions, but the last time he probobly did anything of the sort was cheap-shot insults on Jim Everitt 10 years ago(although classic footage). To me the show seems so recycled, guest comes on, Rome talks about him a little before, a little after, takes some calls and everyone kisses the guest's behind for about a half hour(hour if the day is slow). However, theres only one sportstalk staion in town and thats what they play, so I continue to listen on a semi-regular basis. I don't care for the whole "clones" concept either.
  15. Fortunately i did not invest in a bledsoe jersey but I did see a very funny peerless price jersey the other day. A guy was walking down main st. in fairport with an old price jersey which he altered to say "2 Pricey", I got a good laugh out of it then thanked the football gods for helping donahoe turn that turd into Willis McGahee.
  16. Evans on offense, if he played for the jets you'd never stop hearing about him. Defense: Milloy is underrated by many I think, but Terrence McGee is often referred to as a weakness when I think he's played very well at times and is only going to get better at the position. Moulds is the most underrated by many on this board("Moulds is almost done", "we should've cut him "etc. etc.) but the same argument that was made for milloy can be made for moulds, without him our offense went nowhere. Granted, we have McGahee now, but I still think Moulds does a lot more than just catch passes which is why he is so valuable. On the same note he is also the most overated by many. Thought provoking but not too surprising.
  17. Well, I guarantee you that any day Im not working while camp is oging on I will be there. I will be more than happy to report back my observations and if I take any good pictures I will be sure to post those as well.
  18. "Screwed" with Norm MacDonald and Dave Chappelle always cracks me up. same story with "Zoolander". I agree that "Blow" was pretty good too. and finally I'll say "Saving Silverman" as well. I usually get roped into at least 15 minutes of it if i see it on TV.
  19. Well, TM is nowhere near 6'2 or 210, and I remember reading the predraft magazines and information after we'd made our picks and McGee wasn't in a lot of those draft previews. Perhaps it was said that he would make a better safety but I think that since he went to such a small school that he slipped under a lot of teams' radar.
  20. are you serious? Carter is one of the fastest DE's in madden he's like a 78 speed.(faster than most linebackers in the game). Engleberger does suck in madden though. But in real life Carter is pretty good.
  21. I hate to be a wise-ass, but isn't he going to be a sideline reporter?
  22. I too have quickly become a fan of hte show. I'd like to know when the 4th season comes out on DVD.
  23. Thats hilarious/awesome/appaling all at the same time.
  24. Brown is slightly injury prone, usually he suffers only minor dings, but he's still young so its hard to tell if he'll be able to shake that label. However, He is a very talented runner when healthy. The guy was my 3rd RB in fantasy last year and my favorite to watch every week until Willis Broke out(my other was Edge). Either way, Travis can bring a lot to the table in Jax or Tenn.
  25. Let me guess, there weren't any media personnel around, were there?
