  1. Trade down if you get the right deal, unless it's Leinart, in which case you have to seriously consider drafting him
  2. I would like to request a link to this signing that I can't find anywhere, please, anybody
  3. http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nfl first year is supposedly high cap # so that the hawks won't be able to match it.
  4. Yeah we shoulda franchised him, remember that he was SOOOOOOO good that at one point some of us were lobbying for him to try his hand at guard.
  5. Was it to an underage girl?
  6. Well, I'd probobly rank my wish list as follows: 1-OG-Hutchinson(unrealistic) 2-DT-Rocky Bernard(perfect fit for the new scheme) 3-OT-Jon Runyan (Could lead to a line reshuffle that gets it done) 4-OLB-Julian Peterson(and cut posey) 5-OLB-Akin Ayodele(see above) 6-SS-Tank Williams 7-DE-Darren Howard(overpriced and risky, but a guaranteed upgrade)
  7. Due to years of experience with a friend of mine ive learned you can never truly rely on someone named Shaeffer or similar. <jokes>
  8. i love it. Say what you want about Mawae. The guy has been the best center in the game for years now and even if hes lost a step he's still way better than whatever we've got on the line. He brings a great veteran leadership presence to the line at hte most important position to have it. plus he's familiar with all of our division rivals already. Furthermore, the guy is flat out nasty, the kind of nastiness we've been lacking. Outside of a zoist OT this is the best move we could probobly make in my opinion. Mawae seems to me to be a class act and a loyal player who takes pride in his performance. Hopefully that can rub off on some of the other meatheads we've got out there. With that said: Bentley is obviously a better long-term option but its hard to resist the type of kcik in the pants to our OL that adding Mawae will give us.
  9. Sorry to post a big fat LAMP during such an important week. I was wondering if any posters here were from Nashville or the surrounding area and furthermore, what would they suggest to do or where to go while in Nashville. Im traveling there next week during spring break with my girlfriend to visit her brother and his wife. We've already decided to go to the Nashville Zoo, visit bicentennial park and a few other things while we're there. ALso been considering the 70 mile trip to lynchburg to see the Jack Daniel's distillery. Does anyone know if it's worth it? what other fun things are there to do? What are good places to eat? Im not a huge country music fan but ive been told to at least visit opryland while there, also is there any good places in town to catch either live blues or live standup comedy? I can't wait to leave the bleak march weather of western new york behind for a week and venture into the red states. It should be a fun adventure. Thank you to all who respond because this is the first time ive ever driven on a long trip with minimal plans.
  10. Im gonna go out on a limb and say OG Andre Gourode http://proxy.espn.go.com/nfl/fa?playerId=3565 or the A-Train, anthony thomas Also, did anyone else notice Travis on the espn.com free agent list? http://proxy.espn.go.com/nfl/fa?positionId=9
  11. Maybe Marv will bring back Pete Metzelaars
  12. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?section=nfl&id=2352822 Another guy Id like to see us sign who i cant recall many mentioning.... Rocky Bernard http://proxy.espn.go.com/nfl/fa?playerId=3674 and non-insider linki http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=3674
  13. LOL, thats some funny stuff mr. I really think marv is bending over backwards to keep moulds on the team, I dont wholly disagree w it
  14. "the jon voight car is no more"
  15. disagree, Starks hasnt been anything since he was in Baltimore & is injured more often than Griffey Jr. Always overrated and sill is, id rather develop young guys on the cheap.
  16. He may be the best guard in the league though, certainly top 5
  17. Does this make him unavailable to us, since we signed spikes. Im pretty sure we cant transition guys, but can we sign other teams transition players?
  18. Agreed, Ngata is rated like 9-11th overall. He'd be a slight reach i think. highly drafted DTs rarely do well as rookies(D. Robertson, J. Sullivan just to name two). While ends often flourish, Williams has it all. Him and D'Brick are the guys who excite me most, but if Ngata fulfills his potential, he could really be an impact player a la kris jenkins. damn draft, every year it drives me nuts
  19. Tennessee again displays the fiscal irresponsibility that got them in their current mess. Never guarantee more than 30% of a contract & never guarantee 15 million to a guy who has persistent injury problems. Until frther notice i'm calling this the official Billy Fucillo HUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGE gamble of the year. The lines are treacherous, injury prone guys rarely last long there. Another reason why Schobel is a god. When was the last time he missed a game?
  20. Alright, I'm gonna weigh in on this one... First and foremost recall that most of these guys are in the last year of their contracts and will be gone next year anyhow. Furthermore we should have a decent amount of cap room so we can avoid throwing our players in a mass-grave of free agency. Vincent....Keep him unless we get some type of stud via other means or Rashad Baker is the real deal. Vincent is a key veteran and a smart player who leads by example. Milloy...Same deal, last year of his contract, no viable replacement lined up. Still a key player in our D, a fantastic blitzer and good run-stopper. Remember how sh------- the D is without him. Fletcher....Again, we're not in any type of cap hell, he's a solid player who plays hard but is in no way a prototype. Gets emotional and makes some bonehead plays but the tenacity outweighs it. Fletcher will also benefit from the return of Takeo. Posey...I'm sick of hearing "within our scheme" bullcrap in relation to Posey. A physical specimen with limited athleticism, limited tenacity, limited effectiveness. He has to go, UNLESS we switch to a 3-4, but I don't think thats altogether that likely. Adams...Keep him, big D lineman are far too valuable. Especially ones who when properly motivated can jump the snap count like Adams. Still one of the quickest first steps for a DT in the league. I think not having Mularkey and Jerry Grey around would do a lot for him. He needs help down there though. Moulds...10.8 million i sa lot of money. However he's the oldest Bill and despite the way the end of last year went, I think we try to keep him around. He definately showed at the end of the eyar that he can still play at a pretty high level. Rarely will you encounter a reciever who is as dedicated to his craft and is as much a specimen as moulds is. Mike Williams ... him or moulds likely going to have to go. If i have my choice I keep moulds because you knojw he can produce. WE still have no idea what we've got in MW, is it in the 2004 MW or the 2005 version? We just don't have any clue. If he doesnt take some type of dramatic paycut he's gone. McGahee...Toughest decision of the all of them... If marv can keep him happyu uin buffalo, then we sign him. It just seemed that once our record got really bad that he was playing not to get hurt, which with most players would bother me but I get it with Willis. Something tells me that if we were contending(or had any type of blocking) that Willis would've sprung 1500+ on us last year. Clements....Franchise him and work from there. Premium corners are worth too much in this league. Let alone a top 10 talent with every raw tool you can imagine and a nose for the ball.
  21. Roles not withstanding, I believe Crowell to be a better football player than Posey any way you look at it. Posey is surely a specimen but it does little for him on the field while crowell is always all over the place doin stuff. If he improved in run support he'd be a very good LB. As it is he is above average. Bills fans are spoiled by having seen so many good LBs over the years that we forget what its like to field a squad of losers(see 2001). 2 million per year is peanuts. Crowell is active on the field AND in the stat sheet, which is some people's only frame of reference. To be honest I think that Crowell should look for a new agent because he was about a year away from making at least 10 mil over 4 years provided he didnt get injured. This deal is a steal for the Bills as I doubt cutting Crowell would ever cost us more than 1.5 in dead cap. this is clearly a case of a guy being better than his madden rating. One of the few bright spots on a crappy Defense this year. If he can learn to be a run stopper, hes a stud.
  22. Yeah, Khalif Barnes.
  23. so seriously, who are we going to pick?
