  1. Wiggins was only good when they had culpepper really. Can be effective at times but isnt really the type of guy the bills need but we could use him for cheap. As far as O'niel goes, he struggled in Denver and was temporarily converted to WR, then traded to teh Bengals where he has been hot/cold as I understand. THe guy is an athlete and loves to gamble to try to make the big play, so thats what you're dealing with on him. For the right price he could be good in a cover 2 IMO. However, its likely that he'll probobly be seeking more than he is truly worth.
  2. I think its unwise to believe one can run a 2-fullback system with a head coach named anything other than Belichik
  3. I think that if they liked him in San Diego then they never woulda traded him to the vikings in the first place
  4. show SHELTON the damned door! Hes over the hill, it happens to fullbacks around that age, remember how Sam Gash was the 2nd time around when we had him....not the same guy. I was pumped last year when we signed ALan Ricard, but thenw e cut him during camp.
  5. I agree about posey, although at that time anyone would've been an upgrade. I believe that he came in and replaced Eddie Robinson....... Also, I dont know how you can dismiss columbo like that, he should come real cheap and I dont agree that Pennington needs more time, so why not bring in a vet to compete. Its not like Columbo is Willie Anderson or Maurice Williams, hes just some schmo at this point.....but a useful schmo.
  6. For the record: I like stallworth. Since he came out of TN Ive always believed in him and thought he was pretty good, but inconsistent QB play and injuries have served to slow him down. Not as great as advertised but an absolute burner and a player who will surprise you with the tough catch every now and then. I dont think he is the type of WR we should look for, hes jut another burner in the Davis/Price/Evans/Parrish mold. What I think we could use is a big ol guy like Drew Bennett, or some other veteran tall go-get-it guy who comes a little cheaper. However, if we had evans and stallworth it would be deep ball heaven.
  7. I dont think that we have any use at all for Rod Hood. Hes kind of garbage and IMO K Thomas would be a more adequate starter. As far as McIntosh, did anyone watch the dolphins last year? their line wasnt very good, so signing one of theirs might be a step in the wrong direction. My offseason prediction is....MARC COLUMBO(ORT): Former first round pick out of BC by the bears in 01, sufferred a dislocated knee and subsequent rehab. Cut by bears, signed by Cowboys last year, starts most of the year and does pretty well. Supposedly a hard worker, perfect Marv Levy type guy. Did I mention he's about 6'8" 325 lbs?
  8. Now didn't have come up with some nickname for himself while he was at TN, like "the future" or something like that?
  9. Whatever it takes, take out loans if need be, run up credit card bills etc.
  10. Tough question: Pats & Dolphins: obvious Eagles: Old roommate was an eagles fan, plus they think they're ultra hardcore or something and they always act like theyve been jipped repeatedly. Jaguars: Something about them bothers me Colts: Same Titans: Oh, so many reasons.
  11. It's buffalo, today is wednesday. The weather could do just about anything in the next few days. I'm holding out for snow too. On a personal note, this has probobly been the luckiest week of my life in terms of obtaining tickets out of thin air. First my best friend called me to say he got free tix to the game as a xmas gift, that was followed the 2 days later when my mother (Michigan Alum) called me, and rattled me with the words, "HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO GO TO THE ROSE BOWL?" So now I'm going to Pasadena over New Years. Never been to LA before, totally stoked.
  12. I was unaware we were talking non-NFL: In that case: University of Michigan and the New York Yankees followed by the Sabres and Knicks(although I cant even watch them anymore, Isaih Thomas and previous management has mangled them beyond reason.)
  13. .....and request job applications.
  14. #2 to the bills is easily the Chargers, they're fun to watch on O and D, plus I have 3 of them on my fantasy team. After that it gets a little muddy: Fantasy Football allegiences have me hating the saints, and unfortunately when Romo was playing good I hate to admit i enjoyed watching the Cowboys. I'll stick with them even though sunday sucked: they have a decent D that makes plays on occasion, they also have an exciting QB, good playcalling(most of the time), good 1-2 RB punch(love Marion Barber) and a good WR trio(say what you want about TO, seems that every time he signs on with a team they have become super-bowl contenders).
  15. Why is noone bringing up the fact that our "star" RB was seen on the sideline of last weekends game scarfing down a sandwich. Now theres a player befitting of wearing a buffalo uniform. Although, I almost had a heart attack because I was laughing too hard to breathe when they cut to him on the sidelines munching on a big ol' bite of it. I can never EVAH recall seeing a pro athlete eating a sandwich in the middle of a game. Its absurd. Side note: did anyone else notice hte Combos ad during the sunday night game: tagline Combos:What your mom would feed you if you were a man.
  16. Gumbel is an (expletive deleted) idiot. He was sitting there with like 10 minutes left on the clock saying , "the ravens still think they have time to run". Collinsworth responded with something to the effect of, "they do. 10 minutes is an eternity in the NFL with a 13 point lead." I agree with the previous poster, he knows little about football. He'd make an ultra-crappy coach. Has anyone ever seen his show "real sports"? I watched it once and it had this big feature about the homeless world cup, where homeless guys get flown to europe to compete against one another in soccer. Ridiculous stuff.

  18. Truly an awesome game. Probobly the best one ive ever personally been to. Section 101, Row 17. and yes, my hand(s) is/are killing me. Next year I think I'm gonna get season tickets again, even if only 1 game out of 8 is like that itd still be worth it
  19. I was perusing the injury report and foudn this: Questionable: CB Jason David(tooth) I thought it was one of the funnier injury reports ive seen, does anyone recall last year when Isaac Bruce was hurt, on NFL Network when they showed the Rams injury report it said : Isaac Bruce(Great Toe), I always wondered why it said that. Are they referring to the big toe or is "great toe" some type of ailment, like plantar fasciitis(or as my boss calls it, "facetious pancreatis")
  20. I dont even have to look at the other games, thats gold. But my number one game this week is Baltimore at home vs Oakland, it's an absolute lock. I would say Denver is a good bet this week, but they were semi-anemic last wek and even though KC is down right now never underestimate a rivalry game like that. Other quality picks this week include: Chicago(at home against Detroit), Cincinatti(home v. Cleveland), San Diego(at home v Titans).
  21. I think this is a common thing for Bills fans. The night before the draft I had a dream that we picked some guy that Id never heard of with our first pick(did I inwardly know we were going to pick Whitner or some other suprise?), but he was giant, an absolute beast(or McCargo?). Either way, it was wierd and my friends blamed me for it foreshadowing hte draft(which at the time was ruined in their opinion with the selection of Whitner).
  22. I gave him a dollar!
  23. I love this draft: Bunkley: Say what you will if anyone watched him at the combine thats all you need to say. When I saw him i went "holy crap" this guy is 300 lbs, chisled and can move like THAT. Seeing is believing. Ngata would be alright but to me Bunkley seems like a football player and a guy who can workout with the be4st of them. THe knee thing scares me a little but in general its hard to beat a penetrating DT esp one who can rack up 9 sacks and 20+ tackles for a loss at the college level. Lutui?: This guy is supposed to be an absolute monster on the OL. A prototype that teams can rely on for years. Immediate starter. Stovall: Yes we have lots of WRS, but we dont have that 1 red zone jump ball threat. Stovall is that guy. As for Dumervil: dont know too much about him, but we need DL, I think we should pick another DT for insurance. We need to load up on DL and OL obviously. THat being said this draft would be pretty cloise to ideal, although it would be nice to trade down a few slots and still get bunkley or huff.
  24. Anyone ever read Rashad Baker's pre-draft write-ups? he was targeted as a major boom-or-bust prospect who they said had a nose for the ball, aggressive hitter and good speed.
  25. I dont think he got much if ANY PT for us last year. Isnt that the guy we picked up off the Iggles practice squad? They have a knack for finding good guys late so perhaps hes alright, but the early indicators are that he snakes since our line was crappy last year and if you cant get into a bad rotation then what does that say.
