  1. Das Boot!!!
  2. Yeah I mean because theres teaching a RB is reaaaaaaal hard....."here ya go son, theres the hole, run through it....hard" Plus, I guess I was wrong before and I now realize that we have a ton of depth at linebacker!
  3. Nice fav....who btw....was better than everyone's darling, Henry Jones.
  4. Least: Mike Pucillo Most: Thurman
  5. Uh oh another chris brown thread? The haters will be arriving in 9....8.....7....6....
  6. I agree totally I guess Itd be good to have a guy of that caliber if Shaud Williams were actually Plan A right now but hes clearly not. Rhodes is average, every year 6-10 backs come out of the draft on that talent-level. Chris brown is a better runner than rhodes, if only he had some toughness.
  7. I am in this same line of thinking that. That is, we have to look at each position and assess whether we have decent starters there, if not, do we have guys with the potential to become starters? I believe we have starting caliber talent or at least potential at every position except LB, where even if Ellison turns out to bve solid in year 2 we have inadequate depth in the event of injury. I would say our needs go something like LB>RB>CB>DT>FB>WR>G>backup S ALso, RB is an easy hole to fill relative to other positions. I would love it if we could grab michael bush in the 2nd though.
  8. Has this been substantiated or just a joke? Also, Droughns is garbage. Another product of the Broncos system, remember when we brought olandis gary in? Let him sign with some crappy team.
  9. Yeha Levi Jones, then right after him the colts picked freeney which at the time was absolute chaos. Also, if i got years confused check the time i posted that topic, I apologize for any inaccuracies Im glad peerless didnt stay in buffalo for many reasons, one of them being that at the end of the year our offense truly had been starting to tail off. Oh, how I do not miss ol' killdrive at all.
  10. If this were to happen I can think of few things I would look forward to more than thinking about Willis and Pacman rolling down Ol Hickory Boulevard in an escalade with a garbage bag containing 81 Grand on their way to pick up Albert Haynesworth
  11. they're delicious.....really(huge in europe too) Also, as far as larry johnson, hindsight is 20/20, in 2001 we couldve drafted Levi Brown, but he was considered a reach by the bengals at 10 i believe. We could play that game all day. Portis was a 2nd round pick in 01 that we couldve picked instead of Josh Reed, wouldnt that have been excellent? What if we hadn't traded for Rob Johnson......the list goes on
  12. I think this could be a good idea. I think wed have to compensate them though, right? but itd bve like a 6th rounder. Id rather draft one of these new young big guys if we have a shot at one of them in the 2nd or 3rd and other needs have been filled already.
  13. DO IT! Get him or justin griffith, I feel obtaining a vet FB should be a priority. If we are that committed to the run game it makes sense to have an adequate fullback. I dunno, theres probobly some undrafted practice squad fb somewhere that is pretty good.
  14. I just read this post on the Pats Board, after we were called idiots for "trading a good back to replace him with a crappy back(dillon or rhodes)" " Would these be the same idiots that people laughed at during the draft? The same idiot who's picks worked out? The same idiots who put together a better than expected team last season and are now repairing their area of greatest weakness? If that owner/GM combination doesn't die in the next couple of years, the Bills could very well be the team challenging New England for the division title."
  15. I guess it washes, at the time trading for bledsoe certainly didnt seem like a bad move. Plus, the point is that if we hadnt done that, its highly unlikely that peerless wouldve put up the numbers he did, therefore we would not have been able to trade him for a 1st.
  16. In 2002, the bills have no number 1 pick, because the year before they had traded for Drew Bledsoe. This move lead to Peerless Price's breakout season. Rather than lose PP in free agency, the buffalo bills decide to place the franchise tag on him. Eventually Price is traded to Atlanta for their first round pick that year. The bills are now back in the first round. Shcoking everybody, they select Willis McGahee, a gimpy Miami RB. Prior to his injury WM was slated to go no lower than #3 overall to Houston(if not #2 to teh Lions). McGahee sits out all of 2003(although I believe he was on the active roster after coming off the PUP list, but either never dressed or never played). Forward to 2007. Peerless flops in Atlanta and Dallas. He returns to Buffalo in an attempt to salvage his career(so far, not too bad). In hindsight that Peerless trade was highway robbery. So we have this "problem", who is essentially a glorified gift from the football Gods so long as he doesnt singlehandedly implode the franchise. Meanwhile his departure appears imminant. Baltimore is ready to cough up a 2nd round pick for him(and possibly more). If this trade goes down , then over a 5 year period we made a deal where we would lose Peerless Prices services in exchange for approximately 3000 decent(sometimes exciting) yards of RB AND Baltimores 2007 2nd and 5th round picks. Or more simply,. If we get these extra picks in will be entirely in part because the Atlanta Falcons once liked Peerless Price to the point that they traded a first round pick for him. and with that being said, despite once being a major willis supporter(as recently as january), I would highly support this move by Marv & co.
  17. Id rather have Turner than Betts. Betts got his yards in the NFC and it took him 4 years to really do ANYTHING. Michael Turner, on the flip side, earned his yards in the middle of a playoff race in a heated division. Granted, san diego did have one hell of an offensive line. I dont know though, I feel as though Chris Brown will be a fine stopgap guy until we can sign or draft a new feature back. Id rather nab Michael Bush in the 2nd round.
  18. The wheels are in motion
  19. Duckett never had a chance in ATL< when he was their short yardage guy he was a TD machine. Plus for all you who love workout warriors, DUckett ran a 4.45 40 time at 255 lbs. While not the 2nd coming of Jerome Bettis he does have value.
  20. 12:Patrick Willis(I am NOT a willis guy, I like Okoye but our need at LB is just so great) 43:Daymeion Hughes( Would be first rounder likely if not for poor 40, which doesnt matter much in a cover 2) 61:Brian Leonard(We need a FB and hes the best prospect out there, may need practice blocking plus he can double as a runner) 74: Soliai DT(Never hurts to have big bodies) Now, if we were to take Bush in the 2nd Id be ecstatic about it. Either way its def to early to speculate about whos gonna be around where.
  21. At time he definatley was. Remember that teams stacked against willis last year while Dillon got to play behind NEw Englands' line w/ brady at the helm.
  22. True . Their window for another championship is closing, rather quickly I might add. Look at their stars, how many of them are over 30? hmmm, Ray Lewis, Trevor Pryce, Steve McNair, Jon Ogden, Derrick Mason, and Rolle/McAlister arent getting any younger either. So therefore a 2nd round pick isnt that ridiculous because they are investing it with the idea that they will reep a return THIS YEAR.
  23. ZERO HEART? ??? Listen, I think Willis is as big a dumbass as the next guy. I dont know that he has ZERO heart, hes a bit selective, but its hard to say that about a guy who came back from such an injury and got to the point where he is currently at. I bet 90% of the people on this board would never walk quite right ever again if they suffered that injury, let alone carry a football 250 times a year.
  24. I wonder if we could bring in Stephen Davis and Michael Westbrook at the same time for a look. now THAT could get interesting.
  25. What about the guy who almost creamed himself when he found out chris houston played RB in high school?
