  1. lol, very nice. I believe you meant that the bills always get shat on.
  2. He'll play whatever position the team that drafts him asks him to play. Perhaps that would give us the option or running the option but then wed need an option qb, which screws us if we have to option to an audible.
  3. they make me mad enough to BURN THAT MOTHERFer DOWN! I have dish network so i am still subjected to anti bills BS on there, although honestly i dont think its as bad as espn.
  4. Few bills defensive ends have had such a fan following without having accomplished so much, unless of course you count that old fan section, Kendrick's Officers Seriously though, I like Hargrove
  5. Astrobot, Normally you are more on top of it than this. They run a GW 4-3(46) and they just signed greggos boy. They need DL help bad and other than that they could pick laron landry if he were there to pair with sean taylor. I think Atlanta is a bigger risk to take Willis, for one, but they seem poised to go DL , OL or S unless they make a play for calvin johnson. Hopefully Miami will blow their pick hard allowing another top prospect to be on the board when we draft. I dont really know who else could bone us on this one.
  6. A franchise back is only valuable when healthy.
  7. Put me on board, unless peterson falls to 12. Then you pick him and scramble, even though if AP were still there and WIllis were still there and we took willis, id still be happy.
  8. File this thread under the "wishful thinking" category.
  9. Im saving this post because if that happens I will be deeply depressed. But now if it happens I will instead come away deeply disturbed if not entertained. and can ND fans please stop pimping darius walker. Its uncalled for, hes a glorified shaud williams.
  10. Im thinking Preston sucks and the only way he starts is if langston is RT and Whittle blows goats. BTW The responses dontmatch teh thread title. What is going on?
  11. Initially I thought this thread was dedicated to Eddie Robinson, coach on the field/alleged LB.
  12. Sounds like BS to me. What are "flight issues"? they could be one of a few things: 1-Weather: implausable, the radar around tennessee is totally clear. 2-Airline mishap: possible but unlikely. 3-"my agent thinks he can sqeeze some more juice out of these guys":LIKELY 4-"if we miss the flight itll look like something is getting done sot hat when I do get to buffalo theres a sense of urgency and depseration on their behalf"-MORE LIKELY
  13. Who said this and when? Isnt this entity aware that he is our new golden god here on TBD?
  14. I wish this post weren't a lock to be forgotten.
  15. I wish we could hindight draft 2000, wait, and 2002, oh, and 2005 as well.but its too soon to tell just how 2005 turned out No its not, TD and co. chumped it....bigtime. If it werent for them pulling a bunch of starters out of 01(all of whom are gone now except schobel), 03 and 04, we'd be (robert) royally screwed. What if teh bills could draft those years over, who would they have taken. Im guess in 02 they woulda went with ol' dwight freeney or John Henderson. In 2000 that whole draft was pretty crappy IIRC, but anyone can do better than the steaming piles that lined up in bills unis for the first time that summer(flowers, tillman, moore etc).
  16. Seriously why cant our old crotchety owner line the seats with our asses by playing the same cap as the rest of the league instead of trying to further line his obviously already wealthy pockets. I hate to say it but ol ralph needs to sh-- or get off the pot I think. Its his fault the team took such a nosedive in teh first place(his inability to coexist with Polian, inarguably one of the best personnel men ever). Damn it all to hell anyway. Sadly, Im willing to tolerate this nonsense for as long as the bills stay in buffalo.
  17. Plus SD plays in the AFC West, not the easiest division to run on, not like its the NFC West.
  18. Can a hole be filled with another hole? Also, to whomever said that signing him is better than wasting a 2nd day pick. Its better if he signs on the cheap, can play in a pinch and helps mentor younger players. If its not like that, its better to take a chance and draft some safetey in the 6th or 7th round. You act like drafting a safety is a bad way to spend a day 2 pick Review our recent drafts, we've produced few starters from day 2(McGee.....oh wait theres pretty much noone else), similarly our other late rounders havent even produced. Therefore, its hard to waste picks when most of them turn out to be burger-flippers and paperboys anyhow. Also, safety is one of the few positions where value is routinely found on day 2. What do m,ost of the recent super bowl winners have in common? Young secondary depth.
  19. Barlow had his chance and he blew it. Then he blew it in New York. It is therefore safe to say he blows.
  20. Yes, plenty. Parrish was an all-pro caliber safety playing next to mike brown in chicage. After signing with san fran he was solid but his play deteriorated after a few years. While no longer a star, perhaps not even starting caliber, there is no doubt he would play backup on this team. That said, I would welcome the signing because our safety depth is weak and we would have a veteran backup to help mentor the youngsters. If we dont sign him, oh well, just gonna have to draft a 2nd day safety i guess. If this report is true then my guess is that we will be signing him "on the cheap" which will make everybody happy.
  21. I know nothing of that, unless it was some provision of the trade. Id assume that tendering him to an RFA contract would qualify. Either that or you misunderstood the situation somehow. If hargrove signs elsewhere the team he signs with would be forced to compensate the bills to the tune of a 3rd round pick. I agree that it is ridiculous especially since some of the bonuses counting against the cap this year for us could have already been payed out. On the upside it means were not going to do something completely retarded. Also, that strategy is for this year only as of now as far as I know, nothing has been said proclaiming it as our strategy in future years.
  22. Smart position I know exactly what Im talking about. Turner couldnt possibly be asking for more than starting backs have been getting the past 2 offseasons (4-5 years - 23-28 million with 12-16 guaranteed). As you said if we drafted AP then wed still be sinking 10 mllion in guaranteed money into an unproven commodity, plus we would be using the 12th pick while we have other needs. Obtaining turner for a 2nd and change would allow us to get a high-caliber player while addressing different needs in the first(LB, WR, CB etc). Everyone here is getting all wrapped up in the contract terms of this whole thing. The bills can go over their "cash to cap" if they want. Itd be easy to argue that the initial investment in quality players could produce significant returns both on the field and at the ticket office. I understand its important for teh bills to be fiscally responsible in todays NFL landscape. The bottom line of this argument is either you think turner will be a stud or a dud. Theres little more to it than that.
