This is true, but at the same time I think TG is a very smart businessman and may realize that going to the playoffs and possibly the Superbowl in the NFL would be much more lucrative than it woould be in the NHL. He would definitely get rewarded better by building a Superbowl team over a Stanley Cup team. It's just the spending part that he would have to get over.

I remember years ago when a one John Rigas said something very similar after the Sabres lost in the Stanley Cup Finals to Dallas (on a no-goal by the way ). He said he would go out and get the tools neccessary to win the Stanley Cup. Well shortly thereafter Mr. Rigas was in deep dookie with the law and had to sell the Sabres so this never occurred and now Mr. Rigas sits in a Federal Pen answering to Bubba. I think the only way Ralph helps build a Superbowl contender is if he is accussed for some illegal matters and is forced to sell to someone who is willing to do what it takes to bring a Superbowl team to Buffalo. We can only hope!!!!

I also agree that Poz was, well Poz again. I saw him whiff bad on a tackle in the first half. It almost looked like he alligator armed the guy, as if he didn't want to break his arm again. And speaking of whiffs, Maybin had the grandaddy of all whiffs today. I can't remember when it happened, but it was after he had rushed the QB and I think Schaub dumped it off to the RB and Maybin after running all over had the angle on the RB 15 yards downfield. He went to tackle the guy and just waved at him him as he blew by along the Bills sidelines. Seems like Maybin still has no clue how much faster the NFL is than college.

Did you happen to see the first half today??? Two TO's to stop Houston drives, and they were playing stout stopping Houston on 3rd downs. Like apus said, the offense does nothing to help the D out and many of the offensive players were bringing this up in the locker room after the game.

Fewell seems to be getting this defense to be playing above their heads with so many injuries and the Bills crappy TOP. When the D starts to look bad is after they have been on the field so long. No defense can continue to play well when they are on the field for 2/3 or more of the game. Over 39 minutes for them today. April on the other has had his special teams regress IMO. I attribute this to DJ's retarded and lacksidasical coaching ways rubbing off on him. It's all I can think of, either that or April really wants out of Buffalo and just doesn't give a steaming pile anymore.

Bingo!!!! All of a sudden the o-line sucks and couldn't help Fitz out today. Apparently they were all headed to the pro-bowl when Edwards was in there, but Trent's poor play ruined that for them.

The biggest problem with the fake punt was, they took the ball out of the best players hands on that play. Moorman should have kept it himself. Once he flipped the ball off Houston was all over it. Why even have a fake punt that takes so long to develop? That was one of the stupidest plays in a list of many in the DJ era. And if you're gonna run a fake punt, do it in the 2nd qtr when it's 4th and short on Houston's 40 when you have the lead. That would catch Houston more off guard. This team is so ass backwards. Dick Jauron coaches not to win.
