Lovely Rita, meter maid, scooted south of us. Rain like a fire hose and gusty wind but not much else. The middle keys got pounded with U.S. 1 being cut in a few places by storm surge.
She's going to get bitchy as she crosses the Gulf.
I think the network showed the cheerleaders a bit more then usual. That was a plus.
I sort of slipped in front of my son when I expressed my appreciation of the Bucs cheerleaders.
I'm sure it's a vagary of scheduling but why have all the Tampa games been IN Tampa?
How 'bout we scgedule a game against the Bucs in Buffalo say.....in late December.
Everyone was wondering how the weather would effect the Bills. I think it played a part in running out of gas in the second half. I think playing down here early in the season is a tremendous advantage for the home team.Case in point, the Dolfelons blew up the Broncos in the second half, then went up to NY and got drilled.
Listening to the radio here you would get the impression the Felons have already won Sunday and are headed for the superbowl.
Oddly there are a lot of BRAND NEW Dolphin shirts showing up around town.
So no, I don't think the weather will make a damn bit of difference Sunday. Sorry, Bucs fans.

It does make a difference. If you've never experienced the heat and humidity here it's hard to believe. Lets hope the Bills score often and early and dont fade in the second half.
If you have roof turbines take them down, if you have shutters they should be up. We went through Katrina when it was Cat.1 and the news said "no big deal'. Wrong. 80 mph wind will do more damage than you think.
I'm sure you have everything else done that you can, so batten down the hatches and bunker up
Here's a guy that's a steroid poster child and the announcers last night, and yesterday lept mentioning how TO is 'sensitive' and had his 'feelings hurt'.
So, what, every 28 days TO has to take a couple of days off now?
