  1. I thought oline played fine today. Its hardto run block when one of the top defenses in the nfl is stacking the box. I agree wholeheartedly about the defensive line however.
  2. What is wrong with the oline? All things considered, I thought they played fine today.
  3. That is mostly what im talking about. Almost like the refs were trying to stick to the bills just cause they could. That one PI near the end on whoever was playing evans was so obvious it made me think that ed hoculey was on the take or something. Its hard to beat both chargers and refs in one day.
  4. Good post. I understand that officials are going to make bad calls. But there is a difference between that and making yourself a part of the game. The refs were definitely in the spotlight today and that is the worst place you can be as an official.
  5. Schobel opens things up for other players by drawing double teams. He is a real assett.
  6. I disagree. This was the biggest screw job this season and as long as i can remember. Just my opinion
  7. These officials we horrible. i dont like to complain about the refs. But it really seemed like the nfl didn't want buffalo to win today's game.
  8. anyone worried about gore's leg bruises?
  9. That is why you must prioritize
  10. we dont have to stop LT at all. We just need to prevent him from ripping off the 30-40 yard gamebreakers. This can be done and has been done a couple times this year. And the bills have the defensive personnel to do it.
  11. The falcons need a new coach. Mora doesn't know what he is doing. I dont blame vick for being frustrated.
  12. Yeah you may be right. But i don't really care either way. The media has kneejerk reactions and will make those statements because they get ratings and sell newspapers. I dont think there is some media-wide conspiracy against buffalo. And even if there is, if we keep winning then what does it really matter?
  13. Ha. no proof needed. I beleive you. I was killing dr. tooth not you. And yeah, the chargers took us behind the shed last year. But that was in san diego and meathead was our coach. This Sunday it will be a 30-degree day in buffalo. And I think this bills team is a lot better than last years team. The defense struggles against the run but i think if they play with the strategy that LT will get his yards, and just play to not give up the big 30-40 yard gamebreakers, then the defense can make some plays and maybe force a couple turnovers. The SD defense seems to be very vulnerable against the pass. I think we can move the ball on these guys. But i will also be proud of them if they hang in there against one of the league's best teams, even if they don't get the win. Although the win would me much cooler.
  14. Well yeah .. technically we are ranked in the lower tier. I never disputed that. But if you're going to take those stats so seriously then you also have to take the stat i pointed out in my previous post (how we scored 27 points on a defense that only gives up 14.9) just as seriously. But i think we all know those rankings don't mean crap cause they don't take into account improvment, injuries, etc. Are we really the 21st best defense in the nfl? personally i don't think so. I think we are a couple notches below the top 10 but of course that is only my opinion. Are we the 29th best offense in the nfl? I definitely don't think so. As JP improves along with the oline I would say at least middle of the pack. Again, just my opinion. I'm killing the doctor because he comes on here as if he is some kind of authority with his nonsensical brain surgeon analogy and claiming to tell it like it is when he is only presenting a negatively slanted perception of how thinks it really is. I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. We shouldn't be giddy about the playoffs -- I agree. But I also think that there shouldn't be one poster on this message board who beleives that its impossible. There is nothing wrong with having hope no matter what anyone on here says.
  15. I agree with you about the media. I could give two sh-ts about what any of those guys say. But I'll take issue with a couple of things you said. I want the number of your brain surgeon so I can have his medical license pulled. The bills are two games out of a wild card spot with 5 games left to play. MUCH stranger things have happened especially in this day in age. I agree its not likely. But i would stay away from brain surgeons who make assumptions based on their opinions rather than facts. What flimsy argument are you trying to make out of the fact that the bills are ranked low in overall offensive and defensive categories? Did you see that the Bills put up 27 points on a defense that is only giving up 14.9 a game according to those same stats? So doctor next time maybe you should tell it like it really is instead of how it is in your negative-thinking mind.
  16. I hope he doesnt get 160. But if he gets 160 and they can't move the ball any other way, we will have a shot.
  17. OK obviously we have to do a good job on LT. I think that we will have to concede a 100-yard game for this guy. It's more important that the bills don't let him rip off 40-50 yarders. Let him get his 7-8 yards a carry. A well-timed run blitz on 1st down could put SD in a 2nd and long and a passing situation. That brings us to philip rivers. What will we do to stop antonio gates? He really worries me. The more resources that go to LT, the less resources go to stop gates. I dunno much about the SD receivers. Are they much better than j-ville's? I think the bills can move the ball on san diego's defense. The chargers have an excellent run defense but a middle-of-the-pack pass defense. I loved the play-calling against j-ville with tight end screens, short passes to evans, and just generally taking what the defense gives them. Evans is just red hot right now and will undoubtably draw double coverage so Losman will again have to be very aware of his checkdowns and outlets as he was against jville. I don't think we need the big bombs depending on how SD decides to cover us. We're better off controlling the football with long drives and keeping that powerful offense off the field. Maybe the bills strong pass performances the last couple weeks will help open things up for willis.
  18. I agree with this line of thinking 99% of the time. But in life there no 100% absolutes. And this is a good time for an exception. I think a guy who committed a double murder should be off our wall of fame no matter what he accomplished on the field. I just signed the petition.
  19. I don't think Giants would have beaten the Fairport Red Raiders last night. I like the bills chances at home for a few reasons. The Jaguars probably have false confidence beating an injury-depleted and overrated giants team. And we get them on a short week. Their bad road record has been documented in this thread already. The Jaguars receivers are so bad that the Bills will probably put Whitner in the box until jville proves they can pass the ball effectively. So the jaguars probably won't get their ground game going and garrard will be running for his life. On offense, JP will have to come out throwing. This is a game where I think we will really miss mcgahee because he has the speed to get to the outside. A north/south runner like attrain will probably struggle against Jville's big d. tackles. JP is going to have to work on his chemistry with other receivers this week. Cause I think the entire jaguars defense will be covering evans. They will force losman to go to other receivers. I hope JP is developing chemistry with royal, parrish, price and reed. I think the bills have the edge and will win this game as long as losman doesn't force the issue and takes what the defense gives him. But it will be very close. 17-13 bills
  20. Now this is the smartest post I have seen all day. The last few times we have picked on OL in the first round haven't worked out so well.
  21. More on that "weaker opponent" argument. The Indianapolis Colts are near the bottom of the league in sacks generated. They got 4 last week against the bills oline. Yes I know Indy has dwight freeny and they are one of the top teams in the league. But Detroit sure as hell isn't. They are also near the bottom of the league in sacks and they got FIVE against the bills.
  22. Fair points. Yes we will draft olinemen of course but is it that panic-stricken we need an onlinemen right now or we'll all die type of feeling we have had for most of this season? And that we must use our next 10 first round picks on offensive linemen? And now the Bills offensive line only looked good because we played against a weaker opponent? So by that logic, has this been the only weaker opponenet we have played all season?
  23. Dreamy voice? im starting to worry about you beerball.
  24. good point .. but i like my obi wan theory better
