  1. You can say what you want. Poz has very productive numbers. I'm not a stat guy. I just look at what i see on the field. I think there have been a lot of overall issues with this team including lack of coaching so you can't take all these numbers at face value. And my memory sucks too. lol
  2. Well i think you are wrong. ridiculously wrong? i dunno. But that list you rattled off are all good players. They may not all be studs .. but you can look at any nfl roster and find talent gaps. And i think Whitner and Poz are extremely good players and playmakers and we could do a lot worse at those positions. I know that is subjective. The days of having all stars at every position are long gone for every team.
  3. We can agree to disagree on that one. I think Edwards has had plenty of time to throw. Now Favre being better than edwards at knowing what to do with that time (or less time) is a different issue. But I personally think you arent giving our online nearly enough credit.
  4. entire lines? Those are tough calls. I would say the Bills offensive line is very strong as a whole. Some of them are overpaid but that doesnt make them bad players. I'm no oline expert but in the games I have watched Edwards seems to have a reasonable amount of time to throw the football (hard to tell with jp cause he scrambles so much). And Lynch has running room(Not always .. but no line in this league is perfect). I think Oline is a draw. I would take Chris Jenkins over anyone on our dline .. no argument there. But i like Chris Kelsay .. i think he makes plays. And Marcus Stroud is a very strong player. That was a great FA signing. And don't forget Schobel. Jets have the edge because Jenkins is such a standout .. but overall .. i dont think the talent gap is very wide. Bills defintely have a talented Dline. But they are definitely in need of another pass rusher so they can put heat on the qb without having to blitz. I would definitely take Favre lol. although i think Edwards will be a good nfl quarterback.
  5. I dont think Edwards is a hapless passer ... but i do think he should be a backup right now to a more established veteran. I think the biggest mistake brandon made this offseason .. is entrusting JP (who is completely hapless) with the backup role. Because not only has that killed us the last two weeks .. It also didn't give us a viable alternative to pull Edwards when he had his midseason struggles.
  6. I would also take lee evans over ANY of their receivers .. by a wide wide margin.
  7. I'll give you an example .. I like Thomas Jones a lot!!! He has had a great season. But personally do you think he is more talented than lynch? I don't If you had the choice .. would you take jones over lynch .. even putting aside our fandom. I live near the city and watched last week's game with a bunch of jets fans. They were very impressed with Lynch. I would take Lynch .. and i think all those jets fans i watched the game with would too.
  8. I put very little stock into pro bowl selections
  9. Personally .. i think this team has playoff-caliber talent. Especially when you stack this team up player for player with other playoff contending teams. There are plenty of issues .. but a lack of talent is not one of them IMO
  10. FYi The fan 660 in New York said it was 50/50 that gonzales would be dealt to the bills today. For what its worth. They didnt even mention the giants. Seems like talks are at least still on going.
  11. See this thread: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=68694 I agree with whats stated on there. The Bills should renegotiate the deal, but they shouldn't do that until he reports to camp. As good as peters is, you simply just can not set that precedent. Lee Evans is in camp and a new deal is being worked on. Peters should take a page from that book. All he is doing right now is showing how selfish he is. If he plays his thoughts through to conclusion .. nothing good happens from his holdout. And both the Bills and peters' agent know that. The Bills should be patient here and let Peters make the next move.
  12. Yeah they'd have gotten stomped with flutie starting. Johnson turned out to be a total bust/bum. But that loss was NOT even close to his fault. In fact, he did a great job that game giving buffalo a late lead depsite being Javon Kearse's dinner all game. Johnson sucked, but that game was one of his best. Don't blame the loss on him unless he was on the field when they couldn't cover a kickoff. Fluties fans .. just give it up already .. jeez.
  13. Good luck enforcing this law jackass! http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070207/us_nm/newyork_ipod_dc Can you imagine how slipperly of a slope this is?
  14. And to address the defensive issues. I guess I just give so much more respect to teams that haven't watered down by the new free agent rules. So just comparing the numbers is not really fair to the 90' bills (or any team that existed before free agency for that matter) I think a defense with bruce smith, c. bennett, nate odom, etc would have been able to get our defense off the field against Brady and the Pats who can operate easily on the mediocre defenses of today. But I know that is a subjective viewpoint, but that is just how i feel. I'm not saying that Bills D could dominate all the teams of today, but I think they would be effective enough to compliment the K-gun offense. I think most of us would agree (and please correct me if i'm wrong here, and tell me why) that the watered down defenses of the modern era would be no match for that offense. Quick snapshot view of the Colts '06 offense vs. the Bills' 90' offense. Peyton Manning may be better than jim kelly .. but not by much. This is a wash to me. Does anyone want to argue that the colts offensive line is better than the wil wolfords, glen parkers and kent hulls of the world? I think that bills offensive line is head and shoulders above these guys and Jim Kelly would have all day to throw the ball. Andre Reed and Marvin Harrison is a wash. I think Lofton is head and shoulders above Wayne. But that is an argueable point. There is no comparison regarding the running game. Kenneth Davis is heads and shoulders above both addai and Rhodes. Not to mention a hall of famer named thurman. I think Mckeller is much better than dallas clark. But That also is argueable. If you asked bill polian in his heart of hearts which offense (both of which he built) he would take if he had to win one game ... does anyone on this board really think he'd even consider taking the colts?
