Thank God football is starting.

A source very high up in the NFL told me recently that since every team plays in week 1, all 32 NFL teams will either win, lose, or tie. I spoke to my own sources to verify these claims, and sure enough a win, loss, or tie seem to be the expected outcomes. A close personal friend of the commish, who wished to remain nameless, says the popular opinion in the head office is that wins and losses are the best bet. Their inside sources seem fairly confident there will be no ties.

The bad thing is Steve probably evacuated and drove north...and now the damn thing is going to hit further north. I heard on the new today that since the storm has slowed down, some people could have hurricane force winds for up to 18 hours! I lived in FL for a long time and went through a lot of hurricanes, but I can't imagine going through it for 18 hours. AT LEAST the wind speed has slowed down. Good luck everyone and hang in there!

Gregg was the Coordinater of a great D in Tennessee. I think a lot of that had to do with Fischer, but I'm sure he knows what he's doing. Wade Phillips was a great D-coordinator and never made a great HC. I wouldn't be surprised if GW puts together a pretty good D in Washington...even though I find myself rooting against the guy. Too many sour feelings!

Is the guy that runs Buffalofoods.com a member of the board? I went there to try and order some stuff (which I can't yet) and at the bottom of the order for it says "how did you hear about the site". One of the options is Buffalo Bills Web Sites, with a drop down box....the only site in there is Two Bills Drive. Thought that was kind of cool....and I'm just curious. I might have to email the guy to ask him if he can get some stuff to an APO address.

I never understood why so many people were so against him coming here as a backup. I would NEVER want him brought in as a starter, but as a backup? I wouldn't have minded at all.

I don't think so. Unless something comes up where we NEED the money, why cut him? He was brought in to be a backup and 3rd down specialist. Is there a LB behind the starters that's better than Gildon. Haggan is as close as it would come, and he aint much.

Lots of penalties, but none on that first drive with the starters in. That is at least good news.

They can't afford to keep 4 backs AND 4 QB's AND possibly 4 TE's. Simonton has looks okay, but he hasn't shown anything special. Shaud has earned the 3 spot.

It depends on the law of the state, but you are probably looking at a reckless driving ticket. You will pay court fees, the ticket (which will probably be quite a bit for 30mph), and your insurance will skyrocket. Pretty much screwed. The only thing that will get you out of the ticket is if the cop doesn't show and you contest it. I had it happen once when I was about 16...the cop showed. I know a lot of people who say they have gone to court and the cop didn't show. It's a toss up. One thing you can do (again it depends on state) is go to a driver school. I did that when I got my ticket. Takes points off your license and some courts will even waive some of the court fees or ticket fee. This could be a pain for you though, depending on where you are going to school/where you will be when the class happens/what county the ticket was given. Good luck.

I really don't care if he comes here or not. Certainly not like I cared about Milloy. But, IF it did play out like that, I think it would be the final piece of an absolutley outstanding Defense. (Not just Law, but any other good CB). Get Vincent back to FS where he will thrive, and have Law and Clements at CB. With our LB core/DT's/Schoeble and solid play at the other DE slot, I think we would be the toughest D in the league. That said, I don't think he is cut...and even if he was I don't think he would come for the money we could pay him. I still like our D the way it is!

Are hurricane parties a thing of the past? What the hell happened since I left FL? Anything Cat 4 and below is party waiting to happen. Find a storage shelter, rent out a garage and have a blast! Since I have't looked...if it's a Cat 5, forget everything I just said and RUUUUUN!

As much as people want to say to the contrary, the "general" feeling on the baord with GW was everyone like him. Of course not all the same people are around now that were around then, so the new members may have actually had a different opinion. Everyone pretty much trusted TD's decision to hire GW over all of the other candidates. When GW spoke at press conferences saying we were going to the playoffs, most people loved it. You have to remember we were coming off a season where Wade Phillips said that the Jets and Bills (who had the same record) had basically no chance of making the playoffs...The Bills of course didn't, and the Jets did. Most people were ready for a cocky coach. The airhorn? Other than one or two people I remember everyone liking it. The players needed more dicipline! About time somebody came in here and whipped these boys into shape. Maybe we will finally see the end of all those stupid penalties! Looking back on it, it was of course all stupid! Not only did we not have the talent to back up GW's words, he wasn't the coach that was going to get us there. The air horn and tough talk all turned out to be a waste of time! Pretty much doesn't matter what MM does now. You can like em, hate em, or really not care either way. If he takes us to the playoffs and beyond he will be a genious. If we end up 8-8 or below again he will be shunned.
