  1. Orton? Anyone else think we see these 4 starting in the AFC East Next season? As bad as Miami is right now, they are really not that far from coming back. They will have a top pick. If they take Orton (or go with Leinart) in the first, get a decent back in the 2nd (there are usually a few good ones around), and field a healthy team again they won't be bad. If Losman can prove to be the QB we are all hoping he can be, the East could be the toughest Division in football again.
  2. Cause you're a sick bastard?
  3. If I had to bet, I'd say Shaw will do very well with NE. The system they use and the accuracy of Brady makes average WR's look good. Shaw will jump into the number two spot of that team without a problem, and if he plays like he is capable of playing, he could be the best on the team. Shaw has more talent that he uses. He doesn't seem to really care about giving it his all or playing well. Of course this is why I think he was released. It's not so much that he was horrible, it's just that he doesn't seem to play hard. Remember the JAX game last year. He went down there to Jax after they got rid of him and played his a$$ off. Every now and then he gets on the field and makes really nice plays...then you don't hear his name called for a few games. He will get to NE, want to be a starting reciever on a Super Bowl team, and play hard. Watch and see.
  4. Nice list...did you print it directly off a fantasy football site? Just becasue your opinion is ALL of those guys are better than Henry, doesn't make it so. Why are some people so biased torwards our players, and not others? (Whether in the Pos. or the Neg.) Using some names off your list, lets look at some very simple stats: Using rankings: NA=not in top 30 2002 RUSHING YARDS /// RUSHING TD'S (5) Henry /// (6) Henry (7) Tiki /// (9) Tiki (10) Dillon /// (19) Faulk (12) Green /// (20) Martin (15) Martin /// (21) Dillon (23) Faulk /// (22) Davis (27) Davis /// (23) Green (NA) T. Jones /// (NA) T. Jones (NA) Barlow /// (NA) Barlow 2003 RUSHING YARDS ///RUSHING TD'S (2) Green /// (2) Green (7) Davis /// (9) Henry (11) Henry /// (10) Faulk (12) Martin /// (15) Davis (14) Tiki /// (23) Barlow (18) Barlow /// (NA) Martin (22) Faulk /// (NA) Tiki (NA) Dillon /// (NA) Dillon (NA) T. Jones /// (NA) T. Jones These are very simple stats on 8 guys from your list that jumped out at me when I saw them. I didn't look up every person, though many of them would rank lower in these two categories than Henry. Now, you can go much further into stats. You can do it all day for a week and not have all the possibilites worked out. My point is, don't you think there is a coach out there who would like a Back that has been in the top 11 of rushing yards and TD's the past two seasons? He's had a pretty bad start to 04, but hell, the whole team has. Other GM's/Coaches know that. They know what he is capable of. Now, do I think Travis is traded before next Tuesday? No. I don't think TD is even trying to trade him. But to say he is below 15 other backs in the league and on par with about 8 more is a little blind-sighted.
  5. Oh common man, that is just insane. The Raiders have one of the better O-lines in the leauge, and a QB that you can't blitz because he reads defenses so well and will kill your secondary. (this is Gannon I'm talking about - pre-injury) If anyone honestly things Zereoue is a better back than Travis Henry, I'll sell you some prime-land on the moon. BTW: Why the hell would the Bills "brain trust" look bring in a FA Back when they have two guys on the field fighting for the starting job and Shaud looking great for Rook in pre-season. That would have been a great idea! BTW2: If Zereoue is so damn good, why does he only have 37 rushes? Damn, 5.7 yards a carry...they don't even have to pass!
  6. I love how rumors get started. We, in general "what if" conversation, basically made up the whole Jake Grove rumor yesterday. Now it's catching on as a real possiblitly, and once the trade deadline passes everyone will probably be bitching at TD about not pulling the trigger on this trade when he had the chance!
  7. Takeo Spikes Coy Wire Tank Williams Boss and Champ Bailey (were those guys bred for football or what?)
  8. + or - 15% margin of error
  9. I think all this Rice talk is a bunch of BS, but I will say that if the above trade happened it would make my F'n year! Hell, I would take a trade straight up for Grove. The only reason I was upset about the trade up for JP was because we could have gotten Grove in the second if we had stood pat. The guy is a nasty SOB that "should" turn out to be a really good center.
  10. Where would you move them to? We don't have a "recycle bin" forum...do we?
  11. I knew that was coming.
  12. If we have an injury at WR we will just add someone else to the team who can drop passes and blow assignments. Maybe I should get my resume ready...
  13. It was a good idea, just a bit too late.
  14. If so, I wish you people would make up your damn minds. These "polls" are getting a bit ridiculous. I can't wait for the exit polls throughout the day/night of the election.
  15. No, I don't think there is any doubt about this. In fact, during the off-season before the draft when everyone was arguing about who was better and who who we should draft, I was rooting for McKinnie. I remember heated arguments somewhere in ICE's many McWhatever posts. That said, I stand by my memory of MOST pro's that I read (Kiper for example) placing big Mike above McKinnie on their draft sheets. At the time of the draft (not now looking back on things), whichever player TD chose should have been a great pick. TD has no control on what the players do after that. That is why I don't understand why people keep bringing up MW as a TD failure. It's a MW failure. Be pissed at him!
  16. It would depend on what team I was getting him for. Here's a few teams that could use a RB...draft choices only: Miami - #2 Their Number 1 will be too low to trade, and they will probably draft a QB with it. A number 2 for a good back would be perfect for them. Raiders - Late #2 or #3. They have a solid team and can get a RB in the first if they want to. Cowboys - #1 for Henry and a #3. Parcells won't trade for Henry straight up, but I bet we get could get a first for Henry and a third. Worth it? Arizona - #2 My bet is they take a QB in round 1 this year and with the WR's they have the only thing missing on their offense is a good Back.
  17. What I don't get is how people can blast TD about Mike Williams. Is it his fault the guy isn't playing to his potential? When he was drafted, he was considered the best Tackle available by almost all the scouts I remember. McKinnie was right there with him, but most agreed MW had more upside. Everyone bitched and complained that we never used our 1st rounders on lineman, and then TD drafts the best one available. He isn't a damn fortune teller! I put Josh Reed in this category as well. In his first year here he did very well for a rookie. For some reason since then his hands have turned to stone. For this I blame Reed, not TD. Now, I will agree that his drafts have been sub-par, and in some cases downright bad. He also doesn't seem to have much of a clue about finding talent in late rounds, but he has drafted some good talent that is starting on this team right now. Hell, even Butler, the drafting guru, had some really bad draft classes.
  18. Nice Shoes.....Wanna F#@k?
  19. I hate football
  20. Jets up by two with 1:00 remaining. Even if this offense can drive down the field in less than a min., a game winning Field Goal will be in the hands of Lindell.
  21. Now all we need is a Defensive stop when the game is on the line. I'll be over here holding my breath.
  22. TE's are not only catching passes...but catching TD passes. Bledsoe had time to throw and hit Evans in the end zone We had a safety AND LB get INT's And now Lindell kicks off into the endzone for a touchback
  23. *Sigh* I do. As much as I try I can never just say screw it.
  24. Why are you doing this to yourself?
