  2. He wasn't even waiting to see if it was a strike!!!! Bastard.
  3. BUMP We are pretty close to the bottom. Aren't we usually in the top 3? Bad year I guess...
  4. I agree with 3-2. I have no doubt we beat the Jags. That last drive never would have happened with Milloy and Vincent. I still give us a loss against Oakland. Even though the score was close the whole team played horrible. We didn't deserve to win that game. New England would have found a way to win...like always. The Jets game is a toss up, but what killed us in that game was the 3rd down conversions. I think they stop a few of those witht those two in the game. I guess it doesn't matter though. The good teams find a way to win no matter who is hurt. These younger guys just need to step up.
  5. I really hate baseball, but now that the Sox have beat the Yankees I really hope they win the series so we can be done with this curse crap.

  7. I don't mind the Black/Polish/Woman/Gay/Irish/Blonde jokes...BUT NOW YOU HAVE GONE TOO FAR!
  8. I understand the point this guys trying to make, but it doesn't exactly flow well with me. How can you compare a war-time enviroment with political decision making? Bush didn't have 30 seconds to think about the war in Iraq. He wasn't give 15 very simple questions and asked to decide on them in 2 seconds. His decision was thought out. It was calculated. He spent months arguing with the world and trying to convince the country that we had to go to war. Whether you believe it was right to go to war or not, saying he had to make a snap decision just isn't true. I will agree on the hindsight vision, but that is the case for every President, Congressman, buisness owner, and NFL head coach. A President isn't going to get a break from scrutiny just because he had some tough decisions to make. From my experience with members of the military money plays a big part in who they vote for. Not just paychecks, which tend to make larger increases under republicans, but also for equipment, manning, etc... Saying they support Bush is also another way to be patriotic. They are fighting, and dying in Iraq. Better to believe they are fighting and dying for something. These are good reasons to vote for one candidate over another, but I'd say if they could have the money and get the hell out of the sandbox at the same time, they would take that option.
  9. You didn't mention 58 TD's!!!! He's having one hell of a year.
  10. From that same article. Does anyone else really not like this quote? I know what he was trying to say, but jeesh! I guess since we are away and expected to lose, he doesn't even have to try this week. Still hoping to hear some good news on Vincent!
  11. Yeah, misfiring is kind of a catch-all for a bunch of small problems, but they are usually all pretty cheap! It can be a fuel/air filter, fuel lines needing flushed, overall tune-up to catch all fluids/filters...etc. Fuel filters get overlooked a lot by people who do their own small maint. on their cars (oil changes..etc). Get them changed and it would probably be a good idea to get your fuel lines flushed.
  12. RB's: Bennett: With the way Moore is playing, Bennett will get a few carries at most to slowly get him back in the flow. Henry: As said, he will be playing slightly injured and will lose carries to WM Jones: I think he only had 2 carries last week. He's another week healthier and should get more touches. He has upside, but he's a gamble. Taylor: Buffalo has a good Run D (The Sammy Morris enigma doesn't count!). Not the greatest week to play him. I would go with George this week vs. GB. They have a horrible Run D, and he should get the goal line carries if nothing else. WR's Toomer: I stay away from him like the plauge! He looks so good one week, and then sucks for 4 or five straight. He's a fantasy football SIREN. Porter: Really good reciever, but Collins is blowing it. McCardell: If you can afford to have him plug up a roster spot for 2 weeks, I'd pick him up. He has to learn the system and get back into football shape, but he should do well in SD by week 10 or so. For points this week I would go with Clayton. He is getting better every week, and seems to be the go-to guy in Tampa. I know that isn't saying too much, but they are home against Chicago this week, and he should do okay.
  13. Sounds to me like it is misfiring. Ask a mechanic about it. It happens sometimes and there are a bunch of possible causes. Should be less than a $100 to fix depending on what it is. Usually a mechanic will go through all possibilities "just to be sure". It should get more persistent as time goes on.
  14. I agree with all your points, but this is the one that sticks out to me (and the one that worries me the most). There is a reason Terrell Suggs gets so many sacks and tackles. If it were as easy as putting another blocker on him, it would be done by everyone. The problem is, if you are doubling up on Suggs, you are opening yourself up for an all out attack from Lewis. I don't care if it is 1st and 10, 3rd and inches, or 4th and 50...you HAVE to have two guys on Lewis. There just aren't enough blockers on the field to cover for all of Baltimore's blitzers. It will be a tough day for the O-line/FB/TE's. We will see if they are up for the challenge. I'll probably keep saying this all week, but this in MY mind, this game will be won or lost by our WR's. They must, must, must make those catches that they have been dropping all season. If Bledsoe gets the ball anywhere near them, they have to catch the damn thing. Seems simple enough, but so far every WR on this team has had a bad case of the dropsies. I'll also add that they have to run the right routes and make the right sight adjustments. Something else they seem to be having trouble with. Bledsoe will get rid of the ball as fast as he can, as he has been doing all year, but if the WR's are dropping catchable balls and costing us valuable field position, this game goes to Baltimore.
  15. Someone posted a couple of days ago that they would match up Miami's D against Baltimore's D anyday. I disagree. Maybe statistically they are similar (I haven't looked), but they get those stats playing two totally different types of ball. Baltimore's D is fast and aggressive as hell. They will be coming after Bledsoe with absolutely everything they have. A long pass to Evan, even a long TD pass, will not stop them from blitzing. I would be surprised to see more than a couple of plays that Baltimore does not blitz. Can the Bills O-line really handle an all out blitz from Baltimore? I don't know. The easiest way to counter the blitz (not stop it) is to have short passes on crossing routes, outs, screens...etc. So far, Bledsoe's accuracy has been less than stellar on these types of passes, and when he is accurate the recievers have been dropping the ball. It all depends on whether or not they can all step up and make the simple plays. I agree that we should tear up their offense, but Bledsoe will probably be on his back all day. Field position will be the deciding factor in this game. If our D can get some turnovers and hopefully even score some points, we might be in good shape. Also remember that they have Stover kicking for them, and we have Lindell. In a low scoring game, this could make all the difference.
  16. Hmmm, I've been thinking it's time for that Madden curse to kick in.
  17. Yes, 30 teams in the NFL DID NOT trade for Rice, and TD is obviously at fault.
  18. Wow, a conditional 7th? Rice is not the reciever he used to be, but he is sure as hell worth a conditional 7th. Good pick up by for the Hawks.
  19. I agree this rule will probably be changed. It's happened twice now in two weeks, and it just doesn't make any sense. Why is it illegal for a person to be the first one to touch a ball after going out of bounds, but when you actually touch a ball when you are out of bounds it benefits your team? At least hit happened last week. There was a point of reference that he refs made the correct call.
  20. Ahhhhhh
  21. Nah, we would have had to trade into the top 10 to pick up Roth. If we traded up, we would have lost our 13 pick, and probably a 2nd rounder too. Would have gotten Roth, but woul have lost out on Evans. Time will tell which QB is the best out of this bunch, but remember...Maddox had a great year too. ONE. I think Ben will be a very good QB in the NFL, but I think JP will be also.
  22. Oops. Well, other than that, my point is the same.
  23. It tells me you have now given up on your original argument and are starting a new one. You said the win today was ugly and the Pats were football machines and Miami's D stunk...etc. My argument was that the Bills beat the Dolphins almost exactly the same as the Patriots, so todays game should not be considered ugly. It should be considered a damn win. Now, if you want to start a new debate about which team is better, the Bills or Pats, you will have to find someone else. The answer right now is of course the Pats. But, that has nothing to do with with todays game.
  24. Well, let see. The Pats played the dolphins last week, and only beat them by 14 points. We won by ten, and if we wanted could have added either 3 or 7 at the end of them game. Last week: Fiedler threw for 251 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT This Week: Fiedler threw for 156 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT Last Week: Brady Threw for 76 yards, 2TD's, and 1INT This Week: Bledsoe Threw for 212 yards, 1 TD and NO Int's Last Week: Miami Ran for 70 Yards This Week: Miami Ran for 111 Yards Last Week: NewEngland Ran for 135 yards This Week: Buffalo Ran for 137 yards Last Week: New England had 1 INT and forced 3 Fumbles (Rec. 1) This Week: Buffalo had 1 INT for a TD and Forced 4 Fumbles (Rec. 0) Stats look pretty similar between the "football machines" and the team that sucks. Your point is a bad one. The 4 losses suck, but just friggin enjoy the win.
