  1. Why is it misguided? If they make the right moves, they are playoff contenders, and once in the playoffs anyone has a shot at the superbowl. They have the defense. They have the recievers. (Chambers, Boston and Booker) They have a pretty damn good TE. They need a few guys on the OLine, a RB and a QB. They will have a very low first round pick to get a RB or QB. With a couple of good moves in FA, and the right choice at HC, they are just as "in it" as anyone else.
  2. They would be nuts not to hire Spurrier. The guy is a god around there, and it would pump up recruitment the second he was hired. He failed in the NFL, but he was great as a college coach. Florida is a very young team, with a ton of potential. Spurrier can get them on the right track, and I would love to see what he does with Leak.
  3. There would only be one thing worse than Miami being the only team to have an undefeated sesason....and that's for Miami and the Patriots to be the only two teams to have undefeated season's.
  4. Didn't we just beat them last week????? Granted, they have a REASON to be bad, but they are worse!
  5. Thank God! Finally I have some good news in my sports life!
  6. Is it just me?
  7. Wow, check out these stats! Talk about shutting a team down in the second half: 1st Half: Passing: 10/16 86yards 0TDs Rushing: 72 yards, 1 TD Points: 10 (plus 7 points from Defense) 2nd Half: Passing: 0/3 Rushing: 28 yards 0TD's Points: 3 pts Thats right folks. Boller did not complete 1 pass, and they only rushed for 28 yards in the second half. (How can that be right?) Guess what...we still lost. The defense is NOT the problem. BTW, we had a better 3rd down conversion rate yesterday than the Ravens did. Buff: 5-15--33% Bal: 4-13--31%
  8. So, it's obvious that the Bills are out of the playoff picture. Any aspirations for this season are in the crapper. So, what do we do with the remaining games to make this season have some point? Here's what I think: QB As fans it's time to stop arguing about Bledsoe. Whether you support him or not, he is done after this season. Keeping him in isn't going to hurt anything, since we are not going to make the playoffs anyway. The arguments about who is most capable to help the team win now are pointless. Now that we are where we are, I think instead of throwing JP in to the wolves, he needs to be brought along slowly throughout the remainder of the season. Let him get 100% healthy, and then bring him in for 4th quarters and maybe even 2nd halves torward the end of the year. The game experience will do wonders for him next year, and getting him that experience slowly and against many different teams will be that much better. RB's Opposite of the QB situation, I think we need to let McGahee rest as much as possible. I would like to see him get no more than 12 carries a game. Yes, it is becoming more and more apparent that he is the better back, but I would rather let him rest that knee and not get hurt again before next season. I think that chances are Henry will be traded next season. Whether it's for a 2nd or a 7th, he will be gone. If McGahee gets hurt, it will be another few years of Henry playing and everyone waiting to see if WM can get better...again. Let Travis try and play for his trade, up his value. Save WM for next season. OL It's time for the coaches to start moving these guys around and experimenting for next season. When Teague is better, see how he does at LT. Since Jennings is probably gone next year, find out NOW if Teague can hang in there, instead of waiting until after FA and the draft to find out he can't do it. Try moving MW to guard. He is obviously a hazard at RT, but maybe he can catch on inside. Who knows. Move these guys around in practice and in games if it feels right. Lets see what they can do. We need to know everything we can about these guys BEFORE the off-season. WR's Well, I pretty much think they will be okay, with all of the other changes around them. Evans will get better, Moulds will be Moulds. As far as our third and 4th stringers? I don't know. I just think WR is a low priority at the moment. They need to focus on the lines. Defense In my opinion the D needs two things. A FS and a better DE. With the offense as bad as it is, neither position will probably be upgraded. IF they can get a DE in FA, it would be great, but I just don't see it happening. Really, the D isn't that damn bad. I know everyone is bitching about the 3rd downs, and with reason, but they have been solid in almost all other areas, and with some more work and continuity I think they can get even better. Off-season Draft: I've said before (somewhat as a joke) that the Bills should draft 7 OLinemen! (This includes a pick for Henry) Sounds stupid? Yeah, it does, but what the hell! If out of those 7 guys they find two starters, its a win in my opinion. Spend every waking moment of every scout finding every bit of buried talent at the OL position you can, and get em in here. Obviously this won't happen, but it's what I would like to see. FA: 3 areas...Oline, DE, and FS. Get the best players you can, don't waste money or time on "project" players until there are no other choices available! If they can get one starter on the Oline and one upgrade between DE and FS, I think it's a success. If these things happen many of the debates from this season will be over. Bledsoe will be gone and JP will be starting. Henry will be gone in favor of WM. We could possibly have an upgrade at either FS or DE, and TD and company will have done everthing possible (in one off-season anyway) to shore up the Oline. BTW, all this "CUT EVERYONE" talk is just friggin stupid. This team doesn't need to start from scratch. It just needs (desperate) help at certain key positions. Some of that help is already here and getting healthy/ready. Some more can be had in the off-season if it's done right. Here's hoping!
  9. Disgusting... That was probably the worst first half of football I have ever seen out of an offense. I'm friggin stunned. From the RB's, to the O-line, to the QB, to the playcalling! The only people who haven't Fugged up are the Recievers, and thats only because they haven't had a chance yet!
  10. You have got to be kidding...
  11. Ahhhh, 12 men on the field. NOW I know the Bills are back! I'm outta here. Maybe if I don't listen to the game it will bring them some luck. BTW, as I type this, they just gave the ball to Henry on 3rd and 15. Nice.
  12. Can we PLEASE stop Boller! I can't believe they keep marching down the field.
  13. Cause we are the Billls.
  14. And just keep telling yourself it was ALL his fault. Then we can ALL be delusional!
  15. Wow, it actually looks like Baltimore WATCHED GAME FILM!!! Did they think that play was going to keep working forever? This aint Madden! Ugh!
  16. No WAY Josh Reed just caught a 20 yard pass!!!!!
  17. What??
  18. Perhaps we don't know the answer...
  19. I just don't think we have to worry about him. I wasn't that worried about Jamal. Buffalo has been doing great on the run D. They have allowed an average of 90.2 yards per game, and have only allowed 1 rushing TD. Lewis probably would have cracked the 90 yard mark, but the passing game is what I'm worried about. Boller sucks and Heap is out. Their passing game is in trouble. I don't expect Chester Taylor to do much.
  20. What would be the bid deal in trading an above average back inside the division? Travis can be much more than above average on the right team. He would be a very dangerous back to have inside our division.
  21. Yes, and Fred McAfee is the greatest RB ever. And Check out Joe Burns
  22. 19-17 Ravens Lindell will miss a field goal.
  23. I was hoping Taylor was more on the questionable side of things, but Heap staying at Doubtful is something I like to see. Now all we have to hope is that a questionable Milloy can get his butt on the field! Also, if Jennings is okay to go, do YOU put him in the game?
  24. I was thinking along similar lines. I really don't think this is a PR stunt or anything of the sort. MM is a new head coach that was given a DC from the prior regime. After an off-season, training camp, pre-season, and 6 weeks of a season MM probably told TD that he liked Grey and wanted him around. A deal was done. Simple as that. Grey isn't my favorite coach in the world. I think he can do much better with the talent we have on the field. But, I also don't think he is that bad. Anyone we brought in after the season was over would be someone we would take a chance on. I would love to have a "great" DC, but at this point I am perfectly happy to accept one has proven to be above average, than to take a chance on a new with lots of potential. The last thing this team needs is ANOTHER coaching/strategy change. And the last thing I need is to have to listen to another guy come in and say how much more aggressive we are going to be.
