  1. It tells me that it is too high for Miami. Miami is in the process of trying to restructure or cut something like 8 starters right now. They have too much money wrapped up in average talent, and the new coach wants to start over. Jennings is going to cost too much for a team who is over the cap and need a lot of help.
  2. Yeah...that's how it was intended.
  3. Yeah, but couldn't the Dolphins just do the same thing? That would be a very unique draft. On an unrelated note from later in the article: I know Wahle's name has been brought up a lot, but this doesn't help our chances.
  4. I thought it was great cause EVERYONE died! One of the stupidest movies ever, but it had a hell of a cast, and they all died! I kept saying, no way HE dies, and then five minutes later...
  5. Could have I suppose, but can't anymore. I don't know what the top 5 DT's in the league make, but I know PW isn't worth that kind of money. I can't see a team making a trade for him with that kind of contract.
  6. Who's seen the movie Clerks?
  7. Some points: 1. No one knows what Pat is asking for. Just because there was an article written saying 5mil does not mean it's true. Lets at least wait until something happens before we call Pat a money grubbing bastard and TD a low balling prick. 2. Something people don't seem to realize is that we really don't have to have much money to extend Nate. If he agrees to an extension, he can still make the same amount of money this year, with a bigger contract kicking in next season. An extension does not mean a raise this year. At most, there would probably be an increase in his signing bonus. 3. While I REALLY want Pat back, he IS an aging DT, and we do have some young depth at that position. Probably more than any position on the team, DT is expendable. Will the D take a hit? Sure, but no that much. Overpaying for Pat will be a BIG mistake.
  8. Just so you know, Shelton is not a young up and comer. It's just that this has been his first big year. He'll be 33 just after the season starts. Bio
  9. He might be a pain in the A_s, but getting that much talent for the next 4 years and NO signing bonus is a hell of a deal. Now they just need to trade us their second round pick and Jake Grove for Travis Henry!
  10. Next time, just call BS in actual thread you are talking about.
  11. AHHHHAHAHAHHA!!! Actually, Shack is a good guy in person, but I can't stand the sanctimonious SOB on the court.
  12. Umm, actually, if you look at the link you provided, he had 13 sacks the year AFTER he left Buffalo. So, it's been 3 years since he has done anything. 2 of those years were off because of injury. He has had a tough time coming back. The fact that he "might" come back and play to old form is reason enough to talk about him. Every single post I've seen in favor of him is quickly followed by "as long as he comes cheap". No one here has said "lets break the bank to bring him back. He'll play great once he gets back to Buffalo!!!!!" Maybe last year is the Wiley that will linger around the league until he decides to retire...but maybe not.
  13. Wait a minute...so whose point are you trying to make here? You started your agument saying GM's were so much smarter than everyone else becaue they are paid millions to evaluate talent, and then you give multiple examples of how our GM's have screwed up. Good job.
  14. Actually, the cut day is today (22Jan). Free agency starts on the 2nd, but Bledsoe wasn't a free agent, he was cut. He can sign anywhere. It's just like Akili Smith getting signed.
  15. Hey, when Henson comes in they won't even have to get rid of their Drew Sucks signs!
  16. Because she has a very smart publicist or two. Leak a porn video just before that show of hers starts up. When things are dying down a bit, leak some more private stuff.
  17. Oh good! It's been what, two weeks since we've seen a story like this?
  18. I love it when people say someone is/isn't good because of how well they did in fantasy football. Actually, the reason Clark was drafted was because Indy runs a lot of 2 TE sets. (My guess is they draft another TE, although Hartsock showed promise the few times he saw the field) Pollard is a better blocking back, so they drafted Clark to be the pass catching guy. The problem with that was, Clark never took off like Indy expected. He is a "good" tight end, but not a game changer like they were hoping for when they drafted him. As they have played together, they have pretty much split the workload. They have both been good blockers (both are better at pass blocking than run blocking), and both can catch quite well. Clark is faster and better in space, but Pollard is better in the redzone. He can catch the ball in traffic and hold on to it....good for a redzone TD or a much needed 1st down. If I had to rate them, they would probably be dead even. Clark getting a slight nod for recieving and Pollard for blocking. If I had to keep one, it would also be Clark since he is younger and more of a "threat". Picking up Pollard would be huge, but even if it didn't happen, it at least takes some heat off of Franks in the FA market.
  19. Campbell FWIW
  20. Going to stop by Red Light?
  21. I don't watch soccer a lot, but I do like it. Especially the larger formats like Euro Cup/World Cup etc.. Never got into US Soccer. Penalty shots can be pretty great by the way. They do go to overtime first, and then go to penalty shots, so it's not like they just end games like that all the time. It's pretty suspenseful when a huge game comes down to PS.
  22. I disagree with most of you. I would rather see a situation like we had last year....tough games early on. Chances are, JP is going to lose his first few games anyway, why not have those games be against the best teams we have to play?
  23. I don't remember which games were on at the time, but day 1 of the NFL draft beat 2 different NBA playoff games in ratings throughout the day. Pretty incredible when you think about it. There really is no comparison anymore between which is the most popular sport in America.
  24. Losman played in 4 games. Those games ended in a 3-1 record. In the 3 wins, he had a rating of 95.1. In the loss, he had a rating of 16.7. What do I get out of these stats? Next year we will finish the season 12-4, and the rest of the team doesn't matter one bit. Our win loss record will be soley based off JP's play. In other words, trying to claim that you can find ANY fact from the stats attained in mop up duty in 4 games is absurd. If you are not concerned about how well JP will do next season, you are deluded. You are also deluded if you are not excited about the possibilities.
  25. I don't watch the show much, but I don't mind it. I have never seen Steven A. Smith on there though. Doesn't matter whats on, if I see that sorry sack a !$#% I turn the channel. He is the worst thing about ESPN IMO...and winning that title isn't easily accomplished.
