Larry Felser's take on the NFL's "cold gesture"
dogbyte replied to TDRupp's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It will be depending on the standings and the weather if they are sellouts -
It is hard to trade a franchised player unless the other team can work out a long term contract with the player. No team wants to trade a pick and then watch a player leave the next year. The problem with nate is he wants too much money.

The Bills are fishing.............
dogbyte replied to realtruelove's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe, Marv, who has been following the Bills for a long time, did not like the pick of JP. Also Marv knows what goes on in the locker room. JP, might have all the physical tools ,but just can not cut it in the personality department. -
OMG! The Browns are going to be SO much better.
dogbyte replied to The_Real's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You have to be kidding? Big Ted did nothing in Oakland the last 2 years and will be 39 when the season starts. Willie McGinst will be 35, at the start of the season. I bet neither finish the season. Also look at the money they got, neither is worth that much. I do like some of the other signings though I still can not see them getting over .500 in their division. -
I would not get to carried away with Andre Reed. NE had him last year with a very good quarterback and what did he do. NE is starving for WRs but were not too interested in resigning him. He is fast but drops a lot of passes. He is not a good blocker and simply disappears in games where he should excell

FWIW: Some comments by B'gals owner
dogbyte replied to stuckincincy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This from the owner whose teams were always way under the cap because they refused to spend money on coaches players and scouts. This is an team with a part time staff in the offices. -
After fully reading the CBA...
dogbyte replied to MadBuffaloDisease's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In 1994 when Bob Kraft bought the NE Patriots the were dead last in revenue in the NFL. But with smart marketing and management he has created an orginization that is now in the top 3 for revenue. Ralph can do the same thing but it will take time and marketing know how. -
J Jones on the side of the Little Guy?
dogbyte replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kraft is not the only one who is having the staduim debt issues, 4 or 5 other clubs, like Houstan, also have debts.. The problem is teams like AZ and Cinn that do not do any marketing and never spends to the cap limit. Where the Texans, Pats,Cowboys and some others do a lot of marketing. Why should these teams get more of a share if they do not do anything to create more revenue while they still have a lot of debt for new stadiums. Ten games a year do not create enough money to pay off these debts. What do you think the new owner of the Bills will do when they spend 600 to 700 million to buy the Bills. Season tickets will not be averaging 58.00 a game. -
MR Kraft has been one of the driving force to getting the TV contracts that the other owners are sharing. His problem is this, if other teams want to share his revenue then they should share his debt also. He spent 300 million to build a stadium while teams like St Louis had a 400 million dollar stadium built by taxpayers money. The Rams get all concessions and parking monies and pay no rent. He wants the debt shared, or the revunes used to payoff his debt for the stadium.

Sorry but TD did not offer Pat a contract, This is why Pat was upset. He would of stayed with the Bills if there had been an offer even if was lower than Minn. There were talks but no offer.

1st it is the word their instead of there. 2nd GB needs a lot of holes fixed. I do not think tyhat they would do this trade. Also other teams will be looking at their pick and after Clements year, I do not think he is as good as we think he is.

No team could afford 3 first round draft picks anymore

How I would approach the 2006 offseason
dogbyte replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem as I see it is you are counting on those 5 players for your Oline not to get hurt because you have no depth. -
NE got to the SB in 85, winning all 3 games on the road.

Why get rid of asst. coaches and not MM?
dogbyte replied to jahnyc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It show me that MM is willing to throw people under the bus to save his job. It shows that RW does not want to pay MM the last 3 years of his contract so he will put up with a toothless head coach. The only reason that Gray is still here is that their hoping that he gets a HC position so they do not have to pay him the rest of his contract -
How can people say Marv will be a disaster!
dogbyte replied to billsboys's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Marv is not the coach. MM will decied who will start -
First NE had no time outs left, it was Miami that called the time out. Second if I was Saban I would be owrried that my first team offense and defense almost lost to NE 2nd and 3rd stringers. I thought the drop kick was OK, evryone will remeber that for Flutie. NE coaching staff was smart to get out of the game with no injuies. NE beat Pitt in Pitt but came out of the game with a lot of injuries. I think this is a smart move. the steelers will beat Cinn then play Indy. NE should beat JAX and go onto Denver. If the Steelers beats Indy and NE beats Denver then NE gets the home game. That is a lot of ifs but he looks to me like smart coaching to me.

With thew game on the line, WM is "TIRED"
dogbyte replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Willis was smart, he knew the game was not important, he managed to get out of the season without an injury. He got his 1200 yards -
Is the NFL headed for a difficult time?
dogbyte replied to Fake-Fat Sunny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In today's NFL, it is good coaching and GM skills with player scouting. It is how to acuire talent and manage the salary cap. Almost all team have talent the BILLs are a perfect example of bad coaching and management. They spend a lot of money on some players from other teams and do not have build the depth needed -
I think RW will keep both for 1 more year

How to fix the Bills in 3 moves.....
dogbyte replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But there is no depth, so if there are injuries no replacements of quality. TOO MUCH MONEY tied up in few players -
We have totally frustrated the fan base. That should count for something

Maybe JP is not a good as we think. The coaches see him at pratice every week. It is up to the coach to build a winning team and to play the players that give him that chance. It is not the coach's fault the JP is not ready to play at the NFL level. If he can not do it at practice how do we expect him to do it at game time. I have only see JP do the long ball but is having problems with the other aspects of the game.
-
It has worked against the steelers. The reason is that Brady is throwing down the middle where only the TE can get it not out to the side where it gets picked off. Second NE uses anything and any player to help it win. Also winning the game is all that counts.

Bills upset bengals by introducing the new gatling gun offense KH starts first series followed by JP running the no-huddle on the next series followed by KH again Bengals are so confused that they can not stop laughing that they forget how to play and lose 24 to 23. Bills score winning TD in 4 plays when Bengals leave field with 2 minutes left thinking game is over because of laughing so much that they can not see the clock because of the tears in their eyes.
