  1. She was a biotch to Kevin.
  2. I'm not sure why everyone is saying that's such a bad matchup for Duke. Their worst matchup is against a bigger team, which Nova isn't. If you look at Nova's conference play, they did fine against the bigger teams like Uconn, Pitt, and Cuse. Against the 'scrappier' teams they were a buzzer beater away from losing 2 of 3 to Marquette and got rolled by WVU. If Nova wins it'll just be because they're better, which they might be.
  3. Yah I feel like Griffin is probably going to get his 25. Hopefully it's Harongody-like 25 where nobody else does anything. I think it's just going to come down to OU's 3pt shooting.
  4. I was telling my brother yesterday that Boeheim draws up the screen for Rautins after every time out when they need a basket. Seems to work every time too. They shot the ball at a rate that may not be sustainable going forward; but still an impressive game overall against a good team; or what I thought was a good team. I can't be sure now after watching UCLA and Washington.
  5. Not sure if my laptop sucks, but I have to downgrade the quality for it to run smoothly. It's still not bad though.
  6. Yah Blair in foul trouble means big trouble. I don't really see anyone in their region who can do that though. Maybe Duke if the refs fall for all of their flopping under the basket.
  7. Lots of people like Mizzou but I wasn’t impressed in their two games I saw vs. Kansas. They needed a miracle comeback to win at home and got destroyed in Lawrence. Maybe that’s just a bad matchup or whatever, but they’re another team that hasn’t done a lot away from their own building.
  8. I think their losing streak is a little overstated given that they’ve had to play three #1 seeds and two #3’s. @Pitt they got romped but @L’ville, Uconn, Nova, and Cuse were all very close games. I give them a decent shot vs. Mizzou but don’t see them beating Memphis.
  9. I don't know man - 'Nova is a lock for the S16 but Duke can lose to a Texas team that hasn't done anything away from home in Greensboro? I would say 'Nova has a better chance to lose to UCLA because I've been to Wachovia and it's a weak homecourt; plus UCLA is a veteran team. I have heard them crying about having to fly east though, so that's probably not a good sign. Biggest 1st round upset I have penciled in right now is Wiscy over FSU - and I love that it's the least popular 12 over 5 pick.
  10. Glad to get the #3 we deserved. Illinois and ASU should be flipped at 5/6 - I'm not too thrilled about that as a 2nd round match-up but then again, none of the 6's are easy outs. I think we can take OU if we get there.
  11. It is an elite basketball conference, no doubt. "Year in and year out the best" is ridiculous. Every year there is the team that "played UNC or Duke tough" in the conf. tournament and gets sucked off by Vitale & Patrick. They did it again today with FSU - "A Sweet 16 team without a doubt" - whatever - they said the same thing about Clemson last year and they got rolled by Villanova in the 1st round.
  12. VT coach Seth Greenburg on College Gameday talking about why the ACC is the best conference. Seth - A) You're wasting your time since there are no bubble teams in the Big East. B) Try beating Seton Hall next year.
  13. This is a pretty good write up on why we deserve a #3 seed even with a loss. Available 3 seeds If they're are 3 Big East #1's, that means a #4 seed amounts to a guaranteed pairing with UNC in the S16...unless the committee is dumb enough to give Mich St. a #1 over Uconn.
  14. Probably my favorite athlete on the planet at this point. What a likeable team, even with Eminem.
  15. Had it all the way. I'm guessing the line in Vegas swung from Cuse -3 tomorrow had they won in regulation to WVU -8 or so.
  16. That was some interesting drama. I like Bilas a lot but have no clue what he was watching. All AO did was scream and not in the guy's face after a block (who doesn't do that?) and the SH player starts jawing; not sure how SU instigated that. I agree that Devo acted reasonably during the scrum; he's got a reputation that hurts him with some calls, which is largely his own fault. I could tolerate his antics more if he was half as good at basketball as he thinks he is. He's not.
  17. I just think he's a franchise LT because I regurgitate everything ESPN tells me. I mean lets face it - that's the smug attitude that's common among everyone who doesn't like the guy. It's like all the mouth-breathers who insisted McGahee was a lousy blocker (which is ironic since that's the one thing he does well) because they happened to see a replay of the missed block vs. the Jets 3 years ago. Who was our LT before '07? It was a revolving door of futility. For the first time since Kelly retired, OL isn't a dire priority and not because it's the first time we have holes elsewhere. If you want to believe that year was the aberration then ok I guess, but don't act like the burden of proof is on somebody who wants to re-sign a good player at a vital position. That Andy Reid is interested tells me a lot by itself, since aside from Winston Justice he has a pretty good track record in his 10 years of showing he knows what a good OLman looks like. But you don't like him because he held out for $; I get it.
  18. Trading young franchise LT's in their prime is a hallmark of quality football organizations. Lol @ anyone wanting to do this.
  19. I actually think you're insane.
  20. The AFC South looks tough - each team has a solid foundation in place. Those NFC South teams are never good 2 years in a row, so it's a little premature to give them that much credit. I think teams like Atl & Miami are going to take a step back before they move forward.
  21. Or we could get lucky with a weak #4 seed in our bracket (ie Maryland 2004) and make the S16.
  22. Yeah. We were pushing the Jets around pretty good in the 1st game too until the 92 yard pick6. I think that was a huge turning point that gets lost in the midst of the Adrian Wilson & Cleveland debacles.
  23. Saying that a 36yr old WR would trade a long-term deal for $800k in 2009 is obviously Agent spin. I'm not sure why this is so bothersome. I really thinking you're taking the Buffalo inferiority complex to a new level here. I don't know what FA's who sign with the Jets say in their pressers, but I don't think many of them are well versed in the history of Shea Stadium, Joe Namath, and all the stuff that the fans would eat up.
  24. I don't know about more swagger, but as the guy known as "the poor Bills fan" in my office I'm anticipating work to be a little nuts. Not sure how I'm gonna handle that. Right now all I got is "my popcorn's ready".
  25. By far...really? After playing opposite JJ Stokes, Todd Pinkston, and Patrick Crayton?
