  1. I don't care for this team much. Bush to me is a lousy RB2 in a non-ppr league. Could be overlooked if you had a pair of nasty WR's, which you don't. Not a lot of upside in the depth either other than Chester (I guess Moore could score double digit TD's if things bounce right)...2 kickers and 2 TE's are good reasons to attend your draft. D+
  2. Way to keep it classy with the drunken bowling alley. That's worth a half letter grade. I haven't done a 2QB league but I'm pretty sure it's correct to fade the traditional strategy of waiting on a QB. That's an ugly QB lineup. OTOH your league mates likely went overboard if you were able to get such a sick RB trio so you were able to pick up great value with SJax and Gore... Not sure it's a good enough tradeoff since you have neither a top 10 WR or an elite TE. Would definitely try to make some trades. C-
  3. Alright here's what we got from the dreaded 6 hole. 2 RB's, 3 WR/TE's, 1 RB/WR flex. 12 teams. QB - Rivers(4), Hasselbeck(10) RB - Portis(2), Stewart(5), D. Brown(7), Mendenhall(9), M. Bush(13), B. Scott(15) WR - Fitz(1), Colston(3), A. Gonzalez(6), Avery(8), Olsen(11), Galloway(12) Cowboys D(14) Kris Brown(16) SJax was gone. I kinda think Jacobs and Moss are worthy of taking there over Fitz but since espn's rankings are stupid I was hoping one of them would drop to the 2nd. Didn't happen. Meh, should be a team to be reckoned with if Brown or Mendenhall busts out. Gonzalez and Avery are way underrated on espn.
  4. Nevermind pick #6 I got. That sorta blows.
  5. I assume this is a 12team league. I'm not really sure how I feel about this. RB's actually aren't terrible. While not a huge fan of handcuffing I'd feel better if you had 1-2 of Chester Taylor, Donald Brown, or Mendenhall. Hillis doesn't do anything for me. I wouldn't have taken Addai there. Wayne & Welker are obviously safe picks who actually dropped a lot farther than usual, assuming you took Wayne/Rodgers at your first turn. Don't like the depth there other than Cotchery. I like Zach Miller. Meh, it's not terrible. C Found a spot in my roommate's 12team league with the 1st pick tonight, so I've had the luxuary of doing a couple mocks. Hoping a RB like Portis, Westbrook, or Barber falls to the 2/3 turn. If not I guess I take 2 WR's along the lines of Smith/Jennings/White/Boldin/Colston. The worst QB I'd consider there is probably Manning...otherwise I'll take someone out of the Rivers/Romo/McNabb/Schaub group at the next turn. Feels like you have to take a QB by the 4/5 turn otherwise the best case scenerio is Palmer at 6.12. Another problem will be deciding on a RB there if I only have one. Lynch/McFadden/LJ/Ward/TJones and a few other guys all look the same to me...and then they're all gone by 6.12. Oh the horrors of the first pick! And thanks I hated that pos job so much. Stay away from non-profits kids.
  6. I would say you > girlfriend > buftex.
  7. So I'm doing a little fantasy prep, reading how Scouts Inc. has us ranked as 32nd runblocking OL and 31st passblocking and these are my first 2 checks of the box score. And apparently that was J. Jolly's 2nd sack? J. Jolly. We can't block J. freaking Jolly? Yah good luck to us.
  8. 1:30am is about an hour earlier than our usual timeslot, no? We're moving up in the world.
  9. Correct. NE is 44-16 on the road in that same time span. Not even close to the best homefield.
  10. NFL network did an hour show on this; not sure if it's the same thing. We are 8-1 in modern day home playoff games. Pittsburgh - without looking it up - couldn't have been much above .500 in the Cowher era. So yah it's kind of a joke.
  11. Thanks. Not too sure about some of the RB stuff anymore. Wells you have to downgrade the longer he's holding out and/or injured. I've heard Bernard Scott is looking like a talented player in Cincy; could definitely take carries from Benson. Avery's injury probably hurts his value a bit... Still think the way to go this year is to just take quantity over quality at RB. Pick 3-4 mid-round RB's like Donald Brown or McFadden and there's a decent chance one of them turns to gold ie Deangelo Williams or Chris Johnson last yr. I dunno, I just feel dirty spending a 3rd or 4th on the Grants and Lynchs of the world (in addition to Thomas mentioned above) when Manning and Witten are sitting there. Actually quitting my job just before work-league draft so will have to scramble to find a $ league this yr. This means I'll likely be playing vs. people who know what they're doing.
  12. Starting 2 QB's makes it a little less ridiculous but it's still pretty much a raping. I want in on that league.
  13. None of those are especially good matchups. I guess Garrard is the safest play. Going forward you should be fine with that committee though.
  14. Yah I mean there's an enormous difference between where LJ/Addai are going and the others. I actually think LJ could be decent value this year in the ~6th round, though his schedule is brutal until the playoffs. Addai I don't really trust to outproduce Donald Brown.
  15. Always? That's unpossible. Maybe if you had 5 equal stud RB's and a clear dropoff after that. That's very rare.
  16. I never understood the facebook thing for H.S. kids. Who are they trying to catch up with - their Nursery School friends?
  17. Best RB in that spot is the correct answer. QB would be insane, as would switching with the 5th guy.
  18. Mostly agree. Some posters here are more sensitive than TO. If you don't think he's ever had anything positive to say about the Bills, you don't remember him on NBC or Fox back when the Bills were umm, ya know, worthy of praise. Plus he had to work to get where he's at as opposed to being offered a sweet spotlight gig because he was a HOFer for the Cowboys, so there's something to be said for that. As someone with Sunday Ticket for 4 years I feel comfortable saying the majority of CBS/Fox guys suck; so I'd love to see a list of 10 or even 5 color guys who are better. Also like the Tirico/Jaws/Gruden team.
  19. Except he's not a top 15 fantasy QB.
  20. This is sweet. Huge disappointment if his college career resembles Etan Thomas. He was a joke his freshman year and developed into a nice player. But top 5 recruit - f*&* it - this is the kind of guy that always picks Uconn instead.
  21. 21 rounds is insane. I'm a McNabb guy but since he's a bit of an injury risk I'd invest in a better backup than Eli. Crabtree and Maclin are subpar 3 and 4 WR's. Can't complain about the RB situation when FWP is your 4.
  22. Yah this is becoming more popular for good reason. It's more fair to the 14th team. You still want the first pick.
  23. I think when you get to the 11th round you're looking for upside above all else. Freddy's ceiling is only so high when he's getting 35% of the work. When he's getting more than that in weeks 1-3 you're probably not playing your 5th RB that early anyway.... Leon to me is like the Norwood kid in Atlanta. Very nice player. Has been around long enough that he probably would've been fantasy-relevant by now if he ever will be. The drafting of Shonne Green isn't a good sign either. I think the Eagles are gonna score a lot. A Westbrook injury and McCoy could be $.
