The pass called was also a safe/short rollout in a game where the protection was ok as opposed to a deep drop and pass in the midst of our QB getting pummeled on virtually every throw. 65-70 yards is also an interesting estimate considering we were ahead by 3 points....did the Jets have a High School kicker last year? You're clearly just thinking backwards like a political partisan does.

Pinnacle has Jets -1. Yah, definitely not the usual 3pt home edge, but whatever, unless you can grab the +3 there isn't much of a difference between +2 and -2.

There's something about Joseph that just screams "Soft" to me - I still don't trust him to log big minutes in conference play. I am liking Triche at the point. He seems less turnover prone than Scoop and if he can knock down an occasional 3, that's all we really need. That is a pretty good win though. Cornell isn't half bad.

Gas Lamp is definitely where it's at for nightlife. Pacific Beach is cool too but it's a younger crowd so maybe not so much if you're married. I was a little disappointed in the world-famous zoo; probably because it's a zoo.

First game I've seen as well. Impressive. We're big, but not in a slow kind of way. Johnson is as good as advertised, which I have to admit surprised me a little. That's a huge plus. Defense looked good too. Boeheim isn't the sort of guy who makes gushy comments, so if he's optimistic about that, so am I. Not sure I come away from this 1 game with a strong feeling either way on the PG play. But it's nice to see Trische and Scoop both appear at least competent, so we can just platoon them or go with who has the hot hand on a given night.

I don't disagree. Parcells is pretty much the only guy who has done both successfully (though I'm pretty sure Cowher had lots of say post TD).

I think to disagree with this philosophically would be piling on. He's right. The problem as usual - is that their grades were not very accurate.

Random Pasqualoni tidbit: The year prior to his firing, there was a huge contingent of SU fans who crucified him for using this weird 'shield' formation on punts where two guys lined up in the backfield. I thought at the time that criticism was silly given that Cuse was about the only team in the country who matched - and often outplayed - Frank Beamer's VT Special Teams. If you've watched any college football this year you may have noticed that half the teams are now using that same formation.
