  1. Yah it had Loleodis fumble game written all over it. I actually bet a friend $100 they'd win down 14 because I was so sure they'd eek out somehow (if that's what it takes to jinx them so be it). Never been less surprised about an apparent game-losing fumble. Never been more surprised by a missed FG. Was anyone else looking for a flag when he missed?
  2. To be fair he probably was that six years ago but just didn't have a podcast so how would you know.
  3. All true. We still got jobbed by numerous calls in the 1st half. Of course nobody remembers that.
  4. Meh Greene is his 4th RB anyway until Smith gets hurt.
  5. Good points. Only thing I would question is the mauling OL. I mean, I think our OL is fine. But I'm not sure they're the 2003 Chiefs. The good rushing #'s we've put up have largely come out of the spread. Are they (and the RB's) suited for a physical, jumbo package, "I don't care if they know what's coming we're getting 4-5 yards"? I guess we don't know for sure because they haven't tried it but I sort of doubt it. I suppose it's worth a shot if Fitz doesn't improve drastically soon.
  6. I couldn't get the postgame either on my laptop or app, which was very disappointing. Theraputic to have some Schopp & Bulldog after a game like that. That's good they're supposedly fixing it.
  7. It's great that you ignore the part where his teams forced more fumbles than their opponents & throw in a sarcastic "I guess the fumble itself meant nothing" Really? Then you bring up a horrible Jauron analogy out of nowhere and accuse me of playing straw-man.... Classic. Pretty obvious the FG % is due to bad coaching, you got me there. So why is he 0-2 vs him in playoff games?
  8. Ya know, I think you're right. Maybe the first ever "we should pick up __" thread that makes sense.
  9. Right on. Whenever anything is said remotely negative after a win, the cheerleading squad on this forum wants that person lynched and their posting abilities revoked. Then a year later we get the "nobody was complaining when..." posts. Please.
  10. I didn't think there was any chance he'd go off on a rant like that unless he was right. It's funny how as much as everyone b!tches about announcers, they have a huge impact on fans' perception of the game. Every Monday morning people in the office and on espn are basically parroting everything Chris Collinsworth says during last night's game. Who knows, if this were a Sunday Night game, maybe they would've shown a bunch of replays of him getting clubbed in the head, and we'd all be talking about how bad the refs were. But because Rich Gannon and the 4th string CBS team doesn't pick up any anything, it sounds more like whining. For the record I do still agree with most everything that's been said here & on WGR. Like Bulldog said: "I might have to do something about it myself" - really Mario? No f'ing kidding, I think maybe anytime when you were losing 34-7 would've been a good time to rip his helmet off.
  11. No, he was unlucky that Denver recovered every fumble in the game. He did. Lets try actually reading. Oh, so because people defend a crappy coach with a huge singular outlier winning season, that's proof that MS sucks. Makes perfect sense.
  12. You laugh but it'd have been nice if they had done that to get Schaub five years ago.
  13. Depends on your roster. I wouldn't trust Shannahan to stick with 1 guy but if you're desperate at RB and/or deep at WR I don't hate it.
  14. [x] ignore facts in article. [x] compare 60-82 coach to 200-126 coach, as if they're comparable somehow? [x] flip-flop between reg. season & postseason as ways of measuring success, depending on when it's convenient for you (Vermeil won 0 playoff games in KC & that 1 SB trip the Ravens have in 23 years makes them a model franchise?). There's the trifecta of bad posting. Well done. It's funny, living in Philly & listening to their hysterical fans, I always ask them why Coughlin is 0-2 vs Reid in playoff games if he is such a vastly superior "postseason coach". Have gotten exactly zero answers to date.
  15. http://www.thebiglea...mbles-and-fate/ Marty is the unluckiest coach ever. When was the last time the Browns or Chiefs were good for more than one season btw? Kudos to Cowher for Carson Palmer breaking his leg and the worst officiating in SB history though (never thought the Bills-Skins would be topped in that department but it was).
  16. I just never really believed we were going to win the NE game. Jacksonville is the winner for me. I thought we had a decent team & it might cost us the playoffs and as it turns out it did. Also Bledsoe's debut, the Chad Morton game in '02 was pretty bad 'cause we sorta kicked the Jets all over the field that day & found a way to lose.
  17. Disagree to the extent that there's a good chance at least 1 of this year's SB representatives will come from outside the Pats/Packers/Saints/Giants/Broncos group. The problem with our QB right now is less about not being elite and more about making Kelly Holcomb's arm look like Troy Aikman's whenever he throws outside the hashmarks....and yet he's still a significant upgrade from the backup.
  18. Agreed except not that tough imo.
  19. The Jets do frequently wear white early in the year like many teams. Last year they did not, though their 1st game was at night. So it's not a dumb question but I would bet the Bills will be in blue.
  20. The Packers were a reach. With Vick you want a better backup qb, preferably a Schaub or somebody there. I personally would not have taken Peterson or Hernandez but that's about where they go in most drafts so whatever.. Dez Bryant is a steal where you got him. Yah I would probably play Bush over Peterson. Play Stevie if he plays.
  21. That is the rule of thumb. Though I think the Giants/Jets field might be worth a little less.
  22. I am a Charles owner but he is not getting 80% of the carries.
  23. I'd probably go with Hillis.
  24. Romo has always been good. Really played a similar game @NYJ in week 1 last year; except there was no blocked punt for TD this time. I guess when that doesn't happen you go from choker to clutch.
  25. If nobody told you they were replacement refs you wouldn't have noticed. But because you knew they were, every missed call is magnified. They were fine. Offensive picks - are you f'ing kidding me? When is that ever called? Maybe twice per year in the league all season.
