  1. Not me - I've never been that fan who cries about "Analyst X hates the Bills!" Could care less about power rankings and all that. I'm not that guy who e-mails out-of-town hack writers who trash my team... I was just throwing it out there because I believe Theismann had picked against them literally every game this year. Was just wondering if he was growing an "anti-Eagles Merril Hodge-like" vendetta. Apparantly not.
  2. I wish I could buy stock in things like: "This thread will turn into a 4-page train-wreck".
  3. Yesterday he picked the Fish....he must've just changed it.
  4. Same here....I always pull into the work parking lot just as they're getting to the best segment of the show.
  5. He's in San Diego now... I agree the Falcons are a fraud though
  6. Wade's doing a nice job too, considering the lack of talent he has.
  7. He's taking the Bills now. The conversation he had with defensive coordinator Jerry Gray must've changed his mind.
  8. Alexander & Droughns have to be your go-to guys. Since the defenses they're facing this week are no better (maybe worse) compared to your bench guys, why would you not start Alexander&Droughns?
  9. Unfortunately, nobody else in Philly looks remotely like the Iggles girls.
  10. Awesome game - you would think they would've realized after halftime that Kelly wasn't 100% and all we were doing was throwing screen passes to Thurman & Ken Davis. Oh well - I miss Tom Olivadotti
  11. NE is -10.5 @ Cleveland, not sure where you got 7.5? As usual, I would stay away from the Bills this week. If forced to make a pick I'd take the Bills using this season's "don't pick the underdog unless you think they can win the game outright" trend - but you can't like that 3.5 spread. I like Baltimore -6.5 vs. Cincy. My best bet would be Washington -2 vs. the Giants. The Skins defense has been great, and they're going against a rookie QB making his 1st road start. If you shut down Barber - which I think they will - the Gints have no chance offensively. The Giants only won the 1st meeting by 6 points at home despite 6 turnovers by the Redskins including a defensive TD on a Portis fumble. That was possibly the least impressive victory in the history of the league.
  12. I'm glad I made up my mind a couple years ago that the NFL and college hoops would be all I care about in sports. MLB, NBA, NHL are all officially a joke. It's not even debatable anymore.
  13. Agreed....I'll give this poll credit for at least putting Buffalo on the list. It always bothers me to see Pittsburgh & KC on these lists when they've blown homefield in the playoffs a combined 7 times in recent memory.
  14. Although the current statistics don't show it, NE's defense is better than Pittsburgh's, especially when the Pats are healthy. LeBeau has done a great job masking some of the Steelers' weaknesses in the secondary, but it will show up in the playoffs when they're not jumping out to 14-0 leads in the 1st Qtr.
  15. The game in Cleveland was 24-10 and it was 24-3 in the 4th Qtr. The other one was 34-16 in the 4th Qtr, 34-23 final.
  16. Well, the Bengals would have a winning record if the Steelers had lost to them once. I watched both of their games vs. Cleveland and they were both over by halftime, so I'm not sure what qualifies as "giving fits". The Redskins haven't scored 19 points all year, so once you get 2 scores up on them the game is over... They've played really well, though I still think NE is better.
  17. "We had a chance to sit down with Steelers defensive coordinator Dick Lebeau, and I don't really have anything insightful to say about it, but I just want to make sure everyone knows we have dinner with each coordinator, so I'm going to mention it 8,500 times in the next 3 hours". I'm waiting for McGuire to say: "You talk about an annoying guy. You wanna talk about an announcer with no talent; I want you to listen to this soundbite".
  18. That's what it is? I thought I heard him gargling in the booth the other night.
  19. Anyone notice he picks against the Bills every week? http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/features/talent
  20. Pats over Eagles. The race for homefield in the AFC between NE&Burgh ought to be interesting. Whoever has to settle for the #2 seed will likely have to play the Colts in the 2nd round, which could end up being the best game of the postseason (kind of like the Titans-Pats 2nd round game last year). I think the Pats will roll the Steelers if they meet in the title game.
  21. The Rock just called. He wants his cheezy "I'm cool because I talk in the 3rd person" gimmick back. It was almost funny 6 years ago.
  22. No thanks - WIP in Philly is enough to make me vomit. Frankly, I'm not sure who I'd root for in a Pats-Eagles SB.
  23. I don't think it's going to be an easy game either, but I don't think the players will take the fish as lightly as the fans are. For a 5-6 team to look past anybody they'd have to be even dumber than I thought. Plus, with Cleveland coming in next week it's not like they have a juggernaut to look ahead to.
  24. Yeh, they can be annoying. You would think 4 home playoff chokes under the current coach would've humbled them by now.
