  1. Well somebody has been listening to me at least... Nice post - that's the way I think it will go down IF we take care of our own business in Cincy. I was kind of jealous of Jest fans in '02 when they were scoreboard-watching NE's heart-stopping win over Miami in week 17, followed by watching their team beat the hell out of the Packers to wrap up a playoff spot. Seemed like lots of fun. I'd love for that to be us this year. Glad Nate didn't **** up Torry Holt's knee too bad. Go Rams
  2. Definitely go with Smith & Moulds. I like Evans as much as the next guy but his numbers are nowhere close to Moulds.
  3. Ahh the good old days of rap....great album. Am I getting old or has everything that's come out in the last 8 years just sucked?
  4. Do you think there's ANY chance Ray Lewis ISN'T "miked up" next Sunday night? Actually, that might be funny to see his reaction when Manning lights them up.
  5. I think Rich Kotite was their next choice, but he turned them down.
  6. Hmm, I don't disagree completely. At the time I was in the minority in liking the deal for the Skins. I still feel that way. Portis hasn't been a great Fantasy back b/c his offense stinks, but he's got 1100 yards and 4 YPC right now. Champ got lit up by Josh Reed last year. The Skins D is better this year than it ever was....Gregg Williams can't be THAT good, can he?
  7. Come to think of it - that's not a bad matchup for Seattle. You can pound Seattle up the gut, but the Jets offense is pretty finesse, even their running schemes. Hawks OL is pretty good, so they may be able to slow down the Jets speed-rushers. Plus, Herm has a tendancy to gagh at home against mediocre teams.
  8. Schedules, schedules, schedules... The Jets can easily lose 3 of 4. They'll be underdogs to the Steelers&Pats. Probably beat Seattle at home. @St. Louis week 17 is a toss-up. Say what you want about Martz, but I wouldn't want to play in that dome if the Rams are playing for their playoff lives. The Bengals have a 0.00% chance of the playoffs, even if they beat us. NE and Philly on the road - good luck. The Broncos last 3 games are @Tenn, @KC, and Indy. All 3 are toss-ups, they have to lose 2. Who knows re: Jacksonville - it's all up to Green Bay. If the Packers can't beat them at home then it wasn't meant to be. Their other 3 games are pretty easy.
  9. I'm glad my Fantasy Defense is playing against Peyton Manning in the first round of our playoffs.
  10. What's with these declarations of trap games every week? Fresh off a game vs. a 2-9 team, a 6-7 team is on deck. A trap game would be if we played a scrappy team like the Lions sandwiched in between the Pats and Jets.
  11. I'm one of the few people who neither love nor hate the Irish. I feel kind of bad for them though. They can't get ANYONE to take that job. Might as well post the opening on Monster.com
  12. Zero quotes from Moulds. You can't take this article out of context even if you wanted to.
  13. Fair enough...I can't quibble too much w/ those estimates. @Jets is the hardest game for either team. However, the Steelers at least have a chance to lose to the Jets & Ravens. There is no chance of NE losing to Cincy or Miami. Plus, the Patriots never ever take a game off, so the normal "letdown after a short week" theory does not apply to them like it does to every other team.
  14. That is correct - I pointed this out yesterday.
  15. Ok St, OU, Texas, Kansas? The Big 12 was a speed bump on the way to cutting down the nets in New Orleans. So I guess it doesn't "always" bite
  16. Seattle & St. Louis would have winning records if we didn't beat them. I said the same thing to the "cheerleaders" on this board after week 3....the combined record of our opponenets would've been a lot worse if we were 3-0 instead of 0-3. It goes both ways. How people fail to grasp this simple concept after it is explained 400 times is beyond me.
  17. Cuse owns the Big 12 when it matters - that's one point. Real classy move by John "I suck so I gotta pad my stats w/ .8 seconds left" Lucas. What a punk. Where's the hardware? Never mind, go ahead and act like you won the Nat'l title in December. Daddy must be proud. Payback's a B word - have fun watching Cuse on TV in April.
  18. You're annoying. 2003 tourney biotch
  19. The AFC East was assigned to play the AFC North.
  20. According to Madden 2005, Clements & McGee both expire after 2005.
  21. I love how everyone always takes the one furthest from the door because they think nobody else will think of doing the same, and it becomes the most frequently visited stall. 2nd one from the door is usually a safe bet.
  22. Well, I was right about the Jags, Seahawks, Rams, Lions, Bills, Chiefs, Broncos, and Kyle Boeller. Lets just forget about those Raiders, Jets & Dolphins comments. Gotta give myself a break on Carolina b/c of the injuries. Jury is still out on the Vikings.
  23. Since we're bringing back old threads, say hello to Hurdy Gurdy Man...
  24. By the same token Jets fans are complaining about their tough December schedule. To complain one way or the other is ridiculous - when it's all said & done we're going to end up all playing pretty much the same teams. The only difference is they played Houston instead of Jax (advantage them) and SD instead of Oakland (advantage us - at least in theory anyway).
  25. The Steelers will not be taking off the last game. Since they own the tiebreaker over NE, one of the following needs to happen: 1) Pittsburgh enters the final weekend with a 1-game lead 2) NE enters the final weekend with a 2-game lead Both are unlikely. They will either be tied, or NE will have a 1-game lead. Pittsburgh will come to play, although I still think we can beat 'em.
