This is what the fruits in SF talk about on

And SF - the most liberal city in America - is partially to blame for that -
The good news is Jax hasn't been any better at home this year.

Be careful - that's a classic trap game. -
Root for Jets or NE next week
BuffOrange replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh no - please don't make us play a Pittsburgh team that is playing for something! But seriously, if you root for the Jets because of that, you officially have the smallest penis in the world. -
Peter King has Bills at #6 & in the playoffs.
BuffOrange replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with whoever stated in another thread that the Bills are basically a mirror image of Jacksonville. A "manage the game" offense and a very solid defense that lacks a consistent pass-rush. The Jags matched up pretty well with the Colts this year. -
Sorry to bring this up, but I couldn't help but get upset when watching the Redskins-49ers game the other day... In 1999, Tennessee converted a supposedly legal lateral because although Wycheck's feet&body were behind the point where he threw the ball, the ball left his hand in front of the line he was throwing to. According to the NFL, the point where the ball leaves your hand was all that mattered. In that Redskins game Saturday, Shawn Taylor intercepted a pass, handed the ball off to another defender, and it was considered a forward lateral. How is this possible? If the key is where the ball leaves your hands and not where your feet/body are, then how can a handoff possibly be a forward pass? Bueller? Just further proof that the NFL makes up the rules as they go along IMO.

And to think these sarcastic "I told you so" threads are on the heels of an 8-6 record after seasons of 3-13, 8-8, and 6-10... If this team ever makes the playoffs or God forbid wins a division title, this board will turn into a regular Jerry Seinfeld standup act of "sarcasm" right before TD's introduction into Canton.

"This is a Super Bowl Caliber Defense"
BuffOrange replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeh, I've made about 50 posts in 2 weeks about playoff scenerios because I want us to lose with Bledsoe...thanks for clearing that up. I can't argue with people who don't even know what THEY'RE arguing about. One post you're saying the offense is playing great, and the next you're saying they're doing enough to win with a good defense & special teams. If your point is the latter and not the former then I don't disagree with you. I like that our defense & special teams are playing so well and contributing to points... All I'm disputing is this notion that our offense is a juggernaut. -
Lots of Iggle folks holding their breath today

I really don't see Philly losing in the NFC playoffs this year if Josh Reed were the #1 WR... But they will have no chance in vs. the AFC in the SB without TO. -

No it's not sarcasm... Name another "average at best" offense that has won the SB recently. Maybe the 2001 Pats, although that will always be with an asterisk next to that "trophy" thanks to Walt Coleman. The strength of the 2002 Bucs was obviously their defense, but their offense wasn't exactly a liability in the postseason either. -

I'm just curious - why do you mention the 2000 Ravens but not last year's Pats or the 99 Rams or the 98 Broncos or the 95 49ers or the Cowboys or the 91 Redskins.... The Ravens are the ONLY example of a weak offense winning the SB in the last 13 years. -
Why is everyone so confident Jacksonville
BuffOrange replied to BF_in_Indiana's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Since the Rams own the tiebreaker over Seattle, you only need a Rams win over Philly next Monday night - which should happen since the Eagles have the #1 seed locked up. That ensures St. Louis will be playing for something in week 17 because the Rams-Jets game is a 1:00 start; and they will not yet know the outcome of Seattle's final game. -
As soon as Favre rolled out of the pocket I KNEW he was getting picked. Why force that pass on 1st down? Dumb throw. Throw in 2 Green fumbles in the redzone and a missed chip-shot from a FG kicker who never misses, and that's a minimum of 12 points GB left on the board. Nice game by Fred Taylor, but otherwise I wasn't too impressed with Jax.

Why do you guys care about the Jets?
BuffOrange replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't get me wrong as I've been saying the Rams will suck since August but: Everyone's getting a hard-on about the Raiders & Titans chances for upsets, but the Rams have no chance in their dome playing for their playoff lives with a healthy Bulger? After the Ravens, I would say the Jets are our most vulnerable competition based on the schedules. The Jags & Broncos worry me the most right now. -
I don't think I do, but if the Patriots of all teams get screwed by the refs next week, will there be any doubt about Buffalo? Flame away - I have a strange feeling that this might happen.
-
It never ceases to amaze me that everybody can have the forsight to firgure out these scenerios, and not realize that.... THERE IS NO CHANCE OF THE COLTS PLAYING FOR ANYTHING IN WEEK 17.

BAL must lose 2, DEN,JAX must lose 1 or :
BuffOrange replied to Losman-McGahee-Evans's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm actually not looking forward to everybody and their brother next August calling us the "sleeper team" or the "team to watch out for". There's always that one token team every summer, and they ALWAYS disapoint. -

BuffOrange replied to Losman-McGahee-Evans's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd say the Ravens have better than a 50/50 shot of losing 2. The Jags probably have slightly less than a 50/50 shot of losing 1. The Jets losing 2 and Denver losing 1 are both about 50/50 IMO. I can see each of the 4 happening; it's just not likely that 3 of the 4 will happen. Anyone else have a bad feeling about the Pats/Jets game next week? It's just that I've grown to despise NE SOOOOOO much, I just KNOW they're going to screw us over the ONE time I root for them. -
Jerry Gray's week 1 screw up....
BuffOrange replied to Boatdrinks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was heartbroken after that game, and I'll say the same thing I said 14 weeks ago.... What game were you watching? Leftwhich did not take "forever" in the pocket (although there wasn't much of a rush). He took his drop and immediately launched a prayer. A blitz wouldn't have done anything. That one is on Clements. -
Jax only has Houston and Oakland left
BuffOrange replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Rams should have Bulger back, and since that is a 1:00 game, they will almost certainly be playing for something. It's not a stretch to say the Jets can lose that game. The problem with the Jags win today - is that this has become like a match play round of golf. Instead of 2 holes down with 3 to go, it's dormie 2, and we're running out of outs. -
Is it ok to reschedule an interview? Although it's not imparative that I switch the day, it would really be easier for me. Normally I wouldn't do it but, A) It is with a temp agency and not the company directly. And B) when we first made the appointment it sounded like there were a lot of openings for next week. Will this immediately put me in the doghouse or is it not a big deal?

Did anyone else think the Jags RT blatantly moved before the snap on Smith's 2nd TD?

Five Games All Bills Fans Should Watch
BuffOrange replied to ubhockey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you had a chance to make a deal with the future, what would be the least you'd agree to? 3 of those things HAVE TO happen. Jags&Ravens have to lose, and obviously the Bills have to win. I think I'd sign for that deal right now. Concede Denver as 1 of the wild cards, and just pray for the Rams to beat the Jets in St. Louis. Even though the Broncos/Chiefs game is a 50/50 shot, I'd consider it a bonus if Denver lost in addition to the other 3 outcomes. -

If you're scared about people jumping on our bandwagon at the end of this season, then you're not going to want to read any of the pre-season mags next summer. There won't be a more fashionable "sleeper team that really isn't a sleeper" pick.
