That is correct. Why give up a lot for a solid, non-elite RB when they already have one who will be hungry, coming off an injury? Obviously Henry is more proven than Buckhalter, but since the other RB will be splitting time w/ Westbrook anyway, it's not worth giving up anything for a marginal part-time upgrade.

You're right about the Colts not winning in Foxboro, but the same goes for every other team. The key will be not having to play there in the postseason. The Ravens will be pretty damn good next year. Jamal Lewis and Todd Heap were not healthy last year, plus they got Derrick Mason to throw to. Boeller is a ?, but he's played less than 2 seasons, so I think it's too early to call him a bust. Jaguars - classic case of a team taking a step backwards before they move forward. They needed every break in the book to finish 9-7 last year, so their record will not automatically improve because they're young, as some think. Falcons - He's joking, right? Bills - Uhhh, I hope so.

While the NBA prospect comparison is debatable, it means nothing to the All-American discussion. You're right Simien is an excellent player; but I was thinking both him and May are sort of a F/C; not really true PF's. KU and SU have both done a bad job of getting the ball to those guys in key situations in some of their tight losses. They are the best players on their respective teams by far.

He was a bit disapointing in the big games vs. Uconn & Pitt, but there's nobody else in the country better at the PF position. And that dunk against ND was just filthy. "Bring your lunch".

Based on his constant ribbing of Danny Ainge (Celtics GM) he certainly doesn't make a habit of homer predictions when his team is coming off a bad year. To each his own I guess.

That's ridiculous... Even if you don't like his pop-culture stuff, the guy knows as much sports as the Peter Kings of the world. He predicted the Patriots to be a good candidate for a "Ewing Theory" team because of Bledsoe before the start of the 2001 season. That actually kinda freaked me out.

Good question; I have often wondered the same thing myself. And what's with those intern applicants? A couple of them are funny, but most are just blatant, unoriginal rip-offs of Simmons himself; using phrases like "prominently involved" - give me a break. I mean, I know I occasionally copy his style too, but I'm not auditioning to work for him.

Mike & Madd Dogg are great when they're not talking baseball (which is too often, but that's NYC). Nationally, I don't listen to anything like I used to. I remember when ESPN had Tony Bruno and Peter Brown - that was a great duo. Does anybody remember the one-on-one radio network? I think they became Sporting News, but I'm not sure. Bob Kemp was great; I wonder what he's doing now.
