  1. Switch divisions last year and Buffalo is in the NFC title game....Atlanta might've snuck into a wildcard and filled Denver's "get spanked by Indy in the 1st round" role.
  2. I dunno, Pennington didn't look good, but they weren't horrid last week. They got stopped on a 4th & goal from the 1, they answered the bell after Miami's only score of the game, and the game was never really in doubt in the last 10 minutes. I also think if Leftwich played in the Big City, we'd hear less about his toughness and more about the Jags' lack of point production. I think he'll be a sitting duck against that pass rush unless Taylor has a big game. I hope you're right though.
  3. Too many people are picking the Jags in that game primarily because they played the media darlings tough last week... I have a feeling the Jets will find a way to win that game.
  4. When was the last time we LOST to an overrated NFC team at home? Bears in '02, Redskins in '03, Rams in '04, fill in the blank in '05.... I've been saying since June this will be "that game" so I ain't turning back now.
  5. Bledsoe sucks
  6. Is this the official predictions thread? Because it doesn't say anything about being official. Bills - 23 ATL - 14
  7. What makes you think that? You're making it sound like JS was interviewing WM in an interrogation room all by himself like Dennis Franz on NYPD blue. Some random media person asked WM about MM's criticism, and WM said what he said. I thought it was a bit odd myself.
  8. Hmm, I'm always tempted to take Wisconsin in these big home games and they always seem to come up small. I guess I'll take all the favorites this week.
  9. If memory serves, the refs mysteriously "forgot" the 10 second runoff rule on that last drive, which was enforced in the Rams-Cards game last week.
  10. So throw deep, run outside, throw screens, do play action, and toss in a flea flicker.... Sounds like an awesome gameplan. What do you mean their D isn't known for their speed? I know they're not very big, so they have to be doing something right.
  11. That'd be funny if it weren't true
  12. Dude, Tampa has worn white at home for the 1st half of the season every single year since forever. When the schedule came out in May or whatever I was like: "Oh, the Bill will wear blue that game".
  13. Fixed your post.
  14. You have to make the distinction between "media" and "vegas" over/underrated. Your list pertains to media and not Vegas. The Chargers were getting 3 pts in Denver last week which was obviously right (everyone picked SD to win that game), this week they're giving 6 to the Giants at home. If you want to take the Giants there be my guest, but I think SD is going to smoke 'em. Green Bay does suck, but the problem is Vegas understands this better than the general public. They were 3 pt dogs in Detroit in Week 1 for a reason, when everybody and their brother picked the Packers in that game. Likewise, Baltimore was only giving 3-4 against a horrible Tennessee team, so it's not like they're getting a ton of respect either. I agree on the Bears. I was suprised to see they were dogs last week at home vs. Detroit, and a little surprised to see them getting a FG at home vs. Cincy this week. As far as the point spreads go, the most overrated team so far has been Oakland IMO and I'm picking against them for the 3rd straight week. They only got 7 in NE, and 1 vs. KC, this week 8 in Philly. I don't know whether to chalk it up to Randy Moss hype or what. The Rams are always a good team to bet against especially on the road, and I think Denver will be this year as well. The pending status of Vick has that game off the board right now in a lot of places, but I have seen the Bills opening as a 1 pt favorite in a few places, and I really like Buffalo there FWIW.
  15. Ha - seriously - prepare for the wrath of TD nation. Hard to argue with any of that though. One thing that's hard to teach is accuracy, and his accuracy was woeful even when he had protection. I don't rule out the possibility of him developing into a good player and I didn't see the preseason or training camp and I don't want Bledsoe back, but yeah - he sucks right now. I said all along last year they should've given the kid some reps last year instead of chasing some pipe dream of a SB via the road wildcard route. Since they decided not to do that, grab Dilfer or somebody in the offseason for this year. Now our defense is going to be torn apart by the time this kid develops if that ever happens. OK flame away.
  16. GB has gotten a ridiculous number of calls at Lambeau over the last several years, and the one time I take them in my suicide pool they get jobbed against Cleveland - who traditionally gets about as many breaks from the refs as Buffalo? Unbelievable
  17. Yah, that was definitely a fumble.
  18. I disagree. Bouncing back with a win over an overrated non-conference team at home after a dismal performance is nothing we haven't seen before....Rams last year, Redskins in '03, Bears in '02.... For once I'd like to see the Bills respond to SUCCESS and not read their own press clippings the week after a WIN. Until they learn how to do that they'll never be consistent, and they'll never win a Super Bowl. I hear all this talk about a "wake up call" and wonder how a team that hasn't made the playoffs in 5 years needs a "wake up call" after winning 1 game in a row against a mediocre at best team at home. The Pats came into last year having won 2 of 3 SB's and didn't need many "wake up calls" last year.
  19. The 4:00 are/were especially brutal. I have Sunday Ticket and there were a few times where I had to resort to Rams/Cardinals action because every other game had commercials.
  20. I see the Pats and they obviously don't have turnover problems very often, but when they do lose, turnovers and penalties usually play a role. They don't lose because their offense is completely helpless and incapable of getting a first down.
  21. They sure talked like Tarzan and played like Jane last week.
  22. Interesting....if I had to blame 1 guy I'd blame the guy who ran backwards 5 steps and went out of bounds. This I agree with. "Bledsoe getting sacked was all TH's fault"
  23. For the last time, you have to move the sticks to run more plays. More plays means more runs. You HAVE TO convert a 3rd & 5 once in a while to make this happen. I don't think we ran more than 20 plays in the 1st half...kinda hard to run it 20 times. I always here people talk about "finding an identity" and I don't know what the hell that means. Somebody tell me -- what is New England's identiy offensively? It seems to me they adjust based on what the defense is giving them and move the ball accordingly - whether it be running or passing. When your damn QB cannot come close to completing a 5 yard pass you can't win in this league. It's not High School and it's not Texas vs. Baylor.
  24. The fact that they had no turnovers, only 3 penalties and still got their asses kicked so badly is actually kinda discouraging to me.
